Query about exact permissible dates for 50% promotion if I buy a 2 month Interrail Global pass on 9th May 2022
If I book the 2 month promotion (£227 - don't believe it!) on say 9th May 2022 would that enable me to use the interrail ticket from 8th April 2023 right up to 7th June 2023, even if I only use the second month? It would be worth the tiny bit extra for the Spring weather and flowers! Also - are my dates within those months correct, or would it just be from 1st April 2023 for 2 months?
My pass was automatically extended in 2021 until August 31, 2022, to activate, by covid 19. But now it just plainly says that my pass has expired!!! I contacted customer service and they provided the following solution.Add my pass to the trip, but as a paper pass and not as a mobile pass. Only, yes, then you must enter a start date on which you want to use the pass.At the moment I really don't know when I will travel, probably sometime in early September. Are there any people who have come across this, that their automatically extended pass is now casually indicated as expired?And who can't use their pass now? Or possibly want to make a seat reservation via the interrail website, but which is not possible.
Hi there,I wanted to book a ticket for all 5 of us. We are travelling sometimes together and sometimes we split up und join later .Not all of us have a mobile device, but due to the server outage yesterday we were only able to purchase a ticket on allaboard.eu . What they forgot to mention was, that they only distribute mobile tickets.How can we use this with the mobile ticket?Not all of our children does have there own devices and as far as I know we are not able to tranfer the ticket from one device to another.I would love to get the paperbased Global pass, but how?Thank you for your help!Horst
I have until midnight to decide to buy a half price rail pass so not much time to plan or explore where i can go and any problems I might encounter. I will start from Calais (i live in London) I would like to start by going to Malaga maybe via somewhere in France for an overnight stop. Are there many trains where I have to make a booking and will I have to pay for the booking.
Similar problem has been experienced by others on this forum, but I wondered what the resolution was .We've used 2 days travel on our interrail ticket. Today, on a non-travel day, my wife's (iphone) app has allocated a 3rd travel day. This 3rd travel day has been given the same date day 1 of our travel. Plus, it says that this is also an outbound/inbound day (as is day 1).So now she doesn't have enough travel days to get home. Plus we she doesn't have the required inbound day available for travel back to the UK.Contacted customer services but we need resolution in the next 36 hours. Not confident of this getting sorted and convinced we'll have to buy extra tickets.
Hi, I bought the five day Interrail Global Pass for 1 month (I reside in Germany). I already used two days of my pass to travel from Düsseldorf to Paris. All worked well. For my 3rd journey, I would like to travel from Düsseldorf to Amsterdam. I therefore open the app, add a journey in my pass under the number 3, and then choose my preferred time and route. All works perfectly fine, but then I do not see this little button on the top right with the QR code symbol to basically “activate that journey” and get the ticket with the QR code. I did see it when I booked my journey from Düsseldorf to Paris, so I am assuming I also need it for my Amsterdam journey as well. For my 4th and 5th journey, I want to book a trip from Düsseldorf to Innsbruck, and the same issue occurs, i.e., I do not see that little QR button. Help needed please, thanks!
I was wondering about the following situation: if I am currently living in Germany but are a British Citizen, can I buy a Interrail Global Pass for UK? Hi,I am a resident of Germany, so in order to save my in country travel limit(not use it now) and use my global pass to break my journey such that from munich to border of station of Austria i go on (my expense) then take a train from Austria which goes to Paris (Case 1:via Germany(no change within Germany or Case2: has train change in between cities in Germany) will this trip valid considering the cases mentioned ,on my interracial global pass?
I am looking at 4-day 1st class Global Eurail passes in early August for travel from southern Germany to Jung Frau and back. We will likely be staying in an Airbnb in Wengen BE for two nights and then traveling back to Germany. We are from the US and we will be visiting our son and his wife and 3 year old daughter. They are US citizens as well but working in Germany. First question: is the 4 day pass going to be the most economical option to serve our needs for all the travel and various trains we will need to board? I’m pretty sure when I checked several months ago, this was a practical option according to a representative of Eurail. Secondly, will my son’s family be precluded from getting Eurail passes since they reside in Germany? Lastly, how do we go about reserving seats or do we need to worry about that with 1st class?
Hi thereI’m been travelling from Switzerland to Barcelona with Interrail. The place where we stayed is about an hour from Barca with the Rodalies de Catalunya which ist operated by Renfe and therefore should be included in the Interrail Global Pass. In Barcelona Sants they let us pass when we showed the Interrail ticket. But in the small station we left the train, they did not know Interrail and would not let us out (you need a Tickets to put in the machine or a badge). I plan another trip to the same place and now I’m having a 1 month pass. So it would be ok to use the Interrail pass every other day for the short travel to Barcelona and back. What would you suggest to do?
Dear official, there is a problem with your page. 4 friends have been waiting for 1 hour to buy tickets. We are afraid of not getting our tickets at a discount. I have been trying for hours to buy 50% off tickets for my family and was not able to even put them in the basket. Since some time to website is completely down, although it kept telling me that it the offer will be available until 5 am CET 11 May - not sure what to do - tried via chat function, sent request via email and was informed that I will get a reply within the next 2 days - hope I will still get the chance to finish my order!
Can you help, if I have a global 1month pass which expires on the 11 month from purchase and the date of expiry is 30th may if I activate to use on the 30th may do I get to use it for a month from that date? Or does my trips have to be completed by the 30th may? Hope that make sense.

However, does my first Journey need to START on 09th April, 2023 ? Or can I activate my pass to start on 09th April, 2023 and then start my first journey 10days later - on 19th April, 2023 ?
If i get a pass for 1st of july till end of august, Do I then HAVE to use the first of july? Or can I start later? Of course I dont expect it to be extended, but I am not sure on what day I can leave so i want to book more days then necassary so that i can leave between 1st and 8th...
Hello there So I am new to the whole interrail thing. And I was wondering, when do I have to ”connect a trip” to my mobile Pass?I know I can “activate” the Pass on the first day of travel, but can I “connect” it at any time between now and then? Or do I have to connect it now to keep it from expiring early or somethig? I know I am propably overthinking this, but thanks for any help beforehandGreatings!
