We are hoping to travel from Trieste to Venice on 26.6.2025 at 10.35 to find "seat reservations are not available". Is it that we are too early? If so, when is the advice to next check? Or might it be that no reservations are required? Thanks".

My specific question is as follows:We want to reserve seats from our home town to Paris. We can reserve the seats on the Eurostar service but not yet (too early to book) for the home town to London part.  Can we proceed with the Eurostar reservation then add the hometown journey when it is available to book or does this all need to be booked at the same time to count as the ‘outbound’ journey.  Please help?

I have purchased a Eurail Italy pass and some of the journeys I have planned require a seat reservation. When I try to book a reservation in the Rail Planner app the site continues to buffer and will not load?  Can anyone give me guidance on this issue?

I'm planning a trip in Eurail app from Visp to Andermatt, following the schedule shown in the first screenshot. The train number is RE522.However, when I checked the timetable in the SBB app, it showed the schedule in the second screenshot, with the train number R43.I'm wondering if these are the same train. Is it okay to board R43 while I add my trip in the Eurail app as RE522? Thank you very much for your assistance. 

Dear,          I would appreciate any help here. We will have a Eurail global pass. The info I am after is will I need separate ticket to travel within Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and Frankfurt. If yes, is there a daily pass (or family pass) for 1-2 days that I can use.Much appreciated.

We would like to find out how easy/difficult it would be to travel from London to Stockholm during November. Would be 1 adult, 1 youth, 1 senior passenger. Are buses in Denmark included in the Interrail Global Pass? For example; • from Allborg to Hou Kirke If the buses aren't included, does anyone have a tip for us on how to use all public transport in Denmark most cost-effectively? Hello, I’m buying an Interrail Global pass of 2 months in a row and I have two questions for my next trip. I’m Italian and I must return to Italy after the start of my journey for 1-2 day/s. I’m thinking to buy a separate ticket from Trenitalia to travel from Italy to Switzerland and use the remain days of global pass to travel. -Firstly, is my interrail still valid ( obviously outside my home country ) after I have used outbound/inbound days? and the second question is:   -Can I use outbound/inbound days for two outbound ? For this second chance I could buy the separate ticket from Switzerland to Italy and I can use the second outbound to go in Switzerland again. For the return I’ll buy another ticket from Trenitalia.

4 of us, 2 couples, will be traveling in Switzerland and Italy this September. Should each of us have our own e-pass on our phone or is it better for 1 person from each couple to have 2 passes?

I wanted to ask regarding my journey which involes multiple cities. If I’m going in a group of 5 should I book using the train’s local website or the eurail website regarding getting seated together. Cause I heard booking using eurail might not get you seated together and its more expensive, is that true?. Also, whats a good amount of time to prepare for booking a seat reservation for places like Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona etc. (Would a month before the travel date be possible to book for 5 people in these places?)

Hello !Does anyone have an axperience about travelling with a dog and an interrail pass ?We want to travel in France and Italy with our dog next week ( 29 march-6 april). We havn't buy the interrail pass yet because we can't find a clear information about how to buy him his ticket.Indeed, we can buy a ticket for a dog in the website if we buy an adult ticket. But with interail we dont buy an adult ticket. So how to buy the dog ticket ? We already called trenitalia and they dont have an answer. So we are a bit blocked.Thanks a lot !

Hi there, I wanted to go to Italy by train with my mum and medium size dog.First we wanted to go from Czech republic thru Greece and then Italy and back, but it seems Greece isn’t passable still. We replanned and decided to go around Italy, but I wasn't able to make a reservation in night train from Vienna to Rome.Then I haven't found any information or possibility to book a ticket for a dog or any condition on the web of Tranitalia.I am quite lost.Do you have any experience with / suggestions for traveling by trains around Europe with a dog and mum by the time of Christmas? :)Thank you for any help!

I just discovered one small problem regarding booking sest reservations using raileurope. I’m in a group of 5 and one of them will be buying a eurail pass since he resides in europe while the rest 4 will be on interail. And when I checked to book seat reservations, I cant book seat reservations for interail and eurail in one booking. Is there any way I can solve this so we can be seated together?. Moreover not just raileuorpe but other local sites like oebb and deutschbahn doesn’t show the seating map. So is one of my friends just stuck on his own in the train for the rest of the trip?

So far, my plan includes Milan → Ljubljana → Prague → Krakow, but I still need to pick three more destinations.One idea I have is to continue with Vilnius → Tallinn → Helsinki, but I’m not sure if that’s the best choice. Planning a trip with a 4-day global Interrail pass and on the final day (27/04) will travel from Paris home to London.If I make a passholder reservation on the last Eurostar to London that day, what will happen if the train is cancelled?Seems that generally Eurostar will cover accommodation and book passengers onto a train the following morning, but I don't know whether this applies to passholders? Especially given that I wouldn't have any travel days left by the following morning?Thanks in advance for any advice!

Im planning to travel 19 MayPart of the journey is between Milan and Lugano.  I was looking yesterday trying to decide on the best route, and the whole journey from Milan to Basel was €6.Ive come to book it today and it states there is no service available.Can anyone help and advise how I can resolve this please? 

Hi there! This summer I’m going to Norway and I’ve used the interrail discount to book a ferry between Stavanger and Bergen. It states that I should show both my interrail pass and my booking when boarding the ship, but I find it unclear as to whether I should fill in a travel day for this journey or if simply showing the pass is sufficient.Thanks in advance!

I am planning to book Eurail passes for my family of 5 (2 Adults, 2 Youth, 1 Child). We are planning to book 1st Class Eurail passes. I understand that some trains in our itinerary require seat reservations and I have a few questions:If I have booked 1st Class Eurail passes for every traveler in my family, will I still be required to reserve seats on the trains that say a reservation is required? When seat reservations are required, am I required to pay the 1st Class seat reservation fee (which is higher than the 2nd Class seat reservation fee) even though I will already have a 1st Class Eurail pass? For the trains that do not require seat reservations, if I do not reserve seats am I still likely to find 5 seats together in 1st Class so I can feel confident my family can sit together in 1st Class even if we don’t have seat reservations?

Hello,I purchased a 7-day Global Pass for 4 people, so have 4 pass numbers and added a trip with multiple cities and dates (below).  If I connect the trip to my pass and later need to change dates and cities, can I do that w/out disconnecting pass from a trip? Hi,I am ready to book my first set of reservations for my sister and myself.I want to book us on a train from Paris to Lucerne in August.  I did a search that said we should use Gare de Lyon in Paris.I went to buy the reservations but they only list Basel and they don’t mention Lucerne.Do the reservations just say the name of the first city and not the name of the second train when you change trains?Please help.
