I’m not travelling yet and just getting the hang of how my pass works.  I’ve activated my pass and I put on  some of my tickets.  I saw a message come up which said something about not being able to use apple wallet whilst using interrail ticket.  Foolishly I did not write it down.The message has now gone and I deactivated and reactivated my ticket to try and see it again, but it has not re-appeared. Does this make sense to anyone?  Is there anything I need to be aware of regarding the use of my apple wallet and the interrail pass?Peter

Hi all,  I have a global pass to explore Europe this summer and I am struggling to nail down my route, hoping you can help! I am currently looking to travel from the UK into Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Portugal (through Pontevedra & Vigo) but I then want to get back to the South of France, onward to Italy. Currently this feels quite clunky as I’d be going ‘back on myself’ ie. from Portugal via train, I would need to back through Pontevedra & Vigo to get to Madrid, Barcelona and then to Marseille / Nice. If I can, I’d like to avoid flights due to needing to check luggage in which drives the price through the roof! Hoping someone with a bit more geography sense (or just...sense) can point me in the right direction ;) Thanks in advance!

Hi there,I am about to plan an Interrail-Trip with my family through the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain next summer. I have a couple of questions so I will open some topics here looking for help.We are four people, two adults, one teenager and one child. We do have online global passes. Unfortunately, you can only add each ticket to one device. Once activated we can’t change it, so we must think through it before continuing planning. So I am wondering if we should add all four passes to one device or split it up that each person (apart from your youngest) has his or her ticket on their own mobile phone.Are there other families who travelled by interrail? I thought that there were 2 international ferry crossings included in the 6 day pass. One in and one out and that they were free. But when I try to book there is no option to pick the 6 Day Greek Ferry pass just the Interrail global pass. Can anyone let me know whether that are free or just discounted and how to book if there is no option. Many thanks

Hi, I hope someone can help. I am buying an Interrail Greek Ferry Pass along with my Interrail Global Pass and in looking at how to book an international ferry to Greece I tried to book as a senior as I am 60 and that is the pass I have. On the island hopping it is fine as the checkbox is 11-99 but when I book the international leg of the journey it will not let me use my pass unless I check the 26-59 age group. I think you get a reduction as a senior over 60 anyway so this might be the reason. But I want to know if it is OK to check the 26-59 years box so I can use my pass even though I am 60. I don’t want to buy it and then find out I cannot use it on the international leg. Hope this makes sense and Thanks. 

Hello wonderful people!I snagged a pass ticket last year but haven't used it yet. I heard I gotta activate it before June 1st. Sound about right?My main query is: Can I use it in the fall? Hi everyone! I have tickets on the NJ469 next week (16/05) from Paris Est to Salzburg. Short version: one customer representative told me the train is not leaving from Paris, but Strasbourg because of construction work; another told me that the train was not modified and would still be leaving from Paris. Does anyone have more information about this train? This is the long version:Initially, the train was supposed to leave at 19:12 from Paris Est. However, on 25/04 we received a (somewhat cryptic) email from ÖBB (“Information zu Ihrer Verbindung”) telling us that “Der Fahrplan Ihrer Verbindung von Paris Est (16.05.2024 19:12) nach Salzburg Hbf hat sich geändert” (i.e. there have been modifications to our train).Looking at the online timetables, it appears that NJ469 is no longer leaving from Paris, but from Strasbourg because of construction work. I have a problem with seat reservations. I have the discoverEU app and the Rail Planner app. Now I want to make a seat reservation for the trip on the Rail Planner app, but only the trip from the DiscoverEU app is displayed. If I click on "Is a trip not displayed? Create trip", a new trip is created on the DiscoverEU app.But I need a seat reservation for my trip on the Rail Planner app.

Hello My name is Bob and I need to find out about using my eurail 1st class pass on boat trips from Lucerne to Vitznau.       I want to avail of the 50% discount and need to know if I can travel 1st class on the boat using my eurail pass in this way.   I will NOT be activating the pass on the day of travel so as NOT TO use this day as a travel day.Thank you,  Bob

Hello, I am trying to book a private two bed-compartment on the Istria Express train on 29.06.2024 at 21:00 from Budapest to Ljubljana on https://jegy.mav.hu/, using my Interrail Global Pass. When I tried to book, the price was for the whole ticket which I thought was strange considering I entered that I had a rail pass. I contacted MÁV-START and they said: "Unfortunately, the supplementary placement reservation with EuRail/InterRail Pass currently does not work for that international route, so you are not able to buy it from the MÁV-START's online purchase system. You can only buy it in person at any international ticket office (where you have to show your EuRail /InterRail pass)." Is in-person at Budapest station the only way that I can book this train? Hello. We have been using the EURAIL pass for the past month and have enjoyed the experience immensely. I have used this forum many times and have found the advice and feedback to be outstanding. The EURAIL community is exceptional. I now seek some advice regarding a day tour in Beaune. We will travel from Annecy to Paris via Beaune. We would like to experience a Chateau & tasting tour and hope that the community can offer some advice on a worthwhile experience. Thank you.

Hello,I am new to Eurail, first time travelling to Europe with my family. We got a pass and we have obtained seat reservations for all the trains that require them on our upcoming trips. However, there is one trip for which we are looking into getting the optional seat reservations: the Centovalli train between Locarno and Domodossola. We are planning on taking a Vigezzo Vision train on that route, which we understand has a surchage that can be paid on board. This train also does not allow you to travel unless you find a seat, which means it may be useful to get a reservation on busy seasons. Since we will be travelling on July 12, we were trying to get a reservation online, which I understand would also allow us to pay the surchage online as well. Hi all, I will do an Interrail trip in the middle of june and i have difficulties to finish my itinerary... I will take a 7 days Global pass. I want to do Germany, Czech republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia but i can't decide myself for arrange the order of destinations...  For the return trip to France I do not know in which city I stop a few days then return to Montpellier without having a too long trip... What are your suggestions? Did someone know what are the cheapest cities in central Europe?  The prices of hostels seem quite high, which also pushes me to review my itinerary I know that my question is a bit broad but i'm a bit lost 😅Thanks in advance 😊

I need to return my paper pass as soon as possible.The return label that came with the paper pass has the address:Eurail. B.V., Int. Business Return Service, I.B.R.S./C.C.R.I. No.7, 3500 ZA Utrecht (NL).Can I know if this is the correct address to send the paper pass to?Also, I would like to know if the return label guarantees delivery, as I am sending the pass from the United States. If the return label cannot guarantee delivery, can I use DHL or FedEx to send it to the above address?This is the return label that I have received:I have already sent this question to customer service a couple of days ago, but I have yet to receive a response. Hello,I would like to book a train in Germany (DB ICE) through the DB website and not through the Interrail website. If I understand correctly, I just need to check "Book seat only," search for the desired route, and reserve my seat. Then, in case of inspection, I show my Interrail pass and my seat reservation. Can you confirm this ? Thx, have a nice day !

So I’m planning a 3 day trip, 3 persons, in July through Inverness, Aberdeen, Edimburgh, Fort William and Glasgow.The Interrail app says the reservation is optional, and I read somewhere that U.K. trains rarely get full.So I’m well in going without seat reservations?

Not strictly an Interrail question, but since the DB community does not exist anymore, I’ll try it here. Some time ago, I booked the following connection for tomorrow evening (June 4th) on international-bahn.de:Frankfurt Hbf 19:49 (ICE 693)Augsburg Hbf 22:40Augsburg Hbf 23:02 (NJ 237)Venezia Santa Lucia  08:34Now it turns out that ICE 693 from Frankfurt to Augsburg is canceled already. I could probably take a different train to Stuttgart instead and board the Nightjet there. However, for today (June 3rd), it is indicated that the Nightjet will only start in Salzburg. For tomorrow, there is no information yet, but of course, I wonder if it could still be the case then.So I have 2 questions:- Is there any reliable information on the status of NJ 237 tomorrow?- If it turns out that the NJ is canceled (at least in Germany - I probably can't get to Salzburg), do I have the right to take another connection to Venice with my ticket the following day (June 5th)? The Interrail website and app both say it exists but I cannot book tickets through them. Other websites say otherwise. Does it exist? Has anyone got it? Do I need to book in advance? If so where from?Thanks!

The planner on the app doesn’t have any Greek trains as far as I can see - where’s the best place to see the timetable, and are reservations needed for any Greek trains?  also, are there replacement buses over the Greek-North Macedonia border?

Hello, i am travelling through Spain, France and Italy in August and i bought a 7 days pass. In Total we are driving 8 times with a train, so i need to book one Trip normally without the Pass in cash or by card. So how do i book this one trip and can i just do it in between my pass? For example the 3rd trip by train from Malaga to Granada is the one i book without my Pass because it is the cheapest. How do i handle this correctly? Should i just create my Interrail Trip on the Planner app withouth Malaga?

Hi, is there any way to add the interrail discount on the nightjet site when using an iPhone or an iPad? The discount list just disappears when you click it. I have tried with several browsers. I know it works on a PC but I won’t have a pc when travelling.  

Hi, we paid for seat reservations a few weeks ago via the website rather than the app. Today we activated our passes via the app, but we cannot see our seat reservations on the app, only on the website. 

In July I am taking a day trip from London to Stratford-Upon-Avon. Someone in this community told me to get a train out of Marylebone station instead of Euston. That helped. Now I am looking at times. The time I wanted to go was 8:07am arriving at 10:13 with a stop in either Dorridge or Warwick (I found same train with these two different train changes. Maybe they haven't figured out which one yet). However, there is only a 10 minute train transfer time. I don't know the size of these train stations. Is that cutting it too close? I won't have luggage since its just a day trip. any suggestions?

I need to travel from Geneva to Venice with my family of 5 on July 23rd. I cannot figure out a way to use our Eurail Global Passes for this. When I try to book through Eurail, it says that reservations are required (I think for bus tickets, maybe?) but doesn’t seem to give me an option to reserve anything. Suggestions?
