I wanted to ask questions on how seat availability is on trains which state “This is a popular train. Seat reservations are recommended but not required.”. For example theres a train from budapest to Prague but it says seats are recommended. Obviously if its possible to save money I would want to not pay unnecessarily for seats that are available without booking. For context we are group of 4 people and was wondering if all 4 would be enough for these kinds of trains. Would highly appreciate someone who has done this trip before and has experience to give advice on the subject

Hello. After buy my Eurail Global Pass I need to have a book for each train of my pass? I need to make reservation for each train? (I mean reservation ticket, not seats reservations) or only I need to go directly to platform on each station?Thanks.

Looking forward to my first Eurail trip in April/May.I am still confused about what I do if I want to travel on a service that is not currently listed in the train planner app?I am told that this can be done ‘manually’, but the ‘official’ services listed have a particular format and set of conventions that I might find difficult to manually replicate. Is it actually easy to ‘manually’ add a train journey that is not found in the mobile rail planner? kind regards

Hi  i have a eurail pass. I have booked a seat reservation from paris nord to brussels midi station.i booked it from eurail planner app and it took me to Eurail website for seat reservation.in my app under my trip i saved the train and it shows train number - EUR 9315 but in my ticket that i got in my email the train number is EUR 9415 also when i am trying to find this train on my planner app is it not showing up there.  its my first time using this app have i done any mistake? 

Hey all,I want to go From Amsterdam to Zurich with IC 60403. This train departs Amsterdam 20:15 and arrives at 8:05. then i need to take another train from zurich EC 33 at 8:33 to 14:42. will i be able to make this transfer? does nightjet arrives on time?  also i checked https://www.zugfinder.net/en/train-IC_60403 and the train was delayed many times. is there any alternative to this route?

Hi, this is my 1st trip to Europe so it is rather confusing when i was trying to understand the type of pass to buy ie Swiss Travel Pass or Eurorail. i am also unsure which route would require me to make reservation and the cost involved etc.                                                                                                        For my maiden trip to Europe, I am planning a 2 weeks trip to Switzerland and Italy. I have eurail pass and i am trying to book this ticket from zurich to venice. How and where i can book this ticket?  also i will be travelling from Amsterdam and reaching Zurich around 8:05 am so will it be possible to catch next train at 8:33 am?  

Hi.On the Engsurail app it states that pass holders get 10% discount on all get your guide bookings According to Get your guide it's only for your first booking.This is very misleading, please can someone clarify

This will be my fourth time using a global interrail pass and thought I’d learnt all the lessons but I’m stressing out about an upcoming trip to Switzerland and hoping someone can help me out.I used the b-Europe website to reserve seats on the Eurostar from London to Paris return. The trip is at the end of May so sorting the Eurostar seats was the priority. We need to be in Paris for lunchtime on Sat 31 May to catch our Eurostar. But now I’m struggling to book the 09:34 TGV service from Basel to Paris on 31 May. There doesn’t seem to be any option for Interrail pass holders to reserve seats and I don’t know whether it’s because they’ve sold out or have just not been released. I’ve looked on various sites, including the TGV Lyria website - I couldn’t find anything conclusive as to when the tickets will be released. I’m looking at alternative routes, but also struggling to find anything for Sat 31 May to get us back to Paris from Switzerland.Appreciate any advice, or info on whether the

Under benefits section of eurail planner app there is a discount for Disneyland paris ticket. When i tap on it, it says update app. My app is already updated to latest version does anyone here knows how to avail that discount offer? 

We want to book seats and bike spaces on the TGV between Paris and Bordeaux. We don’t want to dismantle our bikes. On the SNCF website I can’t see an option for interrail pass amongst the passes to then reserve a seat and bike placeHow do I go about using my interrail pass to book my group and our bikes on a TGV train please? I know I am going to have to book this quite in advance as we plan to travel in the summer when it will be busy. Thanks

I want to leave London and travel to Paris, France10/08/2025 leaving france on 1208/25 for Belgium; leaving Belgium on 14/08/25 for Berlin; Leaving Berlin on 17/08/25 for Amsterdam and leaving Amsterdam on 19/08/25 returning to London.My question is which trains can I take and where can I find their pricing.

i’d booked the class 1 seat before the trip on the schedule to take the euro star train from rotterdam to brussels, unluckily the train was cancelled! how can i continue my trip through the train cancelled issue?

I’m just checking I understand this right before I book, buts basically with a global pass you can use the Eurostar, but pay a fixed price do the seat reservation depending on your destination. Only checking as this sounds ridiculously cheap compared to how much the Eurostar costs usually ??but if that is the case then that’s amazing

I am trying to book a journey from belfastgrand central to Dublin Connolly.The Eurail app says that this journey is “unavailable for second class pass”, However when I check the Translink (Northern Ireland. transport) Website there seems to be plenty of second class seats available… So I can't understand why I can't add this journey? The trip I need to book is on 3/12/24 departing Belfast grand central at 2pm  Any help would be appreciated!!! I don't want to have to wait for the train that leaves at 6pm… which seems to be the only one available with a second class pass. Help!!! 

Hello Everyone, I’ll be travelling to Europe during April this year and was thinking to buy the Eurail Pass for my travel from one city to another. My passport is having just the Given Name(First Name) as two words “ABC XYZ” while my Surname(Last Name) is Empty so how should I be entering my name while buying the pass so I do not face any issues during my travel. Let me know if someone have had the same issue and how you addressed it. Thank You in Advance :)

Where do I enter my Global Pass number when booking the Prestige Goldenpass Express so I am only charged for the seat and not the actual travel? I can not find the correct place for the life of me. Please assist. Thanks SO much!!!

Hi, im trying to book seat reservations to travel from Narvik to Stockholm in March but when i enter my Pass Cover Number it tells me this:The card number isn't valid for booking journeys in SJ's digital sales channels. Please contact the retailer you purchased the card from to book a journey.I’m not sure what do now and the tickets are quite expensive and i would need the discount from my interrail pass. Would be very glad for any help, thank you :)
