Mistakenly bought a seat reservation on Eurostar from London to Brussels. I then bought the correct seat on another Eurostar train (to Amsterdam).How do I cancel the first booking and hopefully get a refund even if only partial, also to allow someone else to get the seat Thank you 

This connecties train Has reserved Seats but they cannot be refunded because another train that caused the problem. Can I get a refund-actie and where van I claim this (or try)?

Genève-Cornavin to Interlaken Ost on Oct 29 with a 1st Class Eurail Pass. Is a seat reservation required on this route via Bern? Also wondering if there’s any advantage to reserving on SBB InterCity trains

Lyon → Geneva (Oct 28)Lyon Part-Dieu to Genève-Cornavin on Oct 28 with a 1st Class Eurail. Is it TGV Lyria that needs a reservation, or TER regional option with no reservation. Late morning or early afternoon travel. 

My friend and I are planning to carry 28 inch suitcase for Spain trip. We book Eurailpass 2nd class. We will take Iryo and Renfe. Do we allowed to carry it or we have to pay extra luggage?

Dear All Community member,I have plan to visit Interlaken and Zermatt next December (exact date on December 24th, and December 25th) each trip take from Basel. I have seen the schedule on the eurail app, which state that seat reservation optional.I do not have experience to visit both places before during christmas holiday. May I ask your suggestion whether it is necessary to book seat reservation for both trip during christmas holiday? Thank you for your help.

We’re trying out the plus pass for the first time, travelling from Switzerland to the UK.The TGV Lyria and the Eurostar both require 1 credit each, so our return trip will be a total of 4 credits. Because we only have 3, we’ll need to pay for one reservation (like with a regular pass), as stated on the Interrail website info about the plus pass.But I can’t figure out how to pay for the additional reservation- does anyone know? When I try to reserve through Interrail I get a message saying “ Not enough free reservations left!” but no option to pay instead.Do I need to use another provider, or is there a way around this within the Interrail reservations booking system?Thanks for your help…(And I agree with many others on other threads, it would be great if the number of credits included in the plus pass is increased! Otherwise I think we will not use it again.)

I would like to take the INC 1962 train between Catania and Florence on January 10, 2026, but I don't find it available. That train appears in the schedule up to December 12, 2026, but not after that. Does anyone know if that train will appear later or if for some reason it won't run in January 2026? There was a recent schedule update, but this train still doesn't appear after December 12th.

I’m using my purchased Eurail pass to travel from Paris to Basel SBB. The route starts at Paris Nord and transfers at Paris Est via public transportation. Can I just start at Paris EST to avoid the public transportation transfer?

Last year I won a 7 day 2nd class interrail pass. Can I upgrade this to a 1st class pass? If so, how does this work? This question is not about reservations, but about the pass.

Train will be replaced by a bus service (a direct bus and a bus with several stops). We would like to take the direct bus to Mönchengladbach at 9.55 am. Does anybody know if this bus service is included in the Interrail Pass?

How far in advance can I book seats on TGV from Nice to Paris 

I work for a UK rail company and we get FIP vouchers for free travel on some European service.I need to reserve 2 seats on a service but I am unable to just reserve the seats without buying a ticket.Any advise would be great.travelling from Paris Gare de Lyon to Zurich.thanks

I’m trying to book Lyon Par Dieu to Torino Porta Susa on 3 September (having already paid/booked reservations from the UK to Lyon via Lille Europe since the whole journey from the UK to Turin was showing as bookable on the Interrail app) but there sees to be no way to reserve on the 17.20 Freccia Rossa (direction Milano)! I’ve found posts on here from 3 years ago saying Frecciaitalia trains to/from Paris are not part of the Interrail network and that many on here were pressuring trenitalia to change this. Is it possible now? Did you succeed?Since I’ve already booked the other reservations (Eurostart and snc from Lille to Lyon) , I now risk losing money if I can’t book the last leg of my journey (Lyon-Turin) 😯

We live in FranceWe have activated all of passes on my mobile travel start date 21:10/2025We start travelling tomorrow 21 October 2025 - 9:41 TER Nice St Augustin - Ventimiglia (no reservation required) 10:59 Ventimiglia - Milano Centrale (reservation required) 19:13 Milano P. garibaldi - Vienne (nightjet reservation required)Return 30/10/2025 19:18 Vienne - Milano P Garibaldi (nightjet reservation required)We have bought tickets through the Rail Planner for the trains where a reservation is required but BEFORE we created the trip on the mobile pass. We have tickets that we will print. I have now created a Trip and added these journeys. What do we do now? There’s a little sliding button showing next to each journey. Do we need to activate that to get the QR code for travel? Need a little bit of help getting started… Thanks

I have already purchased my Eurail Global Pass, and it is linked to my Trip in the Rail Planner app. Also I made seat reservations for my train journeys using the ÖBB (Austrian Railways) app as I will be travelling during a busy time.  Now that I’m trying to add those trips to Rail Planner app, I noticed that these specific journeys do not appear in the search.I want to ensure that these reserved trips are still valid under my Eurail Pass, and that I won’t encounter any issues during ticket inspection.Could you please clarify: Is it acceptable to manually add journeys to the Rail Planner app if they don’t appear in the search results — as long as the travel matches the reservation and is covered by the pass? Will manually adding these trips ensure I’m compliant with the pass usage rules and protected from any penalties while traveling? I have a question about making seat reservations using the Eurail Pass. I’ll be traveling around Christmas and plan to take the train from Cologne to Strasbourg on December 24. As I understand, seat reservations can usually be made through the Rail Planner app or the Eurail website. However, the app hasn’t been updated yet — it currently only allows bookings up to December 13. I noticed that last year, the app was updated around mid to late November, so I’m wondering if I should just wait for it to update this time. Will the trains be likely to sell out if I wait? I also checked on the DB (Deutsche Bahn) website. The train from Cologne Hbf to Mannheim Hbf (ICE 515) allows seat reservations as normal, but the connection from Mannheim Hbf to Strasbourg (ICE 9590) cannot be reserved — it says “subject to compulsory reservation.” Since this will be on Christmas Eve, I’m worried there might be a lot of people traveling. Should I wait for the Rail Planner app to update, or should I look for

Hi everyone! I bought a flexi trip Eurail pass for myself and family back in September hoping to get organised and book rail journeys. Our first one will be Munich-Salzburg but there are no journeys available when I search trips for the 14th December? I am reading everywhere they should show up 3-6 months prior but 2 months before now and the app isnt showing them- is there a reason for this? Is there another app i can use the Eurail tickets on as Im starting to feel it was a waste of money and its used up a heap of my time already trying to figure out how to use the passes :/ 

Anyone experience a delay compensation request?I just discovered that the delay compensation starts @ 1 hour and i already have 3 different days of more than an hour delay. It is not clear what proof you need and what proof I can get a few days after the fact ( Does services like zugfinder count?). Does Interrail self find the delays?

Hello,I’ll be travelling around Sweden this Easter. This will include a ride from Sundsvall to Gävle, where I’m looking to travel with X-Tåget.In Rail Planner, it says that the 08:41 service with X-Tåget from Sundsvall to Gävle on 8 April is “not in pass network”. I decided to check this directly with the provider so I emailed X-Trafik, who runs this service, and their Customer Service department confirmed by email that they do in fact accept Interrail on X-Tåget.I’m a bit puzzled why the app says “not in pass network” but I’m letting you know now in case you want to update this for a future app upgrade.Question: Am I right to assume that if I want to travel on the X-Tåget with my interrail pass, I’ll simply have to add this journey as a manual entry?Thanks in advance for your help.
