Hi all, hoping someone can clairfy - first time using trains in Europe and want to enusre we get the right one.  Thinking of doing a trip to Italy(overnignt in each maybe 2 overnights  - Rome, Pisa, Bologna and return.  One site says we can use Eurorail but another one says to use interail.  Does anyone know? which ever one we purchase, do we still require to make a reservation?  

HelloI’ve tried every option I can find to make a reservation on the fast train between Nimes and Madrid for mid May. (So within the 90 day limit). On Rail Europe it won’t let me select a ticket. And on the Interrail website it tells me I can’t book this route. The best advice I’ve seen is to ring the Renfe reservations line but I speak no Spanish so am wondering how viable an option that is.Hoping someone can advise me what I need to do. I’m trying to plan a trip on the Interrail website… but if I enter 4 destinations, it calculates 5 days of travel. To be specific: London - Trier (day 1)Trier -  Etoy (day 2)Etoy - Turin (day 3)Turin - London (day 4) So.. if I put London as a starting point (with a 0 night stay), so I can book the travel from London to Trier, the website tells me I have 5 days of travel. Sooooo…. I am missing something or misunderstanding the logic here… Help? Marie

Hello. I have a Global Pass. I booked a trip on the Caledonian Sleeper from London Euston to Inverness for May, 2025 using the room supplement option on the Caledonian website. This is available for Interrail Pass holders and covers only the sleeping compartment, not the train ticket. When I pull up this connection on my Rail Planner there appears a notice that seat reservations are required for this train. Since I have a sleeping berth, I don’t need a seat reservation. Can I ignore this notice or must I clarify the situation manually? Thanks.

I hope somebody can help here.My family and I are traveling from Barcelona to Madrid and back again in April. I have made seat reservations using the eurail site and have received allocated seats on the train.The seats are not together however and have been randomly assigned in the coach. I have tried to update these using the app but been told that this is not possible. I have contacted Eurail customer support and they have also said that this is not possible.I spoke with Renfe who told me that there are lots of available seats on both of the trains we have reservations on, however they are not able to change the reservations made through the Eurail site. The customer support agent from Renfe actually made reservations with seats together for me and gave me a reservation number and said if I can update the reservations in Eurail using that number then there is a table seat for the 4 of us available on the train we are due to take. Before my Euro trip, I’d purchased Euro Train Global Pass, and I'd booked the 1-calss seats ticket from Rotterdam centraal station to Brussels Midi/zuid station on 2December2024 regarding my planned schedule on the  EuroStar train(ref:CZ7F3J) but the Euro Star train was cancelled while I was waiting on the platform. I had tried to ask the CS services at Rotterdam Station but they said "they do not know how to fix because this is the Eurostar company problem, we cannot not help you. "  I also could not find the agent counter of the EuroStar at the whole Rotterdam centraal station. Regarding this issue, could you please advise the solution to me if I meet the same issue next time. Thank you very much.

Please reply fast I am leaving tomorrowI have a 15-day Flexi Pass, and I need clarification on how many days will be counted for my upcoming journey.I will be leaving from Rome at 5:10 AM to Milan and plan to book a train from Milan at 18:10 PM, which will drop me in Prague at 10:39 AM on 27 February 2025.This journey requires me to transfer at Zürich HB at 21:40 on 26 February and then take another train from Linz Hbf to Prague, arriving at 6:52 AM on 27 February.Could you please confirm whether this journey will count as one day or two days of travel on my Flexi Pass?I have attached an image of my travel details for reference. Hi,My friends and I are looking to travel to Nice from Verona in August but the routes on Eurorail say the journey could take up to 15 - 22 hours!!?? However if you look in June, the journeys are around 6.5 - 8.5 hours?? Does this route get released at a later date? Any help would be appreciated!!Thank youuuu :)

Hi Community, I am visiting Europe for the first time with my family (2 adults and 2 kids (10,14 yrs) for around 8-9 days. Reaching Rome via flight. 2 days in Rome, 1 day each in Florence and Venice. Than planning to take a train from Venice to Paris and after 2 days in Paris. Train to Interlaken (1.5 days) and back to Rome via train. I need your expert opinion: 1. Do you think this itenary with work?2. Do you think 5-7 days pass will be beneficial. Also does the pass work in local transport (within a city) or just intercity and country.3. If this doesnot work can you suggest a trip? We will be in Rome on March 25th and will depart back from Rome on April 2nd (Noon).Appreciate your expert Advice ASAP. Thanks

I already book my Greek ferry tickets in the Blue Star Ferries site. I received the confirmation e-mail, but I don’t have a specific seat number, is that normal? The other question is how to add this greek ferry journey in the interrail app? Thanks!

So, I basically use google calendar to organize and plan my whole life, including interrailing trips and itineraries (which took quite a lot of manual labor….): I create calendars, export them to friends and family, and I also subscribe to calendars created by other people and import specific calendar events to my existing calendars (e.g. like specific trains trips which I buy from the Swedish train company SJ). I then gather and colorize all these different calendars in my phone (or on the web using a PC) using the google calendar app, so that everything ahead of me is accessible in a systematic, accessible and pedagogical way.I am therefore quite surprised that it doesn’t seem to be possible to subscribe to an existing interrail trip (where I have planned all the upcoming train schedules and trips) as an address in the iCal format or as a single calendar event which you can import to an existing calendar.Does anybody know any “workaround” to achieve this for an existing trip? We are two people with global passes. Please can anyone advise if the following is realistic :Arrive Bucharest Nord May 14h Depart Istanbul May 19th if we make a reservation at Bucharest immediately will  this be enough time to make sure we will get a reservation ?If we the leave Istanbul on May 27th for Sofia booking as soon as we arrive in Istanbul(May 19th ) is this enough time to secure reservations in Istanbul.Thanks for any help/advice

Is there a place that can help me with that?I tried via Eurail,  and via nscf-connect, but no seats! (From Brussels to Lyon).Just nothing seems available. Je ne retrouve pas ce trajet sur l'application Interrail pour valider une journée de voyage, est-ce que mon ticket de réservation reçu par mail ainsi que mon pass suffisent ? Si non, comment dois-je m'y prendre ?

I have 2 global passes, 7 day and 10 day, and am planning a round trip from London via Eurostar to France and Spain and back.I’ve made reservations using the 10 day pass number, but it’s now clear that I will only be travelling for 7 days.Is it possible to transfer the reservations made with the 10 day pass to the 7 day pass?Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there, my partner and I are going to buy a Eurail pass. We are entertaining the idea of a first class global pass, but if we do second class, can we purchase first class seat reservations? Let me know if my question doesn’t make sense.

This is our first Interrail trip, and I think I have most of the details under control.My confusion starts with the travel app.I understand the definition of a travel day - but…On our first day of travel we are going from St Pancras to Lausanne with changes in Paris and Geneva.The last leg of the journey does not involve the need to book seats, so we are free to travel as and when we please.How do I record this in the app as a travel day?Do I need to include all the interstitial stops, or do I merely select the date and enter the start and end points?The start time is fixed by the service from London that we are booked on, but our final arrival time is open to discussion as we can just jump on any train that covers that leg.

I have 4 days of interrail global pass. I want to go to Rome from Leipzig. It is like 18 hours long. If I start my travel at 1pm and get into my last train at 8pm, do i need to activate my second day for the trip at 12 am again? or is it completed with just 1 day?

Does Global pass include interrail pass automatically? If I want to catch local train going from Airport to local train station OR from local train station to Central station of any city in Germany. Can I use Global pass?
