My husband and I are seniors and will begin our train trip for 30 days in August stopping for a few days in each location from Barcelona to Narbonne, to Avignon, to Toulouse to Biarritz, to Donostia San Sebastian, to Bilbao, to Asturias, drive to Porto Portugal and fly home to Malaga, Spain.Too many stops?

We will be traveling from the US. Do we have to provide proof of COVID testing/vaccines?Thank you. 

Hiya! Looking for some thoughts/suggestions on my whirlwind itinerary I’m putting together. I’m coming from Canada, I’m volunteering at the Olympic and Paralympics in Paris. I have a little stretch off between that my husband is going to come so we can go on an adventure. I have a 5 day eurail pass. We’re looking to travel Aug 12-17/18Aug 12 - Start in Paris, Leave early - Stop in Brussels for the day and head to Amsterdam in the evening.Aug 12-14 in Amsterdam. Head to Berlin on the 14th morning. Aug 14-16 in Berlin. Head to Munich on the 16th in the morning.Aug 17 - Munich to Bern, then Bern to Paris in the evening. I’m super inexperienced with planning any train trips as Canada is severely lacking, and I’ve never been to Europe. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated! We aren’t held to any of these locations as I haven’t booked any hostels or train reservations. Thanks!!Krista

We are looking to reserve seats on trains for the following journeys.  Leipzig to Vienna on the 19th of December, Vienna to Chur on the 26th of December and Chur to Tirano on the 27th of December (Bernina Express).  Is there a specific date and time when these seat reservations will become available to reserve?  Thanks.

hello! what could be the best possible route so the travel time is much shorter? was hoping for longer train rides for lesser stops and transfers.

I have seen on the SBB website that there is a direct train from Lugano to Venice Santa Lucia which leaves Lugano at 10:30, arriving Venice at 14:42.  It is a train from Zurich.  However the train does not appear on the Interrail app.       Can anyone explain why?Peter 

I am from the Netherlands and am planning to travel to Lisbon - Porto - Barcelona - Lyon - Utrecht. However, the interrail website doesn't make it easy to understand wheter (or not) I can book the seat reservations online.The Lisbon →  Porto train seems to be booked at the station, since these trains go regularly this should not be a problem.We were also planning on traveling from Porto to Barcelona, on the 9th of July, going:Porto Campanha → Vigo Guixar 8:13 → 11:35Vigo Urzaiz → Madrid Chamartin 13:20 → 17:36Madrid Puerto de Atocha → Barcelona-Sants 19:00 → 21:30. In Vigo we could walk to the other station, in Madrid we should take the metro.However, at the moment i cannot book these seat reservations online at interrail. Is that correct, as the website states it should be possible for the AVE, Euromed & Alvia trains? If not, and i should book seat reservations at the counter, how hard is that in the summer? I have some cities I want to visit, but I don't want to plan everything in advance, as I want to be flexible if I like a city or when I meet some nice people. Some of the trains I want to take have a required reservation:Munchen to Milan Milan to Florence/Firenze Florence/Firenze to Ancona Ancona to BolognaI'm curious if it's fine if I book those trains the day before I will head to that city or that it is really needed to book them right now otherwise they will sell out way before the travel day?Thanks in advance! :)

What is the difference between Global pass and Europass? Can they be used in all countries?

I wondered if anyone could kindly help me? I’m a dual Irish-British citizen born in London, grown up in London and living in London. I understand that I need to buy an Interrail pass, rather than a Eurail one - that’s pretty clear to me from this link: https://www.interrail.eu/en/support/interested-in-interrailing/do-i-need-an-interrail-or-eurail-pass It also says here ‘If you're a legal resident of Europe but not a citizen, we ask for your country of residence when you place an order.’ This also makes sense. However this implies that if you are a citizen of Europe, they won’t ask for your country of residence? But then it says ‘If you have more than one passport or official residency (dual citizenship), the Pass you use must be based on where you actually live: If you have 2 European passports, use the passport or national identity card (I

I tried to book the sleeper train on Polrail from Budapest to Krakow but they are only giving me a mail or pick up in Poland option for the tickets.  I cannot do either.  I am looking to book a ticket in 2.5 weeks.  I am looking to book one double couchette and one triple for myself and my kids. I tried trainline and that didnt offer me the option of plugging in my Eurail pass for priceresuction; I tried OBB and that didn’t offer me the option of booking a couchette; and I tried MAV and that too didn’t offer me the option of booking a couchette.  HELP!

Hii have booked a train from vienna airport to zell am see at August 13,2024 that departs 10:02 am now i have been notified that there is a timetable change that might affect your schedule and that my ticket remain valid i have no idea what should i do now, when i check other options they seem to have at least 4 connections and there is no option to replace my current tickets with new one any advice

If you are traveling to Scotland and want to travel to Ireland and London too during the trip, would you rent a car or do Eurotrail only? I have this desire to sit oceanside and listen to the seagulls and watch the fishing ports. 

Hi!My friend and I are travelling through Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Hungary, Croatia and Germany with a Global Pass from 19th July until the 9th of August. We can’t seem to figure out how we are supposed to book our trains. We’re afraid that all the trains are already full. Is it necessary to book our train in advance or can we just wing it and make a reservation on the spot?  Thanks in advance!!

Hello :) I have the problem on July, 20.2024 to July, 21.2024 that the NJ from Munich to La Spezia is not in the Rail Planner App. But the ÖBB Night jet Website says that the train is driving normally without any problems and the interrail Pass is included, just paying 9.90€ for the ride. What do I have to do? I only know and the Nightjet Website says only that the Nightjet to Rome is not driving until September. Thank you :)

I am dreaming that we got a global pass and were able to see Portugal, Lisbon, Rome, Naples, Scotland, Ireland, and London within 20 days. Is the dream real?

Hi. We are seniors travelling with a 1st class Global Pass. Our preferred train is the 12:32pm departure on 29 June. The EURAIL site says seat reservations are recommended but Rail Europe says not required. Do we risk it and not book a seat? Thank you. 

Hi There, I was wondering if anyone else has had issues purchasing Deutschland ticket  (49 euro month pass) from db? I fill out all the details, iban etc and get to the verification (verimi) and it just gets stuck in a loop. Any idea/suggestions? Thanks!
