I apologize for asking all sorts of questions here about travel. I’m curious how much to anticipate we will spend to travel to Scotland, for room/board, and food, and move around and about for 20 days. Any estimates will be appreciated.Thank you.

When I use my Eurail Pass to book Lugano-Lucerne how do I know which services are “Gotthard Express” ? Or do all the trains on this route have some scenic carriages and by simply paying reservation fee I automatically book one of those seats ? 

Hello,I was wondering if anyone has had any luck booking a seat reservation for the Stansted Express from London Liverpool Street station. It is listed below, but I cannot seem to find anywhere that I can book a reservation and nothing on the website about the Eurail Pass (says no railpasses allowed). The reservation website comes back with an error, but I have managed to save the trip in my Rail Planner App. This will be our first trip once we have activated our passes so I have no idea if it will actually turn into a valid ticket??? 

Hello, I have to travel from Budapest to Sibiu/Romanian with my family at 14. Juli ,and I have the global pass but I can’t make the reservation to seats online ? In the office here in Danmark they can’t do it .can someone help me?  

Greetings! So I have seen a lot of Europe already, but for my Big Trip I am looking forward to explore a part of the continent that I am less familiar with. My general plan for now is to travel through Central and Eastern Europe and especially the Western Balkans, starting from June 12 for about two weeks.My general idea for now is to travel from The Netherlands to Prague, Warsaw, Budapest or Vienna first; possibly by taking a night train. I've visited those places (except for Warsaw) before, but I wouldn't mind revisiting for a bit. I also would definitely like to visit Slovenia and I am kinda considering Slovakia too. In terms of Balkans I’m eyeing Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Albania. I'm skipping Croatia because I've already been before (it was amazing btw). Hi, I've been waiting for direct trains to be released for the 20th August from Luxembourg City to Paris but the timetable seems to stop in the next week or so. There are only indirect services available from then on, with many requiring a bus for the first leg. Up until next week it seems that TGV Inoui services operate direct several times per day but then no longer. Does anyone know what is happening please? Thanks  

We are planning to travel from Zurich to Vienna on Sunday August 4 on RJX 165 using our Eurail pass but have been unable to book seat reservations by any method (eg OBB says not available, DB says all booked). Have been monitoring this for months and have never been able to make the seat reservations for this particular train.Eurail says seat reservation for this trip is only recommended, but OBB says travel only guaranteed with reservation on peak travel days (which presumably this will be), and as noted above DB says all seats already fully booked. Based on OBB live it does not appear the train is actually fully booked, and based on everything I've been reading online that also seems unlikely... but we're getting a bit nervous.Is it possible that we will still be able to make a reservation closer to the date of travel? If not, is there any chance we can get on that train without a reservation - or are we just out of luck?Also, looking at alternate methods to get there such as via Mun

Hi there.  I live in poole so wanted to take the ferry to cherbourg on the 12th then next morning go to Agen which goes via paris.  Problem is it says seat reservation N/A to paris.  Is there a way to do this?do i buy my pass first or make sure i have the seat before i buy a new pass?  Or do i have to simply buy a normal ticket to paris?

Hello, I am trying to do a trip starting fron Athens crossing some countries to Poland.But it is being difficult to me to find trains information in Greece in the rail planner app.Even if I know there are trains available, how can I know if they are included in the Interrail pass?For example i want to do, Athens-Kalambaka. I know there is a connection but don't know if it is included in the pass. Because the connection has a change to a bus in middle of the way. So that bus will be included?

Using global pass (and buying seat reservations)however it’s not allowing me to take train from Strasbougg to Basel sbb at 10:15am? Also do I need to make seat reservation on this leg?

Can anyone tell me whether Eurostar trains from London to Paris/Lille are included free with a One-Country Eurail Pass for France? Or do I need to pay separately for this before using my Eurail Pass?

My wife and I will be travelling on March 31st, Easter Sunday, from Paris to Florence. We are hoping to get to Florence in the early to mid evening. Currently the routing is showing a need to change stations in Milan (from Centrale to Rogoredo) even though there are a number of trains that leave for Florence from Centrale. Is this a mistake or is such a change in station an actual requirement? Thank you in advance for any clarification.

Hello everyone,I'm planning to travel from Montpellier to Barcelona on August 2nd, but the website says that seat reservations are not available. Can I reserve at the Montpellier station for INT AVE train? (But I'm worried that there won't be any seats left if I do it on the day.) + If I ask a friend in Montpellier to use my Eurail pass to make the seat reservation in advance, is it okay to reserve a seat this way?

Folks I have a dilemma..... So we have interrail passes, not activated yet.... Each time I try to link to my acc it tells me the surname or pass number are invalid, when are actually not.... My daughter pass was bought same time and bought together, hers works fine for reservation.... It has now come to point that she has to try do my reservation via her account on her phone....and it works, but it won't let me use it myself.... Has anyone else had this issue and would you know how we can solve it, as we leave mid July, if info helps mine is adult 3 Mt, hers is youth 17 and 2 Mt one... PS... I can do her reservations via my acc too, just not my own... TIA

Wer hat Erfahrung ?mein global pass gilt ja im Ausland (ein- und ausreise sind wie gesagt schon verbraucht ) Das wäre also ab Belgien  oder könnte ich ab Aachen fahren ? a friend just booked a train route using Trainline app, from Minden, Germany to Basel, Switzerland with 1 transfer in Dortmund on July 20. I went on Eurail to see if I could add this trip to my multi-day Eurail pass so we could be on the same trains when traveling. However, the trains my friend booked don’t show up in Eurail app or eurail.com at all. How can I see if I need a reservation for these trains or ensure that I get on the same trains as my friend. Will my eurail multi day pass not work for these trains? I am confused as to why they are not on the app. I could go on trainline and buy the tickets but would prefer to use eurail multi day pass for this trip instead. help please!

Hello, I plan to travel from Copenhagen to Oslo via Goteborg on July 18th. I have a first class interrail ticket 5 days in one month. I wanted to make a reservation since the forecast on the VY website is from “usually quite full” to “usually standing”. But it is not possible (chat with entur). I have to buy an ordinary ticket to be able to make a seat reservation 😕. Unfortunatly I am not very flexible and being 64 I rather don’t want to stand for almost 4 hours. Does anybody know how the chances are to get a seat? Thanks for any helpful advice!

Hello I have a rather simple question for the comunity please.   This concerns using my eurail pass on swiss trains. I haven’t activated nor used my global eurail pass yet, and wish to know when I book a particular train time if I am committed to travel on that actual train, or, if I can travel on any train that same day?   I see from the sbb app that if I pay for a journey with a credit card, the ticket is valid on any train on the same route until 0500 the following day. What I need to know if this Is rule also applys when using my global eurail pass? Thank you,   bodetteplant 

Hola, soy de México y quiero ir de Ourense a Pontevedra en Septiembre, es la primera vez que voy, sólo que no tengo flexibilidad porque ya tengo reserva de hospedaje y en el horario que quisiera me sale la siguiente leyenda:“Precios no disponiblesNo se encontraron resultados de precios. Es posible que las reservas de los titulares de pases estén agotadas para esta conexión, pero hay otras formas de verificar los asientos disponibles; más información debajo de nuestro horario”.  Saben si hay alguna otra opción o si más cercana la fecha pueda haber más horarios con Eurail, y si no, agradecería que me apoyaran para contemplar algún otro transporte regional y si puedo reservar el mismo día que tengo pensado salir de Ourense a Pontevedra sin ningún problema.Agradezco sus aportes!!

I an travelling through Germany, Austria, France and Belgium during December. I have a first class global pass. Wondering if you would recommend purchasing seat reservations, even when not compulsory, at this time ? 

I am looking to travel from London  - Armsterdam -  Paris - Geneva- Interlaken - Venice.what is the best in term of budget and time? Eurail looks expensive due to additioanl reservarion charges. Time wise, flights could be faster but again, airport, check -ins etc could make it same.Has anyone done the maths? i am finding it very confusing. Any experienced travellers input would be much appreciated.TIA

I have 7 days Global Pass. How can I reserve LNER train seat to Edinburgh? I am looking to travel on 1st OctoberLNER website is showing the seats when I try to purchase those, but just for seat reservations there are no seat available on that day. Is there another way to reserve the seats?

Going from agen to venice/austria.  Will need good stopping point.  Maybe soend one day there.  All ideas and recommendations welcome.also, cherbourg to agen.  Is it viable to avoid paris?
