Our plan by train are follows 1) London to Paris 2) Paris to Basel then Lucerne 3) Basel to Cologne Germany 4) Cologne Germany to Amsterdam 5) Amsterdam to Brussels 6) Brussels back to London I believe as a non Europeans we would need to purchase the Eurail Global Pass right?Does the Eurail Global Pass covers all the cities mentioned above?Kindly adviceThanks
I have to reserve seats on a train starting from Munchen hbf to Innsbruck, have a 1-2 hours stay at Innsbruck (for slight sight seeing), and then finally move to Milano Centrale, on 7th July (morning). So just wanted to confirm,- if I only needed to select the 'seat reservation (no ticket)' option for buying the mandatory seat reservation from Innsbruck to Verona?- is there a better option for covering my route?
Hello, i had to cancell my pass because i coulnd't find train reservations. I only manegd to book one reservation, that i had to pay for in addition to the pass. This reservation cannot be refund. My question is, can i use the train ticket i pad for, after i canceled my pass? Thanks
Hi everyone, My friend and I have a small problem and are wondering if you guys can help. We both live in the middle of Germany and therefore need to change trains in order to leave the country and to come back. Is that possible to change trains in our own country ? For example, we live in Halle Saale and we need to go to Munich before we can leave the country to Vienna is that even possible with Interrail? Can we use one of our travel days for that? Can someone please explain that to us? Thanks so much isa xx
Hi all, I am planning to Intrerrail for a month in Europe and I have few questions that has kept me confused therefore coming to you for help. I am a Non-national resident of UK, have been granted a refugee status in the UK and have travel document. I am planning to go to Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Only Austria that I need visa for. My questions are: Should I get a Interail or Eurail pass as a resident of UK? Does UK still count as Europe for Interail? If not, will Global pass give me access to travel from London to Europe and then back? If you have a travel document and have visited to these countries, please feel free to share your experience with the interail etc. Looking forward to hear and thanks so much in advance! A
Hello, I have the France-Germany friendship One Country Pass Interrail Ticket (7 days pass).I plan to visit Munich and I’m wondering if it’s possible to also travel to Austria (to Innsbruck) with this pass as one day of travel ?Also, will the Germany pass still be available when I come back to Munich (In my trip, it will be the 6th of 7th journey). Moreover, will I still be able to use the last day of my trip to my outbound journey to France (to Paris) ? Thank you in advance for your answers.Vincent
Hello,I have purchased a Eurail Global Mobile Pass (5 Days) flex through Rail Europe to use for travel in September & October.I have reserved seats for travel in Switzerland and into France, entered them in the My Trip section of the Rail Planner app. When I log onto the eurail site on my Macbook (easier to use at home) it tells me I have no trips planned. I guess they don’t “talk” to each other? If I enter the same trip on my Macbook will it cause complications on the Rail Planner App?Also when I go to the Bahn site (for example) I can find a way from Strasbourg to Bregenz to reserve seats but I cannot find how to avoid paying the full fare when just wanting to reserve seats? This is all new to me so I apologise for asking questions which must seem quite basic - I have looked through the linked help articles but perhaps I’ve missed something? Frankly after several days of trying to sort the process out I’m at the point of asking for a partial refund and just booking direct. So many ot
Hi everyone, I’m a swiss person planning to travel around from Basel, as I live here. I know that Badischer Bahnhof counts as Germany, which is very useful. I know that Basel SBB is also on the french boarder, but unfortunately in the app there is no option to pick SBB (France). Do you know if that still works, let’s say I travel from Basel SBB to Barcelona? Or would it be helpful to just pick a trip from St.Louis to Barcelona and pay the first little bit? Thanks for your help!
Dear fellow travelers,As a student from Stuttgart, I'm excited to be embarking on my first backpacking adventure using a Eurail Pass. However, I could use some help with a bit of confusion about the reservation process for the Bernina Express.I've added Chur to Tirano on my pass, and the Eurail website shows that I'm ready to board and can buy a seat reservation if I like, but it's not required. On the other hand, the Bernina Express website states that a seat reservation and public transport ticket are necessary for a fee, which can be purchased up to two months before the travel date. The tickets are not linked to the seat reservation and can be used independently. Now, here's where it gets tricky. Reservations for the day are completely booked, and I'm not sure whether to try and book a reservation or enjoy the journey without one. I've attached pictures of the Eurail and Bernina Express websites for your reference. As seasoned travelers, I'm hoping you can share your experiences and
Hello. I have the 4 days in 1 month global eurorail pass. I understand travel days must be selected on the pass prior to midnight of that day. I already have the travel day I know I will be travelling by train selected, however I am unsure of which train that day I will be taking, none of them require seat reservations. Am I able to select and add a journey on that day to my pass the day of the trip, or does it need to be in advance like adding travel days?Thank you.
Just for information - it turns out that while vy.no have cool new recliner seat/beds on their sleepers they are not included in the Interrail scheme so you have to book them at full price. With a 1st class pass at least - you can book a sleeper for 1000 NOK as a flat fee. this is good value. Or you can book a seat for free. Also good value, if not optimal for an overnight journey. On the leg that I wanted to book today there were no sleepers left so I asked about the lie-flat beds and the price would have been 1,949 NOK as they are not included in the scheme.I reckon this is probably just because the agreement hasn’t been updated as it makes no sense for 2 classes of travel to be bookable, but the 3rd one to be not bookable.
Hey all,As I understand, we have 2 inbound/outbound trips from our home country. However, in the Rail Planner app, I see that I have 3 days available. (I used 1 outbound journey and it shows 1/3)Has it been increased to 3, or is it a bug with the app? Thanks in advance!
Do i need a pass for my 14 year old daughter as we mainly travel tgrough Germany? She would normaly travel for free when accompanied by an adult, but does that also aply, when i have an interrail card?No use bying her a card for som €200,- while she could travel for free.
Hello, we are on our way from Duisburg to Berlin on a ICE train (with seat reservations). We have a interrail global pass 1st class. Just now the ticketinspector told us this ticket is not valid on ICE products but only IC and lower class products. we traveled before by ICE train and never had any problem. Is it true interrail is not valid?kind regards, Robin Cremers
