This is the statement on the EuRail site regarding pass exchanges: Refund and exchange requests for Rail Passes without a predefined start date (open date Passes), can be granted if such Passes are returned to us unused, not activated, and no later than six months from the last possible activation date of the Pass. I have sent a question to EuRail, but it’s been 2 weeks without an answer yet. I know they are busy. Does six months from the last possible activation date mean Six months AFTER the last possible activation date OR Six months BEFORE the last possible activation dateDoes anyone know for sure? If six months before I need to make my exchange by Saturday. If six months after I have until October. ‘Thanks so much for any assistance you can provide.
Hello!I am a german citizen currently living in Spain for an Erasmus-Semester. I want to travel to Germany and Austria for some visits but I am not sure about the Outbound/Inbound Journey Rules. Can somebody help me? What is my Homecountry? Germany (as I am noted there as citizen) or Spain (as I am actually living there at the moment and that would also be from where the Journey starts and ends) This would be my Travel Plan: Cordoba-Lübeck. This is a 2 day trip. On the first day it would be from Cordoba (Spain) to Biel (Switzerland) via France. The second day of the journey is from Biel (Switzerland) to Lübeck (Germany). From Lübeck (Germany) I want to go to Würzburg (Germany). Is this homecountry travelling or not? From Würzburg (Germany) to Vienna (Austria). From Vienna (Austria) back to Cordoba. Also a 2 day trip. First day is Vienna - Avignon (France) via Switzerland, NOT! passing through Germany. Second day is Avignon (France) to Cordoba. The way I see it, if Spain counts as my
Hi everyone, I have many questions before I purchase a Eurail pass. I am 21 years old and will be backpacking Europe for 3 months, starting June 29 and ending September 25. I will be traveling to Greece, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Below I have detailed my itinerary, and I was hoping you could answer my questions after reviewing my travel plans. My Itinerary: - Fly to Greece on June 29- Greece: Athens>Milos>Athens>Crete- Fly to Catania, Italy- Italy: Catania>Calabria>Bari>Rome>Florence>La Spezia>Bologna>Venice>Milan- Take overnight train to Barcelona, Spain - Spain: Barcelona>Valencia>Granada>Seville>Madrid- Take train to Porto, Portugal - Portugal: Porto>Sintra>Lisbon- I will fly back to the US from Lisbon on September 25 My concerns:I learned that reservations are needed on most train routes in all of these countries. The ferries are an additional cost and not included in the rail pass. I will be traveling in the summer, the bus
So I got the order confirmation, and everything was fine. I logged in successfully using my pass code, but after a few days it got disconnected and i can no longer log in to the rail planner app using my code. It says that ”something went wrong”. Has anyone had the same problem?
Hi all, My friend and I have booked a holiday of a lifetime with our two 1st class interrail passes. However, my pass does not work for reservations due to my having a non alphanumeric character in my name.I have tried customer service for a long time, I never get a reply. There are no tickets left for expensive/important parts of our trip with mandatory reservations. We are resorting to flights/buses. The whole purpose of the trip was the 1st class rail travel. I have tried every other form of contact and am resorting to this because I leave in under 48 hours (on a flight to a city that I have no interest in because it was the only one I could afford to get to the continent). This has been an issue since February. My last name is in the system as O’Connor but the system will not accept the ’ character (right single apostrophe) .Does anyone from interrail read this? Can anybody help?I have tried customer service and the technical desk but I get no replies. I tried the phone number but h
Hi there, I have a global eurail 2 month pass and I have activated my ticket and used it for one train ride. Hi, I booked my return trip, but the day on the pass says today whereas I will be travelling tomorrow. Very strange, as I added it at 4pm with a departure time for 10.30am. I tried to cancel it immediately, but not possible. I contacted interrail via FB messenger and email, but it will take 4 days to get a reply... Anyone having an idea on how to solve this?
At the beginning of 2021 we bought interrail passes. Unfortunately, our trip could not continue in the summer of 2021 due to the corona restrictions. We were therefore happy that we received an email from interrail on May 6, 2021 that our passes would remain valid until August 2022. Now I want to book trains, but this is refused because the passes seem to be valid until March 2022. Can this validity still be adjusted?
Hello! I'm planning to visit Switzerland and I want to visit Sion in Switzerland by train, does any of you know if the interail single country pass is valid for this? For example, if I want to visit Sion from Lucern, is it included in the pass? Thank you in advance!
Hi all,I will be travelling to Italy/France in two weeks time. I have actually purchase the eurail pass at around €270 and has yet to activate it as I am trying to see if there is any ways to avoid the seat reservations fees which can easily add up to another €100. My friend somehow managed to avoid these fees when she booked all the rails required over the counter physically once she landed in europe. Can anyone help to confirm if this is still valid? Will it be more cost-efficient to cancel the eurail pass and purchase individual tickets via trainline then if seat reservations are confirmed to be required? Or any other apps if you guys can suggest to me. It’s my first time to europe travelling around between different country. Appreciate all the suggestions and help to save cost! Thanks in advance.
Hi there, I have a few questions before I purchase my passes, could anyone help?1. I'm a disabled mum with two children and need to have a carer with us, how do I apply for a carer pass? I can't seem to get hold of anyone, I've tried emails, chat bots, dead phone numbers, everything. Obviously I don't want to purchase my pass unless I know I can actually use it and don't know what to do!? 2. I've been trying to look at reserving seats for the nightjet Amsterdam-Zurich on the 25th July, I've tried the obb website and the interrail app but when I try to do seat reservations only it just comes up "ticket not available" I can however book a full price ticket without using the interrail card so the train must be running?? How do I book a couchette for this train? Many thanks in advance
