I used up all my travel days on the first pass that I bought, so I got a second one.  Now I can’t seem to find the option to update it on the app.  Does anybody have experience with this?  Thanks in advance!

I have a country pass for Austria. When I create a new trip linked to my pass (not activated yet), I thought the app would let me know if my pass is not valid in parts of the trip. However, it doesn’t show anything, even if I add a trip completely outside of Austria, eg from Paris to Barcelona.Therefore, and as I was unable to find clear information about this:If I travel on the Railjet from Austria to Bratislava, is the ticket valid to Bratislava, or do I need an additional ticket from Vienna to Bratislava?

Ola. We are planning a trip for November - December 2025 to Norway, and we are inspired by the proposed trip "Norway in winter", passing through Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim and Bodo. But using the planner it is impossible to visualize the journeys... for example Oslo-Bergen or Bergen-Bodo... Can anyone tell me why? and are there any train connection problems? because on the Norwegian site it seems that many journeys are replaced by buses.And final question: is it a good idea to plan “Norway in Winter” for this end of the year?Thank you very much in advance for the answers.  

I'm trying to book reservations on this train and got this message.  Does this means there are no seats avaialble? It says seat reservations are not required.

Hi all! When I embark on a trip from Budapest to Cluj, I will pass Oradea. It looks like a very beautiful art noveau city that I'd like to check out, but I am unsure how long I should stay there. I could also check out Debrecen or other towns in the region. Does anyone have recommendations or must-see's in this region between Hungary and Romania?

Hey, in august i will be interrailing for the 1st time with 2 other friends, i was making the seat reservations until I stopped because I didn't know how to continue A train according to Interrail requires seat reservations, but they're no longer available on the Interrail website, so I go to the site listed under "more information" -> the Czech site.However, the site doesn't have this train (perhaps because Interrail doesn't support this organization, so it doesn't cover the train?).The Czech site (where seat reservations must be made) shows a train from 3:16 PM to 7:23 PM with train number EC 177. While Interrail shows a train from 2:47 PM to 7:23 PM with the same train number.- Both stations and dates are the same.How is this possible? And how am I supposed to make seat reservations? Just on the Czech website? Since they're the same train numbers, are they thereby also the same trains? i hope i made my story clear bye

When making bookings, I see the whole trip, book seats where necessary, then pay. The ticket only shows the paid part of trip. So do I just show my pass to get on the rest of the trains?

I'm trying to plan on the app a journey from Verona to sillian , in osttirol (austria). The shortest way is through the italian Pustertal (Bressanone/ Fortezza/ Brunico/ San candido/ sillian). The app apparently ignores this way and shows only a way trough innsbruck and woergl that takes much more time (+ 1 day).Anyone knows why?Thank you very much

Hola si quiero realizar la reserva de asientos con mi pase de primera clase en un tramo que dice reserva de asientos requerida, pero al ingresar solo figuran los importes de segunda clase y no la de primera, esto quiere decir que no necesito reservar? Tengo asegurado mi lugar?

Hi, I just saw this in the FAQs. We live in Bristol in the UK. Does this mean on my outbound trip we can travel from Bristol to London to Amsterdam (our first trip) but on our way home we can only travel from Paris to London (our last trip) and have to fund our travel from London to Bristol ourselves?  Your outbound journey can be used to travel from any location in your country of residence. Your inbound journey can be used to travel back to your country of residence. 

Bonjour, J’ai prévu 2 trajets, un de Paris à venise et l’autre de berlin à paris. Ma question concerne les trains sans réservation de place assise. Pour ces 2 trajets, qui ont des correspondances, une partie a été réservée avec réservation de place assise et une autre partie non. En effet, il était indiqué que la réservation de place assise n’était pas obligatoire. Hors les trajets sans réservation ne sont pas visible sur mon compte.  Comment se déroule un trajet sans réservation de place assise ?

I have a ticket for today, July 19 2025, from Amsterdam Central to Dusseldorf Germany at 14:01. I bought a seat reservation through the Rail Planner app, but it did not give me a choice of seats. I do not like the seat it picked so how do I modify my seat number? Is there a way to get a forward facing seat? 

I’m an Interrail newbie. I have reserved tickets from London to Strasbourg, but it says no reservations are needed for the rest of the journey to Basel. When I try to book it, it says You’re ready to board. So how do we get tickets? Do we have to go out to the ticket desk and show our passes to get tickets? Or do we just get off the train from Paris and get on the one to Basel without having any tickets? And when we have other journeys where no reservations are required (eg Basel-Chur), do we just go to the ticket counter and show our passes, and they will issue us tickets? Sorry, all basic stuff I know, but I can’t find the info on the website. Thanks!

Hello, I have read several articles about using inbound/outbound days but it is still quite confusing for me. I am from the Czech Republic and I have 2 questions:1) I have a valid interrail pass up to 7 August, I will spend my last travel day (of 5) on 26 July by reaching Nurnberg (Germany), Am I entitled to use my inbound day on 27 July to get back to Prague? E.g. with a change of train in Germany or Czech station if there is no direct connection to Prague in selected time? 2) I know there is written several times that inbound/outbound days are not extra days but it is still not clear enough for me... Can you confirm me, please, that this sentence is the true in the described situation: I have a valid interail pass but I have already spent my travel days. However, I still have inbound and outbound days left. Is it true that I cannot use them if I have already spend all my travel days? E.g. I would like to do a trip to Dresden and back using my inbound and outbound days after a break i

Hi Community,I'm still totally blown away by the Interrail offer - I actually didn't know that this offer was also available for adults and families.Our children have wanted a vacation in Spain for a long time, but I'm incredibly scared of flying, so it hasn't been an option until now. Now the idea of traveling by train came up.The route would be from Frankfurt (Main)/Germany to Barcelona (Blanes), departing on October 3. Two days there, two days back (October 11), we could use the 4-day Global Pass for that, right?When I was a child, I traveled to Spain with my parents in a sleeping car - that doesn't exist anymore, does it? With children, an overnight train connection would of course be ideal.Has anyone done this trip before and is Interrail travel really as straightforward as it seems?That would be fantastic. Buenas!! que tal?? sigo teniendo algunas dudas sobre la reserva de asientos. He comenzado a planear el Interrail. En la app voy añadiendo los viajes en tren que quiero a Mi viaje. Pero ahora no me queda claro como compro los billetes. Si pone que la reserva de asientos no es obligatoria… ya no tengo nada que hacer?? puedo no reservar nada y aun asi subirme al tren? No entiendo eso muy bien…Osea si no es obligatorio reservar asientos, puedo no reservar asiento y simplemente montarme en el tren sin haber hecho ningún tramite? No tengo que hacer nada?Sólo tengo que hacer “algo” cuando ponga reserva obligatoria??? Me da miedo quedarme en tierra.  Gracias!!! :)

Hello train enthusiasts,starting at the end of september from France, I’m planning to travel to Cinque Terre through Switzerland (Bernina railway). Arrival date in La Spezia will be imposed and accomodation nearby reserved. But otherwise, I’d like to both take my time and not make any booking in advance so that I feel free to stop wherever I want in the moment.I experienced it last year in Switzerland, and I’m absolutely confident in the fabulous Swiss trains. I have an Interrail pass, no reservations needed and it’s pretty easy to hop on a train to the next station if I don’t find an accomodation.But what about Italy ? Can I travel the same way ?The route will be through Tirano, Lecco, Bergamo, Brescia or maybe till Verona, Parma. I haven’t chosen where I would stop for 1 or 2 nights (suggestions welcome), but I think I will have only short travel days so I intend not to use my Interrail pass but buy point-to-point regional tickets with no reservation needed. Hello!If travelling from Beauvais to Paris on a Sunday in August (31st), would you advise booking the train ahead of time or is it okay to just turn up on the day and sort the ticket there and then (either with or without a rail pass)?Thanks so much!
