Get ready to travel

Hi, i wondered if anyone could help me. The interail website is showing availabiltiy a 6 berth couchette on the 8th of August from Zurich to Zagreb. It allows me to add it to my basket and proceed to payment, but as soon as I click confirm it tells me that the journey is no longer available. But when i go back to search it still shows as available. Does anyone have an insight as to why this might be happening and whether the journey is actually available.Thank you

Hello there! Can someone please help me with this trip?I’m trying to get a train on 13th august at 23h51 from Ljubliana to Venezia Mestre, but the tickets from Ljubliana to Villach HBF (is necessary to stop here to go to Venezia) doesn’t show up. That means they are sold out? Is it possible to book on the day at the station?Here if I seach Ljubliana to Venezia Mestre:Here if I search only Ljubliana to Villach HBF:I’m searching on OBB website. Do you know if exists other train company that makes this trip? If I search this trip on interrail website shows me this:

I bought a continuous pass during the sale a few weeks ago and am planning on using it next month. However, I have trouble with my account(s).I made reservations on the website, but after activating the mobile pass in the app, I do not see those reservations in the app.I do not see the trip I made on the website in the app, nor do I see the trip I made in the app on the website.It seems like they are two separate accounts even though both are connected to the same pass. Edit: How do you use interrail? The feeling I get now is that where possible you can use the QR code from the pass in the app, but for some trains you need to make reservations, and then you need to use the tickets you get in your mail, and not the QR code in the app. Is this correct? 

Hello,It is my first Eurail trip, and I travel with a friend. We have planned to take a High speed train the 24/07 at 6h55 with the pass (ICE 9571). However, since I have activated my pass in may, i cannot make any seat reservation on this specific trip (all of the other reservations have been done normally). I thought that it was because we could only reserve few days before the travel on this train. Yet, it is still not possible and I start to worry (knowing I have to take it in 4 days), wether I will be able to start my trip with my friends or not.I have seen that some people were provided a pass cover number, like a miracle solution. Therefore how does it work, and how can I obtain one ?Best regardsMichel

Hello, quick question to confirm that I am understanding this correctly.  I should be able to book reservations for our Eurail/Interail tickets, Barcelona to Cadiz, return on Deutscha Bahn by ringing them?  

Is there a refund available for a Global Pass if, due to unforeseen circumstances, one is unable to use the pass ?   If I call to clarify ticket issuance, will someone there speak English ? Thank you,Joy Harper

Hi everyone,  Does anyone know if the ÖBB (railjet) reservations for interrail pass holders are limited the same way for instance Eurostar reservations are? Can I just book a reservation on the ÖBB main homepage or am I bound to the interrail website? Background: For some reason booking a seat doesn't work with the interrail website, I wpuld have to book it at a ticket machine of the departure station. I am only in said city for a shortish transfer time and don't particularly fancy stranding there in the middle of this extreme heatwave. Depending on my chances of not being taken on board I would want to readjust my travel plans. Thanks for your help! Edit: Sorry for the "??" in the title, that was lazy editing. I am going on interrail this summer with a friend and we have serious problems with reservations! First my friend and I do not have the same timetables in our app and then the reservations are impossible to make at any date in poland, they say that they are fully booked at any date or time.

1. Why do I get notifications like "tomorrow is a travel day but you haven't added anything yet" while I have added all my reservations?2. Why is the flag of Monaco not shown in the statistics?Anyone who knows? Thanks in advance. 

My wife & I are on a train now travelling between Como, Italy & Basel, Switzerland.  We bought reservations because they were required for this train, or so we thought. The aisle in our car is packed with people standing up.  There is no way to get up to go to the WC, etc.  I was under the impression that you had to get a reservation even to get on the train.  Since one of my future reservations for train travel never arrived in the mail, I figured I would not be able to get on the high-speed train and would have to book a slower train that would delay my arrival for 4 hours. Now that I see that these  people are allowed to stand up for duration of the trip without reservations, I was thinking of doing the same for my trip between Narbonne, France & Barcelona Spain, since the reservation I bought never arrived. Finally, my question ... .  Are passengers with tickets and no reservations generally allowed to stand in the aisles for the duration of their trip even though re

We travel with a global pass. We travel with our Identity card but we entred the number of our passport in our mobile pass. What can we do now? 

Bonjour, Pourquoi certains trains sont indiqués comme non disponible avec le pass. Comment cela se passe t il alors , si l on se passe du site railplanner, qui ne fonctionne pas comme tout le monde le sait...,et que nous choisissons n importe quel train sur un site quelconque, tcheque, polonais, italien ou autre et que justement cette restriction ne soit pas signalée. Risquons nous une amende alors ?Merci

Good afternoon guys, I am trying to understand the Eurail Global Pass. (New to Europe). Hope you guys can help.So it would be a family of 11 persons. 3 adults, 2 seniors, 4 youths, 1 child, 1 infant. ( I realized the child and infant are free). Travel Dates 27th December 2022- 14th January (thats the time we have allotted for going to the different cities).Cities we have in mind( bare in mind we will be based in London so at of the week we will return to London): 1st Week: Amsterdam, Brussels & Luxembourg then back to London 2nd Week: Paris, Switzerland & Italy then back to LondonMy questions are:Travel Day; Can we use “one travel day” to Brussels and then lets say Antwerp on the same day as long as its before 11:59pm?  Seeing that it is 11 of us, do we have to reserve seats for any of those routes?  Is it possible to have all 9 passes on one device?

Quick question - we are travelling from Paris to Caen on Friday 5th August and are, so far, unable to book online as there are no reservations remaining.  According to the Eurail advice, we can buy the tickets at the station.  Will these be at our Eurail/Interail discount or will we be paying full price?

At the eurail website they say I have to change trains 1x. On the Austrian train connection website they say I have to change trains 2x. Which one is right?My journey will be from Zurich to Ljubljana and will definately make 1x stop in Schwarzach St. Veit (Austria).

Hi everyone :) I want to book a Seat reservation for the train from Frankfurt HBF to Paris Est since it is mandotory. However, neither in the interrail nor the DB website is it possible to book it. I am currently in Kopenhagen so i can't go to a ticket machine and try it there. I do have to take this train so i dont know what to do. Anybody got some suggestions? :)

Hello,The questions below refer to the seat reservation in the interrail portal. Assume traject Hamburg-Stockholm August 4 departure 10:53, Stockholm-Kiruna august 5 departure 18:11)1.Whenever I make a reservation in interrail portal that combines several legs from different train operators all involving reservations: do either all of them succeed or all of them fail, or either some of them succeed (and I am charged for) and some not?2. In the case that the there are several trips, (e.g. Hamburg-Stockholm on august 4, and Stockholm-Kiruna on 5th), each trip added separately in the cart, do all of them success, or in could be that some of them succeed and some others do not?

I am using a mobile app and have booked seat reservations for all the journeys that the app required them for a couple of months ago. The app has no way of allowing me to book a reservation from Hamburg to Copenhagen, but I wanted to book one for ease of mind, but it just says a seat reservation is not required. However, when I use the interrail website, it says that I must book a reservation but will not allow me to do so. I cannot seem to do it through DB or DSB either. Do you know how I might be able to book one? Many thanks

I am a solo traveler from South Africa. Since I don't care for sharing tables and seat arrangements with strangers I bought a 1st class Eurail pass. All works fine for booking seat reservations with EC and ÖBB trains. But unfortunately the bulk of my travel is in Italy and I was hoping to book Frecciarossa seats between Venice, Florance, Rome and Napels. Unfortunately none of these trains are being listed post 18 September 2022 on either Eurail app or ÖBB sites. I was informed it best to make Frecciarossa seat reservation via ÖBB. But nothing yet available. Although you can buy tickets and seats on TrenItalia and many other sites that does not support Eurail. It is such a dissspointment to see prime seats on selected 1st class journeys dissapear 1 by 1 as I am unable to make any seat reservation post 18 September. My travel dates for these journeys are 29 Sept, 1 October, 6 October. Seems like I will have to just bear and grin while sharing seat arrangements with total strangers. A

Dear Community,I’ve had so many issues with my interrail tickets over the past few days. I had urgent questions as my tickets didn’t arrive in time (or got lost), and they do not have a contact number…..why not? I lost a lot of money and wasn’t even able to travel with my pass. I sent several emails to the customer service of interrail and they do not respond to me. Also on twitter they haven’t been answering. Can someone help me with this? Did people have the same issues? Did people manage to get a refund for their passes and additional reservation costs?I am disappointed and desperate. With the same pass I have a trip planned for this Friday (already paid for the high speed trains), and I desperately need them to answer to me, otherwise my global pass will be completely unused:(Help me! 

I’m planning to travel from Prague to Budapest next month via night train and have made a reservation for a sleeper cabin.I’ve got my paper ticket through the post and it says ‘Gentleman T3’ for the cabin - I’m a female traveller and I read online that sleeper cabins were all female or all male? Does anyone know if this is meant to be the case and my ticket is a mistake?Thanks! 

Hi, I made a seat reservation on May 31th Order ID R2022188767. I paid 52 US dollars with the post delivered included, but today the paper reservations hasn´t arrived yet. They send the paper reservation via PostNL but the tracking guide doesn´t updated since 10th of June. I tried to contact support two times but Eurail always answer “We will try to get back to you within 2 days” and never answer with a solution.My travel is in 20 days and i need to have the reservation. Hi. I’m trying to book my reservation for the night train from Budapest to Bucuresti in August. When I try to book it in the ieurail site it shows me only reservation for couchettes of 4 or 6. I’d like to book a double sleeper but i can’t find it also if in the train company site there are. Do you know if is possibile to book it online or i have to go to Budapest station? I have a mobile pass, is it a problem? Thank you!

I'm going from Venice (S. Lucia) to Vienna on the Obb nightjet, but accidentally only reserved from Venice (Mestre) because that was the default that came up in the reservation tool and i didn't realise where the different stations were. Can i get on the train at S. Lucia anyway, or do i need to book an additional reservation for that portion (or go on an earlier S. Lucia to Mestre train that doesn't need a reservation)? I've got quite a few bags so would ideally like to avoid an extra change, but also baulk at paying what looks like 16 euros for a reservation for the S. Lucia to Mestre portion of the journey! 

Hey all!I'm having some problems to make 3 reservations for a 6 sleeping cabin on the night train from Budapest to Bucuresti. The train I’m wanting to reserve leaves Budapest at 19.10 on the 14th of august and arrives at 11.59 on the 15th of august in Bucharest. Is there a way to make this reservation without the need of a paper ticket, since I am already on my way.Thanks!Kasper
