If I buy a 4 day travel pass AND I have activated it/used the first day, do I have to use the pass every time I travel during that period? (Would I have to use a travel day every time I travel on one of the trains during the activation period?) Or could I still buy a single use ticket for a particular day and save the remaining travel pass days for future use? This might happen if I want to take a quick regional train where a ticket would be inexpensive, so it might make sense to save the travel days for a longer more expensive trip. thanks
Hello! I’m new here and have a few questions on how this eurail works. 😅We’re flying into Lisbon and traveling to Lagos and then Porto and then over to Barcelona. We have to get the global eurail pass since we’re traveling between two countries, correct? How do we choose the ‘high speed train’ or ‘AVE’ in order to shorten our travel time? We essentially need to choose enough travel days for our pass in order to cover every day we take the train, correct? The days we use the train twice in one day will only count as 1 travel day. And the days we stay put and don’t use a train, we won’t need a travel day for? Thank you so much for you help!!!
New this booking tickets this way. Any help appreciated. My son is looking to travel for 3 weeks through France, Spain and Portugal. He would like the freedom to travel on days when he is ready to move on. Can anyone suggest the type of ticket he would need? Thanks in advance.
Hello, i accidently put the wrong gender on my son’s pass.I choose “Ms.” instead of “Mr.” so, it stated his gender is female.Would it be a problem for the trips?
If seat reservations are optional and we choose to not reserve a seat (we have a 1st class Global pass), how do we know where to sit ie. what seats have been reserved and what seats are vacant (not reserved). Just wondering about this and know that the Community can assist.
Hi there,I am senior British person, living in the UK and will be traveling with my niece from Brazil, who is 22. As I am the one making the purchasing (and paying) for both tickets, I would like to know the following:1 - Can I put both Apps & tickets on my phone, or does she have to buy it herself? I understand it’s not possible to transfer the tickets from one mobile to another.2 - We are planning to travel from Nottingham to Paris, my understanding is that I can start my trip from the UK, but what about her? If we activate her pass in the UK, would it count as “travel day”?3 - Do you have any tips for two people in our situation to make the most of our trip without much worries? Many thanks,😉
I’d like to have a clarification about the 4-day Greek Islands Pass.It says on the site that it lasts 4 days but it does not clarify if once you activate it you have 4 consecutive days where you can use it, or if you have 4 different days in one month usage. It’s 2 very different things, whereas in the second option you have more time and freedom on when to use those 4 days.
We plan a tour including Albania (probably by bus since there are no trains running) and wonder how to travel from the Albanian border to Croatia / Split. Any suggestions?
Good morning,:I wanted to receive directions for a trip I plan to take in the summer. We live near Pamplona, Navarra, Spain. We want to go to northern Italy with the intention of seeing Venice mainly and take the opportunity to visit Verona and some other place we haven't decided on yet. I am looking at trains from Pamplona to Milan, from Zaragoza to Milan, or from Barcelona to Milan...or any town near Pamplona with a train connection to Italy, preferably without transfers, but I understand that it might be impossible, but it is proving to be very complicated. I am traveling with a person who is 70 years old. We want something simple. I have come across your website. Could you tell me if there is any way to make this trip by train?
I am trying to book ferry tickets to Greece using my Interrail cards but hitting 2problems 1 The ferry from Bari to Igoumenitasa which used to be free no longer appears in the list of benefits. Has this been scrapped?2.I have tried to book Brindisi to Igoumenitsa on Grimaldi lines using a pass cover number generated by Eurail for my mobile pass but Grimaldi lines booking site doesn’t recognise it. Any help would be appreciated

We have a 1st Class Global Eurail Pass. Now looking at seat reservations for Amsterdam to London in mid June. We are seniors and the price for the seat reservations is close to $300 AUD. Is this normal? Or is this because we are travelling in peak season? Seems very expensive. We are still learning how to navigate the websites,

Last year we travelled from Chambery Challes Les Eaux to Turin which was straight forward and took about 2 hours 40 minutes. Now when I try to plan another journey for later this year I get this crazy journey of 8 hours via Geneva and Brig (or others via Annecy) but none as straightforward as previously.Any thoughts please? When I put in a June date (when I will want to go) it says no tickets but if I try an earlier date in April or today, I get the above. I am hoping that in the winter, the route is not avaialable but come the summer the direct route will be available? Does anyone know anything about this please? Thank you.
I want to reserve seats for a few trains, but in the Rail Planner App there stands N/A (I am using the App with German localization, so it might be different for you, but I will provide a screenshot. Screenshot of the Rail Planner App showing a trip with N/A as the value at the Reservation.
I am planning on travelling first class round Europe on a first class Eurail pass. In the first class area on most European rail service, can you see out the window on both sides of the train, or do I sit in a compartment where I can only see out one window on one side of the train?

We can purchase 3-month Global Passes, but I cannot find any detail on how many days we can travel on those passes, or any other restrictions. Nor am I able to find a link for the terms of the passes. Most places we visit we will stay more than one or two days (possibly a couple of weeks in some instances). Can anyone help with detail on these passes?
Vielen Dank!#Hello dear community,After the train hotline was unable to help me, I'm asking here.I would like to book seats for a trip with 13 people.
