Hi! I wanted to ask a question about the Interrail pass (I won the pass on the DiscoverEU site)I currently live in an island (Sardinia, Italy); ferries are available but they would take at least 10-12 hours if not more. Do we have a right to take a plane to Europe using our pass? 

Hi All,My boyfriend and I will be traveling throughout Europe for two months in April and May. We will be going from Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Belgium, Amsterdam, Germany, Prague, Switzerland, and Italy. We were looking at getting the 15 day 2 month pass from moving from city to city, and then any small day trips just pay out of pocket. While doing more research we are confused. For example if we get the pass, we can jump on any train to lets say Barcelona to Paris for free with the pass? But there might be reservation fees? and luggage fees?OR will we also be paying the difference in ticket price that the pass doesn’t cover? For example the pass would be $422 for 15 days = $28.13 per ride. Looking at a ticket to Barcelona to Paris it’s around $60 so will I pay for a reservation fee, luggage fee, and $31.87 to cover the difference? I know this is long, I just wanted to be really thorough, we are starting to budget more for this trip and want to make sure we understand if the Eu

I have a interrail global pass. I want to go Italy-Venezia. I have to do seat reservation for it. But I could not on app because my enterance adress is Turkey and I’m now in Germany. Ticket office also couldn’t. They said that you must do it on app. What should I do? This Emergency because I am waiting train station.

I want to travel from england to switzerland . Now if i pick 4 day 1 month does that mean i can use the train 4 days yet stay whereever k want for -1 month? Secondly my questiln is that im I’m british so does that mean im European? excuse my stupid question as I'm new to inter-rail. 

In the past I have had the pleasure of traveling with Interrail on a number of occasions.  Me and my fellow travelers love to look out the window.  That used to be obvious, but nowadays there are unfortunately a lot of seats without a view, between the windows, etc. These are window seats without a window.  That to me is not really “travel”, that is waiting for you to arrive.  Then I prefer to travel with my own car.  A few years ago you could e.g.  in Italy very handy in the app.  reserve a specific seat.  Not possible anymore. Also this is not possible at the vending machine in France.  My question to the community is: Is it possible to reserve a specific seat via italiarail.com and/interrail.eu?  The same question when booking TGVs in France via Belgian Railway/interrail.eu?

I don't really understand how it works when there is no need to reserve a seat on a train. Do I have to do anything before I get on the train? What ticket do I have to show on the train? What does optional reservation mean? Am I sure to have a seat on the train? Thank you in advance for your answer

If I start the trip at 10p.m and arrive to the destination next day at 6 a.m. Does that count as one travel day or two? 

If I go on a train in the morning, for example at 7 a.m and arrive somewhere at 10 a.m and than I go on the next train in the evening at 5 p.m and arrive to the destination at 9 p.m the same day. Do these two trips count as one travel day or two days, since everything happens in the same day? 

Hi, on the map I see a connection between Venice and Marseille and when I google I see that is has to be possible in about 10 hours, but I can't find it in the app…..what is wrong? 

I am looking at purchasing the Eurail pass for Switzerland, but I cannot find any information on whether or not the pass will allow travel on the various scenic trains (Bernina Express, Glacier Express, Golden Pass).  I do see that it allows transit to and from Luzern - Interlaken - Montreux - Zermatt, but are these on the scenic trains, or regional trains. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi! My friend was just given a free interrail pass and a group of friends have decided to join her (including myself) this summer to do some travelling around Europe. I’ve heard that groups can be added onto her pass but I can’t find any information about this on the website, will the rest of us be able to travel with her pass or will we need to each purchase our own? Apologies if this is a silly question, I just thought it would be better to ask before proceeding in case the rest of the group may be able to save some money. Thanks!

HiI took the trains from Orbetello Italy on 9/1/2022 to Halle Saales Germany on 10/1/2022, in which:- Orbetello to Roma Termini (local train): I marked travel day 9/1/2022 and got QR code ticket-Roma Termini to Muenchen: night train, booked seat but forgot to mark in order to get QR code ticket-Muenchen to Halle Saales: forgot to mark in order to get QR code ticketThis morning, 10/1, when i remember, i tried to mark but it says the travel day is the past as in screenshot below. When I chose today, it says I already use all (4) days of travel. I sent email to customer service Interrail but the reply informed that they will get back to me within 2 days. Im on the train and I cannot waiy that much time.Is there any way to mark and get QR code ticket? Or can I use the QR code ticket for the trip from Orbetello to Roma termini as a proof of travel for remaining trains to Halle? Thanks 

Estoy preparando un viaje para este verano en el que quiero visitar Lituania, Letonia y Estonia (o algo así). Pero a la hora de preparar el recorrido y consultar los trenes, me dice que no hay horarios disponibles entre ninguna de las ciudades de estos paises y tampoco accediendo desde otro país (por ejemplo un tren de Varsovia a Vilnius). ¿Alguien sabe a que se debe? This will be a really long post so if it’s too much to read all of it, the main questions are:(1) does my itinerary below actually count as 4 travel days (based on using night trains)?(2) I think I need 3 journeys on 3 separate days in total, within my own country. This apparently isn’t allowed on the Interrail ticket. Is there any way round this, for example if you’re using nightjet and there’s no other route (Germany’s pretty big)?Long version:I’ve booked a holiday house on the South Coast of France (near Cannes), and we decided this year that it’s too far by car, and we won’t take the plane. I live in Germany, not so far from the Dutch border. I want to travel to Italy and France this summer, but start from Amsterdam as the nightjet starts from there. I rashly booked an expensive holiday house last night, after working out that me and the family could have some fun with an Interrail ticket and visit a few places on the way. I went to book the Interrail ticket and saw the home country travel rule. Oh! Now I think it might not be possible to holiday as i’d planned so I really need your help. The plan is to leave on a Wednesday, from where I live in Germany (near the Dutch border) to Amsterdam to catch the nightjet NJ40295 that evening. This goes direct to Munich overnight, arrives Thursday morning. I need to be in Munich for the connection to Milan on Thursday evening, also a nightjet, so arriving on Friday morning. As said in the title, my ID will expire next year and I’ll probably get a new one before I start my travels. I’d like to take the opportunity and buy my Interrail ticket with the current discount though.Is it possible to register/buy a ticket now and ‘update it’ to my new ID once I have it?

If I board a night train after 00:00 can I take another train after that, is it counted as 1 travel day.

Hello! Two of my friends and I have Interrail Global Passes and have already chosen the flex travel option. We had previously won the passes via the DiscoverEU contest before the pandemic and are now hoping to finally travel! I read on the website that travelling in the UK is possible despite the Brexit restrictions. However, can we only travel in England and Scotland without entering an EU country? Do our passes differ from the ones which can be bought through the Interrail website? I mean, is there any additional obligation from our part to travel in an EU country or do the same things apply for all Interrail Global Passes? Our home country is Greece by the way. Thanks in advance!

Hey - very new to this pass and getting slightly frustrated.  I’m trying to book a train from Paris to Nice at the end of March.  I’m not able to book any of the trains listed (there’s seats available but not with the eurail pass).  Is there a workaround that may get me there that I’m not aware of?  Fully booked via eurail seems to be a common affliction with anything I try to book through France - is this normal?Cheers

It’s my first real trip abroad.I’m not sure which of my two planned tours is better for me.Trip 1:Copenhagen – Gothenburg – Oslo – Stockholm – HelsinkiTrip 2:Vienna – Ljubljana – Budapest – (Bratislava -) Prague – Warsaw – Krakow (Start ist in Germany)A trip to Scandinavia has been a dream of mine for a long time. But it is much more expensive than Eastern Europe. And I also want to see the Northern Lights once in my life, so maybe I should do this trip in another winter.Eastern Europe is much cheaper. Is it advisable to choose Eastern Europe as your first trip? Are there better alternatives for beginners?And another question: Would it be better to book the hostels in advance or is a spontaneous booking possible? I’m afraid the best hostels fully booked.

Hello there, This summer we want to travel from the Netherlands to Paris, and then to Italy. I'm traveling with a child, so I don't want the routes to be too long. We don't want to be in the train for like 6 hours. So I planned this: Breda - Brussels or directly to Paris. Paris - Lyon.Then I get stuck. I want to travel to Italy then. If not to far out of the direction we would like to see Marseille and Nice and Monte Carlo. But if that is a route that takes much more time then we would like to go straight to Italy. But if I use the app interrail app I get incredibly long train times, either from Lyon or from Nice. Is that correct? What is the fastest route to get to Italy? If going through Lyon/Marseille/Nice takes so long, then maybe it's better to go from Paris straight to Italy? Or maybe a sleeping train? I can’t see how I can find this in the interrail app.  I hope someone can give me advice on this.And them in Italy we want to see: Milan, Venice, Rome, Toscane and maybe Florence.

Bonjour !  j’ai prévu un voyage interrail pour environ 16 destinations sur 2 mois avec donc le pass interrail 15 jours pour deux mois. Pouvons nous prendre autant de train que nous voulons sur une journée ? Par exemple pour un trajet Amsterdam - Berlin, quand il y a un changement ? Ou cela est compté comme deux voyages distincts et je perds donc du temps à utiliser sur mon billet ? 

I am organzing a group trip for 5 where two people are starting starting before three of us and then heading out earlier.Two will be traveling from Ediburgh to London. Then all five of us are traveling London to Paris. Then Paris to Slazburg. After 5 days we will all be traveling to Interlaken. After 5 days the same two will be traveling to Geneva. Three days later the other three of us are traveling to Zurich.What is the easiest way to be able to make the reservations for when all fice of us are traveling togther? It sounds like people have had trouble with that. Should I purchase all the passes so I can book the group travel? If so how easy will it be for the two that are traveling (partly) separately to make thier own reservations?And should we go with the electronic passes or the paper passes?I arranged travel for a group about 5 years ago but they were moslty minors and I went through Swiss Travel Centre so I did not make the reservations myself. Any help would be greatly apprecia
