Hi, I'm currently in Tirano and I want to travel back to Utrecht, by using 2-3 travel days. Any tips? I now Milano would be an option, but I prefer to go to another place. All advice would be very helpful.I'm mainly looking for train rides with not too many transfers and not too expensive seat reservations, and I prefer not to go via Switzerland, since I just left Switzerland. Hallo zusammen,​ich möchte hier mal meine Erfahrungen mit dem Interrail Global-Pass teilen. Ich habe das Ticket zum Glück bei einem Wettbewerb gewonnen. Das war mein großes Glück, denn so musste ich „nur“ die Hotels bezahlen. Hätte ich den vollen Preis für das Ticket auch noch selbst bezahlt, wäre ich über die fehlende Flexibilität und die unlogischen Regeln extrem wütend gewesen.​Das Problem mit der aktuellen Regel:Mein ursprünglicher Plan war eine große Europa-Tour: Von Biessenhofen nach Wien, dann kurz zurück nach Hause (Wäsche waschen, ausruhen), dann weiter nach Frankreich und später nach Spanien. Aber das ist mit dem Global-Pass verboten, weil man im eigenen Land nur zweimal fahren darf (einmal raus, einmal rein).​Besonders für mich ist das eine große Barriere: Ich habe eine Behinderung und kann nicht viele Wochen am Stück alleine unterwegs sein. I have reserved tickets in a renfe station for train 09366(Cordoba to Ronda 10.16am). I cannot see this on the interrail app, but the man said it would be fine with interrail. What I don't understand is, if I cannot save the journey to my trip, how I can show my interrail pass at the gate?

Are hostels a good option for traveling with my family (my husband and three kids)?I’ve been searching on Airbnb and Booking, and I just came across the hostel option. I’m not sure if hostels are suitable for families—what do you think?

Bonjour, Je tiens d'abord à vous remercier pour les précédentes réponses reçues.Je voudrais juste faire un récapitulatif de ce que j'ai compris sur le fonctionnement du pass interrail histoire de ne pas recevoir d'amendes bêtement.J'habite à Grenoble et j'ai reçu le pass gratuit pour aller en Allemagne pendant une semaine. 1. Concernant le fonctionnement du pass, si j'ai bien compris, il faut juste aller sur l'application Rail planner, lier le pass reçu, créer un voyage, et y lier les trajets de train que l'on va effectuer. Lors du trajet, on doit juste montrer notre pass au contrôleur.Pour aller à Berlin, il faut passer par Pari, il faut payer des frais de réservation TGV de 12 € (ou 10€ en gare).2. Si je passe par la gare, il faut que j'aille au guichet pour demander une réservation liée à mon pass. Ils me passent un billet ou c'est lié au pass directement ? Hello, I want to go from France to Sweden in one day. Its a long trip and i cant calculate to many time in between. Because I need to catch the Euronight to Stockholm in Hamburg. If i miss it i would need a new travel day, but i dont have any travel days left. So would my Interrail pass still be valid the next day of I miss the connection with the Night train in Hamburg? (Even if I am changing train company from DB to SJ)? Thanks for your help,Katharina

I am planning a 5 week trip round Europe and part of that plan is to go from Vienna- Venice- Naples - Rome- Genoa- Nice- Milan. looking at a Interrail map, this looks possible but when i search for the train times there comes up with no options.  Help please!!

Goodmorning! I have book on the OBB a ticket for the NJ 294 from Bologna to Munchen on the 8 of August, but the same train is not showing on the RailPlanner App. Do you have some suggestion? Also, even the train from Rome to Bologna on the same day is not showing on the app.

I am looking to travel from Ljubljana to Split in July, I have the ticket on the Eurail app but when I try to reserve a seat it says that “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”  and that I can’t get on the train without a reservation for any of the times/days. I have tried looking on other websites to make the reservation but none are coming up. Any ideas on how to look into it? Reservations only opened up yesterday and I need to get that train as my flight back home is from Split.

Good Morning! I am traveling to Switzerland with 2 friends this summer, and have purchased the Swiss Youth Pass. We will be visiting Zurich each day, but one of the routes from our location includes going via Basel, and taking the TGV, would this be covered. Additionally at the end of our time in Zurich, we will be heading to Friedrichafen, from Bad Sackingen. We will have the 49 euro deutchlander ticket, so will this cover us for the journeys, as we are taking DB services? Many Thanks

Hey:)I've just bought a relatively large (60+10 liters) backpack for traveling. When I got home, I noticed that I can only get into the large compartment from the top. And I can't open it at the front like a travel bag.What do you think? I've never traveled with a backpack before? Is that a disadvantage? Should I exchange it?

Hi there! I’m a little lost at the moment. I try to get a reservation for a couchette to get from Utrecht Central to Basel SBB on 25-07-2025 departure time 20.47, arrival time 06.20. I can literally see on OBB that there are tickets available, but I don’t have a credit card and therefore am unable to pay. Is there any other way to get such a reservation? I’ve tried with NS international, but as far I can see, you can’t add an interrail card as a discountcard.

I have purchased a Eurail pass for me and a friend. We’re heading to Amsterdam on April 27 and visiting seven countries going by train. I’ve taken many trains in Europe including this year but I’ve always bought regular tickets. This is my first pass and I’m confused even after reading the entire website. 1.) I have created seven “trips” in Rail Planner. I’ve successfully made a few reservations but some of the trips that say reservations recommended I’ve tried numerous times to make and I get an error message. How do I know if these trains are available? And for trips with several legs I get messages that say some of the parts of the journey can’t be made. 2.) Second question: for trains where reservations aren’t necessary how does one know what car to get on and what seats may already be reserved by others before we sit down? 3.) Finally some of the legs have very short transfers like 7-9 minutes! Is it possible to make these connections? We’re in our sixties and not marathon runners
