I live in UK and have bought a 3month global pass. I realise I only have one outbound and 1 inbound journey to UK. If I go abroad for 5weeks and return home, can I return abroad and carry on using my pass for the remainder of the 3months - as long as I pay my own fare to and from the border? Someone told me once I make my registered inbound trip, I cannot use the pass again.
We are from the United States and are flying into Alicante, Spain in July. We are spending 1 week in Alicante (plan to visit Madrid and possibly Barcelona), then spending a week in Assisi, Italy (plan to visit Rome, Florence, and maybe Venice). Seeing today’s special on a 1 month unlimited pass gets me thinking that the Eurail would be easier/ cheaper than rental cars and a flight to Italy. Any advice is very appreciated! This is our first time to Europe.
Hello everyone, I got a quick question for you.I bought 1 month continuous global pass for interrail which is valid for 11 month. Can I use the half (14 days) in July and the other half (14 days) in September? And during the time in-between, can I go back to my home country? Or once I activated the ticket and start the journey, I got 30 days to travel? Thanks in advance.
Hi there!I'm planning to buy a 1 month global mobile interrail pass, however, I'm also planning to buy a new smart phone after the purchase of the ticket. Can I use my pass on my new phone before I active it on my former phone? I didn't do it but it's my plan. Thank you in advance.
Dear Railers, I want to get a 3-months interrail ticket. However my question is whether can use it in ANY three months of this year. So for example can I use the month of July, then September and then December? or does it have to be conscetuvie months (e.g. June, July, August).Furthermore i had the question whether i can take any train (e.g., also the ICE train in Germany)Thank you so much for the information! Yours, Levin
I am from the Netherlands and want to go to Scotland this summer and I want to purchase my Interrail-pass today. However, I don't have a passport yet (I will in a few weeks), I just have a national ID-card. Can I enter my ID-number for the Interrail-pass, and bring my ID with me to confirm that it is me? (And of course also bring my passport.)
Hi traveling geeks, I live in The Netherlands, and plan to buy a 3-month pass for my summer tour in Europe, but I don’t really understand the terms on the website. So I’d like to make an example to make the question more visible:Let’s say I want to travel from Amsterdam to Turkey. If I book on the App: Outbound:From: Amsterdam, July 1stTo: Ankara, August 1stInbound: From: Ankara, August 2ndTo: Amsterdam, August 31stBecause it’s really far, there are many possible routes. Does it mean that I can basically travel in any countries on the way as long as I make it in Ankara on August 1st? Do I need to book every single connection beforehand or can I just hop on the trains which doesn’t need reservation?Assuming the following 2 scenarios:1. I want to travel again in September. Is my 3-month pass still valid? Can I book another Outbound/Inbound trip?2. Let’s say there is an emergency when I arrive in Vienna and I had to fly back to Amsterdam. Then I want to resume this trip. Do I have to fly
Hi.I’m a U.K. citizen looking to buy one of your continuous interrail passes that are currently discounted to celebrate the 50th anniversary. I read somewhere that these passes are only available to EU residents. Is this true? Am I eligible as a British citizen or do I need to purchase a Eurail pass? Thanks, Liam
Hello, looking for advice for our honeymoon in March 2023. We are looking to travel from London to Paris, then Paris to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Berlin and then Berlin back to London. We have hotels currently booked for Paris 22/03 - 26/03Amsterdam 26/03 - 28/03Berlin 28/03 - 01/04We are looking to use the train for the whole trip as not a huge fan of flying and trying to understand if the passes would be worth it in terms of cost, which pass would you choose and how the seat reservations system works. Any advice would be appreciated.
HelloI am hoping for a speedy reply to the following problem as I will be travelling in a few hours. I got my Mobile Pass activated on my smartphone fine a few days ago. I added a trip to the first travel day just fine.It is my second travel day tomorrow (actually today, as I now spent hours over midnight to resolve this, unsuccessfully) and I am unable to add a trip to the travel day. Therefore, my pass remains unusable for my journey in just a few hours. In another post I read to:» go to the "My Trip" section. There you click the + button and then select "Connect a Pass to this trip". «But when I do this, I only get an option to add a Paper Pass but not the Mobile Pass I got registered and visible under MyPass. This happens regardless whether I am offline or online or restart the app or the smartphone. I am pretty much at my wits end and wonder what the conductor will charge me when I can't present a valid ticket. I could do with an answer URGENTLY !
Email : firstname.lastname@example.org does not work. when clicked on HELP, assistant is limited in helping get the answers. The responses are in loop. same with facebook messenger, kept asking the same questions but no immeidate answer. Placed the pass in the cart but i cannot check them out. this cause me to lose my confidence in buying the EURAIL. I hope it is not a mistake to buy the EURAIL pass. Thanks.
Can I buy an Interrail pass if I have a student visa from Germany and I registered my address to the German government?
As I mentioned in the title I am a Mexican student living here for 8 months and I have my visa and also a Meldebestätigung document. Would that allow me to use also the Interrail pass? I am not exactly sure what does it mean to be a resident from the EU.
Hello! I have a question about outbound/inbound journeys. Is it true, that when you purchase any interrail global continuous pass (It does not matter if 1 month or 3 months long), you have only ONE inbound and ONE outbound journey which you can use through the validity of the pass from your country of residence? Why I am asking: We are thinking about buying a global pass, but this rule does not make sense to me. Why can you purchase a 3-month-long pass when you can't travel from your country of residence to more trips? For example to one week-long trip every month? If you need to step across the border at your own cost, Interrail is almost for nothing, since the costs for crossing the borders are the biggest... One more: If the rule work like this, from where can you use interrail pass? From the last station of your country of the residence or from the first stop abroad? Thanks for any help! :))
Hi, I have a question concerning the Inboung/outbound trip. I actually live in France and I’m thinking of buying the 3 month pass. But I do not really understand the inbound/outbound thing. For example if I buy the pass it would be to do extended week-ends in the surrounding countries for example France/Spain then Spain France in april for 4 daysFrance Belgium /Belgium France in may 5 daysFrance Germany / Germany France june 6 daysFrance UK/UK France june 4 daysas there are direct lines that to these trips (Thalys Paris Amsterdam for example or Paris Bruxelles) is that considered as an Inbound/ outbound travel ? By doing this would I be violating the interrail rules ?thank you for your answer
Travelling with 3 children, 2 adult passes bought but can 1 adult do a journey alone with the 3 kids?
Hi! I have bought 2 adult passes for this summer, we will be travelling with 3 children (6, 9, 11)My question is, do both adults have to do all legs of the journey together with the 3 children (normally 2 kids passes can be had for free per adult) or can 1 parent take 3 kids on a journey (considering all children will have a pass because obtained with the other parent) ? If my husband can’t do one of the trips, does that mean we can’t go without him or does one youth pass have to be purchased extra? The info isn’t clear enough and I can’t find any advisor to help me with this. Thanks so much for any guidance you can provide!
Hi all, I’m new on this forum and of this kind of trips.I would like to buy a 2 months young pass, and my question is: can I activate it before my 28th birthday, and then starting travelling after that date? For example: I buy young ticket, I activate it the 4th of June, I become 28 the 5th of June, I start travelling the 8 of July (dates are solely for demonstation purposes). Another question: can two or more passes be stored on the same device in the app? Thanks y’all! Il Ciciarampa
