I was wondering when the planner will be updated for Monday 16th December and beyond.  Certainly from my own researching, schedules for Britain, France, Italy, Germany and Switzerland are all available.  (I am sure the same is true for many more countries as well but I haven’t investigated these.)It’s not a big deal for me.  Using national train websites I know which trains I will be taking over the Christmas period, and I have booked up all the required seat reservations that I require through Rail Europe.  It just would be nice to get things put into “My Trip”Peter

Hi,I already read how it should work normally. But when I go to sj.se and enter the interrail numbers for our two adults (for the two kids it is not possible to enter), I get strange prices like “family offer” or super expensive first class reservations. And they change the longer the route is I want to book.Any idea how I could solve this? Would it be possible to enter the train without reservation and ask the conductor? One example: When I want to go this sunday von Karlstad to Trelleborg it could cost1096 sek on 8:23 (family offer)5010 sek on 8.23 (first class)5010 sek on 10:15664 sek on 12:23...

I thought from the main Reservations thread that one could use ‘ Interrail.eu/Eurail.com reservation service (+ 2 EUR/train booking fee - reservation included)’ for Italy-Austria-Germany. This is for 2 November.But I cannot get there - when I log into interrail.eu, it says:You need a supplement to board this trainThe train is included in your Pass but also requires a supplement. You can buy it online, at the station, or on board the train.’ and sends me here:https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/reservations/trains-with-additional-supplementsIt also says re reservations: ‘ No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable. ’I’ve also tried unsuccessfully to get one via DB online (as I’ve already got an account with them); I can only manage to get to booking a reservation but cannot find a way to buy the supplement there. Hi All,  I am planning on travelling from CDG airport through to Brussels on the 17 December, I can book the seat reservation through Rail Europe but cannot book the train ticket through Rail Planner yet as it is not updated. Should I book the seat reservation now and just wait for Rail Planner to be updated and book the ticket when available.  If I book the seat reservation, is there any chance that I would not be able to use the Eurail pass on that train? HiOkay going on a Chocolate/Cheese/Christmas Market adventure - weather may not be perfect but that’s what we’ve got available so this is when we are going. What are the refund charges for a Eurail Promo Global Pass Senior, 22 days Continous, 1st class (€670 -25%    = €503) if cancelled after the promption date of October 22 2024. Will the charge be 25€ if I purchased this pass at a promotional price of €503 today, October 19, 2024?

Please help.I'm trying to book Glacier express from andermatt to chur on 30 Dec but the website says there is no connection on this day. However I can see it on the timetable. Can someone please help. I have a eurail global pass 

Hi, I am trying to book a ticket between Paris and Zermatt for 18th December (Have an EURail pass). The EURail website still does not show any trains availability. We are now officially two months before we need to travel. Appreciate the December changeover of timetables but it is pretty inconvenient to say the least to not know when the timetables will infact update or at all. I realise we may have to book Paris - Geneva and rest does not require reservation but even that sector isnt available for booking yet. 

We (2 adults, two children 2,5) would like to travel in Sveden with Interrail first class. We would like to go with x2 / x2000 train from Malmö to Gotenburg  but on Interrail app, a reservation is 19€. Four times 19€ seems a little expensive to me.Are there any cheaper options / is reservation really needed? or are there any benefits like free meal?

Hello everyone, from the beginning of november till christmas I want to travel thorough eastern europe and am thinking about doing a stop in istanbul and athens as well. For some of the stops that I want to take I can’t find a connection, not on google and not in the railway app. Do you have advice on how to find a connection? I saw that you can take busses as well?Thanks for your help!Hannah :)

Hey ! I plan to travel with Interrail in november and I would like to end my trip with Tallin (I would come from Stockholm) and Krakow before my return to Paris. I am totally flex about Krakow, I can change for Warsaw or even Vilnius if I can come back to Paris after. But I don’t find any connexions between those cities.I know that there was no train but I read there is now one (here : https://www.lefigaro.fr/voyages/relier-la-france-aux-pays-baltes-en-train-c-est-desormais-possible-grace-a-cette-nouvelle-ligne-20231221) so my question is : is there really a train Tallinn-Krakow (or Tallinn-Warsaw or Tallin-Vilnius) ? Or can’t I find it because of the weather ? If it is the case, do you think it would be repared before my trip ?Thank you in advance, Marie

We are travelling with our 2nd class eurail pass, 2 of us, in the coming weeks.We have a few trains with “seat reservations optional” mainly in Switzerland, and we are just wondering what the thoughts of the community are, as to whether we need to purchase these? Is it common on these routes?We don’t mind having to move seats for others or sit apart if we have to, but would ideally like to avoid the ground or standing… haha. Since it’s not high season, I wonder if we’ll be ok?  JOURNEYS• IC680 Lugano to Luzern 24/10. • PE2926 Luzern to Interlaken 25/10.• IC817 Interlaken to Zurich 27/10.• EC191 Zurich to Munich 28/10.• ICE1110 Munich to Berlin 30/10.• IC146 Berlin to Amsterdam 1/11. We are leaning towards YES for the bottom 3 and no to the others based on journey length but open to advice. Also, which websites are the most cost effective for these reservations?

How are you?I re-open a discussion about this topic to see if there are news for the next year.I am thinking about a 15 days in 2 months pass, there is a 110 euro difference between first and second class.I already used a first class pass, in 2023, and it was ok. Not huge advantages, but ok. I liked first class with the Eurostar (Italy) and I think the reservation fee was mostly the same price. More space in Spain, nice lounge in Vienna. More availability in general and reservations costs are, in the continental area, almost the same (I avoided France). In Germany I did not notice huge difference between 1l2 class. Bulgaria and Romania, you must anyway adapt a bit.I used a lot of night train, but with bed, so there the first class is not helping at all.I read that first class is particularly good if travelling in UK, but I am not planning it.Do you have some particularly good experience?I am searching feedback in particular about Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Sweden, Norway)

Hello, my name is Marco and I am new in the community. The question is about travelling to Spain from Italy. I don’t have a lot of time and I would like to visiti in three weeks just Spain and Portugal, and I noticed that the trains to go there are more expensive than a plane (around 20/30 euro). Do you think it would make sense to travel with the plane to spare money and time, and then activate the pass once I’ll be there? thank you

Looking at buying a 5 or 7 day pass now and using in March 2025. We fly into Zurich mid month and plan to train it to Interlaken. Then on to Strasbourg, Belgium and Amsterdam. Those trips I want to book close to the day as they will be at the mercy of flights. However I want to book the train from Amsterdam to London as early as possible as we will be flying out of London in the evening of our train to London.  Can I buy now, activate for March and book our last train at the end of March now?

Hi, I’m planning on going from Bulgaria, probably Sofia of Plovdiv to Croatia, now I have to go through other countries and I was thinking about Bosnia (Sarajevo)  but I can’t seem to find the train anywhere. what is the best way to make this trip with maybe 1 or 2 stops and hopefully all with the train. let me know if you have tips to get from Bulgaria to Croatia

Hi, I want to go interrailing from Greece (Athens) to Bulgaria. Does anyone have tips for trains and the best route to take? 

I am looking to travel on AVE from Zaragoza to Madrid. I hold a Interrail Global Pass in first class and would like to travel in first class with lounge access and meal service, the so-called Confort Prémium. This special seat reservation should cost around 23€ as opposed to the 10€ for “basic” first class where the only advantage is a wider seat. My sources are Seat61 and this brochure.However, I am having a hard time booking this:I won’t arrive in Spain till the very day I’m travelling, and since it’s a Sunday evening, I fear my train may be sold out by then, so buying it at a Renfe ticket office is hardly an option.   The employee at the Renfe call centre eagerly promoted the pre-booking option where you can call and book a seat, then pick it up at a Renfe ticket office within 72 hours. I have my rail pass and I purchased seat reservations and the supplement is included.  To use the pass I am trying to add my journey to the pass on the app.  The journey says seat reservation and supplement required and does not add. The toggle in my trip is grayed out. Can I just select use travel day and board with my seat assignment ticket that I printed?
