Hi. What’s the best way to take the Bernia Express southbound? My route is Zurich/Bern to Milan. I guess I have to make stops at Chur and Tirano for this. I can leave Zurich anytime after 00:00 on May 1st and plan to be at Milan by 10-11AM. Any insights and tips on train times would be helpful. 

Hi!I’m getting an error every time I reserve any ticket from Freiburg to Brussels on May 7th, tickets appear available in different options, I reserve my seats for both legs and when doing the payment it says it’s been a problem with the ticket and asks me to find another one. Is there anything I’m doing wrong? I had no problem with my other tickets. Thanks!

Hello, I reside in the Dominican Republic. I have a Eurail pass, for my wife and I. We want to travel during the month of July 2024 from Madrid to Barcelona, ​​and from Barcelona to Paris. I must purchase both routes with Renfe. They tell me on the phone line that I must purchase them in person at the Station because I have the Eurail pass. Could you tell me if this information is correct? And, if so, how much would be the discount that Renfe would give me?

Hello everyone, can you travel on night trains with a ticket? I can't buy a ticket anywhere, it says unavailable 

I want to buy Eurail tickets, but when I tried (practice run) to book seats for the Munich to Budapest train on August 26, it read “all booked up.” I tried every train on that date and with the same result - all booked up. I’ve read on travel forums that this is most likely not the case (that it is in fact not all booked up).  I can’t proceed with buying Eurail passes as long as this is leg of the trip is not available to us. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

Is anyone aware of trains running from Ploče to Mostar?On zfbh.ba, I can see services starting in Bosnia, at Čapljina. But nothing extending to Ploče or Metkovic. Just a bus.I’ve seen reference that there might be weekend services running, but I can’t find any proof.

Hi, I want to reserve a ticket from LYON PART DIEU (France) to BRUXELLES-MIDI (Belgium) with SNCF Voyages for May 5th. It’s giving me the error “Prices unavailable”. You recommend usin RAilEurope websiote but my train doesn’t appear there, plus they seem to ask me for the money anyway. I have also checked the official SNCG page but they don’t allow me to reserve for Interrail, just buy tickets. How am I supposed to reserve?

Hi, I am planning our trip to Europe and need some guidance with booking times. I’ve purchased two Eurail passes and worked out, as best I can, the trips I need to make. Where there are many trains each day, I have chosen the one that is most likely to be suitable. I have purchased a Eurail pass for me and a friend. We’re heading to Amsterdam on April 27 and visiting seven countries going by train. I’ve taken many trains in Europe including this year but I’ve always bought regular tickets. This is my first pass and I’m confused even after reading the entire website. 1.) I have created seven “trips” in Rail Planner. I’ve successfully made a few reservations but some of the trips that say reservations recommended I’ve tried numerous times to make and I get an error message. How do I know if these trains are available? And for trips with several legs I get messages that say some of the parts of the journey can’t be made. 2.) Second question: for trains where reservations aren’t necessary how does one know what car to get on and what seats may already be reserved by others before we sit down? 3.) Finally some of the legs have very short transfers like 7-9 minutes! Is it possible to make these connections? We’re in our sixties and not marathon runners

Hi there, I am travelling with my 15-year-old daughter on June 8th from Milan. I am trying to decide between staying in Salerno or Sorrento, and to save time will get the fast train from Milan to Salerno or Naples (transferring to local Sorrento train).  We will then base ourselves in one place to explore for 3 days. I know this is not near enough time, so would appreciate thoughts on the benefit of location and ease of getting around via public transport to places of interest - particularly Pompeii (we won’t do Vesuvius). We have a Eurail pass that we will use for the fast trains, but believe it won’t work for local trains. As a Mum and daughter travelling alone, I am keen to ensure the safest options, where we can maximise our time, without running around too much and not enjoying just being in this beautiful part of the world. Any recommendations for favourite, reasonably priced accommodation in Salerno (walkable to train) or Sorrento would be appreciated. I have found a wonderful A

I plan to travel from Baden Baden to Milan with and overnight stop in Brig. The reservation system has a message “No seats available for reservation” from the Brig to Milan section. Does this mean there are no seats available to reserve, or that a reservation cannot be made for that train?

I am planning on using 2 travel days in Switzerland and France, and then flying to Greece for the Greek Islands. Do I need to buy a Global Pass in order to also buy the Greek Islands Pass? If so, I assume the travel days do not double-count, is that correct?

Hi, I’m planning my trip to the UK right now and I’m a bit confused about the public transport. I found a list which lists all the different train companies I can use with Interrail but can I use these only on a travel day? (this is the list btw: Railway Companies | Interrail.eu) So for example if I’m in London for two nights, I’ll have one day (in the middle) which isn’t a travel day. Can I still use the public transport on this day or will I have to buy a ticket additional to the Interrail pass? (I have the global pass)It would be lovely if someone could help me with this :) Lots of greetings

Can i use the  Germany Rail pass for the train in Austria ( from Salzburg to Innsburg)?

I'm about to use my pass for the first time in 5 days. I've just read that you pick the train times you want and it instantly gives you qr code tickets to get on the trains. But I've seen that not all journeys on the app are accurate. So if you use a travel day and pay for a seat reservation on the app (I'm not 100% sure how that works yet) and you could turn up and there's no train. I haven't clicked on anything yet so I hope someone could help me figure this out.

Hi!  I am going to travel from Paris-Bruges-Amsterdam-Prague. I already made the mandatory reservations; one in Eurail website and other one in European Sleeper. Is there a way to add those reservations to my mobile pass? How will the tickets be validated? With the Mobile Pass or with the Reservation QR?Also should I validate the tickets before I jump on the trains to avoid fines?Also I see that the train from Bruges to Amsterdam requires a Supplement, but it says is Included for International Travel, so in theory I dont need to worry about it?

Hello all, Myself and my partner are looking to travel between the following: Rome - Isle of Giglio - Pisa - Lake Como - Zurich (and then whilst in Zurich: a day trip out to Lichtenstein and a day trip out to Bern). As you can imagine, these train prices will all quickly add up, as they are mostly hours long in duration. With this in mind, I thought an EU Rail pass might be a better option, however we are struggling to find where we can check/search journeys between cities that would be included within the pass. Does anyone have any insights either a) on whether these journeys would be allowed/included? b) where to check? Thanks in advance x

I'm going on to the UK/EU from June 10th to July 10th and got the Eurail global pass 2nd class as I'm visiting nine locations (there are two pairs of locations in the same country). I think I've figured out everything that I need to know to make seat reservations but there's still a bit of confusion. I know Eurail is not truly up to date with their timetables, so I'm trying to figure out how to make a seat reservation when Eurail's timetable doesn't match the official train operator's website. For example, I'm going from Glasgow to London on June 15th, but the timetable for that date won't be available until April 24th, yet, Eurail is showing times for that date. What should I do? Wait until the official tran operator releases their timetable or just book it through Eurail?Many people say don't book through Eurail to get seat reservations and go directly through the train operator. Should I actually follow this practice? Is this recommended just because of the additional fee

I want to travel from Ravenna to Venice on Saturday June 15th.  We travel to Ravenna from Florence on the previous Saturday to take a cruise, and we are staying for two days following the cruise in Venice.  I was able to finalize all other train travel throughout Italy about a month ago, but this particular train is only showing a 6 a.m. departure from Ravenna on this date (and this is too early as we won’t have disembarked from the ship at that time).  I’ve been checking this route everyday for the last month and thought more times might become available today, 2 months out, but still nothing. Does anyone know why this might be?  Any assistance is appreciated.  thanks.

Hello We are looking for some ideas for traveling thru Italy relying on Eurail system for transportation in Late September thru October 2024 We will be traveling for about (4) weeks, we are planning to land in Rome spending time there, then heading south along the Amalfi coast visiting different towns along the way, heading down the west coast to Sicily. And then spending a couple of weeks in Sicily traveling and visiting the island. Wanted to know the reliability of the trains, How convenient is this idea to getting around, how does the train system and public transportation work in the outlying city's and how does and which Eurail pass works when using between the (2) months of our travel for a (4)-week visitThanks Joe & Tina
