(I have the Eurail Global Pass) I’m trying to book the PE 2937 LUZERN-INTERLAKEN EXPRESS at 06:06 on December 22, but the seat reservations details are unavailable. If I add this to my trips without booking seat reservations, will I still be able to board the train. Or do I need to book the seat reservations on the Luzern website, or buy the whole ticket?

Hi, I want to plan a 5-6 days train trip this month. My plan is to visit munich first and start my trip from there. Main destination is switzerland but i just want to spend 1 or 2 days in austria as well. Do you have any recommendations or advice for me?I will be solo travelling and kinda like to scan the cities rather than spend lot of time there 🙂Thanks

April/May we will travel through Europe. One of the routes we are planning to do is Vilnius to Krakow. I’m figuring out how to book a seat reservation for this train. (for April 25 – connection: Depart 12.10 Vilnius (IC 143), 1 transfer in Mockova Arrival 23.39 in Krakow) We do have a 2 month pass so remarks about taking a bus instead are not very relevant.(although for Talinn-Riga and Riga-Vilnius we will take the bus) There is a daily connection leaving 12.10 and arriving 23.37 with 1 change in Mockava (LT). I checked the ltglink website and this is correct. Hi,I was hoping to take a direct train from utrecht centraal to koln hbf on Dec 7th (ICE255) and back on Dec 8th (ICE 152). As the seat reservation is optional for this route, I did not get the reservation in advance. But, now it says the train is fully booked.  Can I still travel on the same train with my Eurail pass (knowing that I might not get a seat to sit)? Or is it advisable to take a different connection? The train on 8th says only first class seats available. Does this mean I cannot use my Eurail pass (2nd class) for the journey?(Apologies if this has already been answered before but I couldn’t find an answer for my scenario yet.)Thanks in advance!

I have seen this question asked in older forums but haven’t seen a good answer regarding a transfer time of 12 minutes at Strasbourg.  We will be arriving on a TER train from Basil into Strasbourg with a 12 min transfer to the TGV INOUI going into Paris CDG.  If we miss the TGV train, the next one is about a 4 hr wait.  Are there dedicated platforms for TER and TGV trains ?  Has anyone traveled this route recently that can give me some tips ?

Hi, I’m new to this site and I’m trying to plan an inter-rai trip from the UK to southern Portugal and return. I’ve started by looking at the section from Paris to Montpellier, but I’m having problems with the reservations. Several trains on this route show as “Pass not valid”, but the train I want to look at (14.42 from Paris Lyon) shows as “seat reservations required” which is good. However, no matter what date I look at, the site always shows as “Sold out”.It’s hard to plan this trip with numerous trains being non reservable, but it’s even harder when some of those that are reservable, are always shown as sold out. My question is, is it usual that most of the TGVs on the route from Paris to Montpellier are not available to Inter-rail passholders? Also, is this true of many other high speed train routes in France and Spain, or have I just been unlucky when starting to plan our trip?

I’m once again adventures enough to go on a Vienna - Nürnberg - Stuttgart - Paris trip and after causing quite some confusion last time around I would like to ask in advance:What exactly am I supposed to do if my train connection between Vienna to Stuttgart is getting delayed and I miss the TGV to Paris I have a reserved seat?The DB Servicecenter in Nürnberg bluntly refused to help me at all, while the DB Servicecenter in Stuttgart rebooked my TGV reservation to the next TGV to Paris without any issues at all. Which left me both happy and quite confused.  

Hello,I am traveling soon. I tried to add my Eurail Italy Pass on the app, then I found that my last name was misspelled from Jatu to Jutu . I have contacted customer service. But not sure would they adjust before I travel.How long would they reply?and is it ok if I active my pass with the incorrect spelling?  

Our family of 5 wished to travel from London, to Bruges, to Ghent, and back to London over a  three day time span. Is the Global Pass the best deal for us? Also, will this pass allow for travel between central London and Heathrow on local trains? Thank you! 

after buying 2nd class pass. Can I upgrade the 2nd class pass to 1st class.

I've booked Eurostar tickets from London to Cologne at the end of March. I now find there is an international dentists convention in Cologne when we arrive. It has been suggested that I switch to Düsseldorf, as accommodation is either very limited or astronomical in Cologne. I tried to change Eurostar tickets but they will not change destination. I can see that our train goes to Dusseldorf in any event. Should I just book tickets to Dusseldorf from Cologne on DB, and stay on the train? Any advice please? 

Hello everybody!Planning on travelling to Europe again during Summer '25... wondering if there have been any major changes to Eurail passes in the last 2 years since I travelled last?Do we still need to be present inside Spain to be able to book Renfe trains, or have they opened online bookings?Are 2 kids under 12 still free with 2 parents? Maybe someone can point me towards relevant articles I should be reading to get myself updated? I find using the web easier to create plans of my coming trip and prefer it to the mobile app. It seems these two ways of creating trips are not linked albeit I guess the stuff is stored against my account. Is there a way to do this - create on one and port to the other preferably web to mobile app. Also I would like to print out my planned trip but it seems that I cannot print out a planned trip in detail from the mobile app. I can send an image to my email address and then print it out but not in detail. Also, whilst not relevant here but a whinge - this community web site registering process has a poor interface  … when something is in error it clears all the fields.    All this is fairly elementary to IT savvy folk. What’s the problem!

Hi! I am planning my first trip via train in Europe. I would like to confirm few items, Here is our itinerary for full month of FebruaryDay 1 : Oslo - Bergen, extra 12nok for seat reservation Day 2: Paris-Geneva, this trip for my dates, which is 2 months from now, is showing 338 euros. If I have EUrail pass, do I just have to pay just 39 euros for a seat reservation? Is this 39 euros fixed, or it can increase when its closer to booking time? Just looking at the price of the ticket on the SNCF website, i.e., 338 euros, an EU rail pass makes so much sense if I have to pay just 39 euros. I hope I am not missing anything. Day 3: Geneva-Zurich, extra for seat reservation; I am not sure how much it was not clear on the eurail website. Day 4: Zurich - Chur - Tirano - Milan - Venice, for Bernina express do i have to book tickets from the actual website, i.e., 32chf? For a high-speed train in Italy, how much do I have to pay for seat reservations? Where do I find this information? Day 5: Venice

Hi,I want to book a train from Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi) to Amsterdam on the 19th of Dec between 7:00 and 9:00 latest, with our Eurail Global pass. However there is a massive charge of €320.00 for the direct 7:53 train, for 2 adults & 2 youths.Kindly assist, how can I reserve our seats without such a charge, do I need to first stop elsewhere?Thank you 

Hi, on the direct train from Amsterdam to Cologne on the Rail Europe site there is no charge, but I can’t add the booking to reserve the seats (I assume it is because there is not a seated reservation fee to be paid). If I then go to the exact same train and journey to the Eurail site, there is a supplement charge they want to charge.Kindly assist, why is there supplement charge on Eurail site, and why can’t I add the booking on the Rail Europe site, which has no charge. With thanks

 I am able to see and book a train reservation on the night train from Split to Budapest (1205 ADRIA INTERCITY) on the MAV (Hungarian) website. It does not appear on the app though.  New Eurail pass user.  So confused!I have searched topics but can’t find the answer.
