Planning to buy 1st or 2nd class Eurail pass for family trip (including 1 child who has special needs). Arriving July 20, 14:00 at Milan.  We want to go to Lucerne (or Zurich) for 2 days, and then to Munich on July 22. Trying to figure out a scenic, but not overly time-consuming route to avoid child’s or parent’s meltdown. I know it could be extremely hot, and most Swiss hotels there don’t have a/c, so the happier we arrive in Lucerne, the better (hopefully). Does this seem like the best route:MXP to Milan Central to Lugano (stay overnight in Lugano or go directly to Lucerne?)Lugano to Lucerne (regional train instead of Gotthard Panoramic, but find a train on the Old Gotthard track). Having a hard time on the Swiss rail site because it keeps giving errors and unsure how to book a good boat to get to Lucerne and still have time to go to one of the mountain tops like Pilatus or Rigi.

Very new to this! I’m trying to take my family of 5 from Toulouse to Paris on 22 July. We all have Eurail Passes. When I try to reserve a TGV train, at the very end of the process it fails, without explanation. Are reservations all booked up? So what is the best way to get from Toulouse to Paris by train on 22 July, 2023?

I have a 10 day Global Pass and I will be in Switzerland in September There are some trains that are not covered by the Eurail Pass. They do offer discounts on some trips however. My question is If you use your pass to get a discount does that count as a day of your travel days ?  ThanksDenny

So I'm using the app on an amazing trip so far and everything on the app works brilliantly except one thing which makes taking screenshots for Instagram or such not work well. It is creating a line on it's own from the last destination I have entered so far back to my start destination. Does anyone know how to stop this?

Hi, I will be travelling with my child (16) across Europe and using some nightjet trains. Two questions, as they are 16 and we'd rather not share accom if possible, is the only option to book entire compartments? Also, if we decide to go for 1st class interrail tickets; does anyone know if the standard supplement cost (~€140) get reduced as we are paying a 1st class ticket, or are all supplements the same price? Also final thought, is the supplement per person, I'm guessing so, therefore sleeper would be almost €300 for the two of us! And I get support after one week.Then we had an sickness, I should send an notification of illness, then the support wanted to extend my pass. But nothing happend.The pass for three month cost 1200 € first class, I bought the most expensive pass, but there is no good support.You have cost on top, for seat reservation, actually these reservations are the tickets not your pass. So interrail is an discount for tickets and not a ticket. That they said in Spain and in France. The seat reservation are close to the actual price of a normal ticket in Portugal. The application doesn’t work well. The train strikes. It takes ages to get a solution from you. I thought your company is there for 50 years. My experience with interrail is more like with an start up. I don’t get it, everytime when I ask for something, the system does not allow this, it’s your company I thought. It’s your system so please help me. I can’t figure our how to book the Bernina Express using the App or the website. We are going from Zurich to Milan and we want to use the Bernina Express as part of that travel. When I put this in using the App I get all the various trains that go from Zurich to Milan. I then tried looking based on each segment i.e.,, Zurich to Chur; Chur to Tirano; and Tirano to Milan. However when I look at Chur to Tirano (the Bernina Express route) I get various train options and I don’t know which one is the Bernina Express. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, we would to go to Paris this summer by train and go around the north of France. We saw that from Lille to Strasburg we need two trains to arrive at the destination. Are we wondering with a global pass with 5 days within one month when we’ll move from Lille to Strasburg and we need to change trains we don’t have a problem if a change trains on the same day, right?With the global pass,  can we move to a different town not only in one, is right?We need to consider the day and not change trains.For you, is simple to check a reservation on the train to France in August? Thanks

Hi there,I am travelling from Nice to Milan. Eurail requires that I book a seat reservation for the second part of the journey (Ventimiglia to Milan) but not for the first part of the journey (Nice to Ventimiglia). Does that mean that I will have to book my own ticket for that or can we just hop on the train without a ticket?(I have attached photos for reference)

Lors du trajet, on doit juste montrer notre pass au contrôleur.Pour aller à Berlin, il faut passer par Pari, il faut payer des frais de réservation TGV de 12 € (ou 10€ en gare).2. Si je passe par la gare, il faut que j'aille au guichet pour demander une réservation liée à mon pass. Ils me passent un billet ou c'est lié au pass directement ? I will go to Copenhagen from Hamburg at 25th July, but there is no direct train. I have heard that there are five direct train in summer season, but only 23rd July to 30th July don't have any direct train, it seems that we need to change trains for twice and it will takes 6.5h… What's happen?

So im a Spanish resident that decided to visit Family in southern Italy and just wanted to ask a "simple" question but I havent gotten an answer yet.   I heard that you only have 1 trip to leave and 1 enter your country of residence. And my question is that if the Rodalies Line 11 (no reservation needed) from Barcelona to Portbou counts as a outbound travel. Thanks in advance

Me and my friend are currently on a train from Amsterdam to Berlin, and we have activated our travel day as today (30/6/23), my ticket scans fine but when the ticket conductor scans my friend’s ticket, it says it’s invalid as her travel day is tomorrow (1/7/23), even though on the app, the travel day is shown as 30/6/23 (today), not 1/7/23 (tomorrow). We have tried changing her journey, deactivating and reactivating the travel day, and it keeps scanning as the wrong day. Please send advice urgently. 

Hello!we are thinking of traveling to Lake Como from Milan tomorrow. Does anyone have any advice fon where would be the best station to go to using our Eurail pass? Or if they have a suggestion of a better place? We have spent a couple of days in Milan and have done a day trip to Venice. We want to go somewhere within an hour from Milan. Also, I have tried booking through the Eurail Planner app but it wants to charge me to reserve seats on this route. The seat reservation charge is more than I would pay if I just bought tickets! Is there another site I can use to book?Thank you!Meghan

Hellowe are traveling from Milano Centrale to Aix En Provence TGV this coming Sunday 2 July. What is the best way for me to book tickets with my global first class pass? Do I need seat reservations?thanks!meghan

Hi! Me and my friend were supposed to travel to Amsterdam via Paris from Avignon. We tried several times to book through the app and website but did not succeed. We then got the tip that you can book reservations at the train station- which we did for a ton of destinations. However this time the train was full between Paris and Amsterdam and we then decided to only go to Paris. When we got the receipt we had been charged the full price of the tickets (72€), which is almost a third of the price for the whole pass. No one at the train station could help us or even understood what interrail was even though we showed our passes to the lady in the reception. Is there any possibility to get a refund somehow? 

I’ve bought two passes in our country’s third party website.I would like to know that whether should I redeem the passes in one cellphone or we should do it separately?Because I would like to order our seats together. and there’s one more question, I can’t quite find the log in place in my rail planner app, is it that I don’t need to log in?

If my pass has been activated, can I still add/remove some routing with my pass ? for example, I activated my pass on 1Dec22I forgot to add routing from Paris-London on 3Dec22can I still add this route to my pass ? 

Hello!my husband, son and myself need to travel this Tuesday July 27 from Basel to Milan. We have Global Eurail First Class passes. I am wondering if I must reserve seats for this leg or if we should just turn up at the station and hop on?! Any advice would be appreciated! 

We are planning to do a day trip from Milan to Venice on Wednesday 28/6 or Thursday 29/6. What is the best way to do this with our first class global pass?
