Dear Eurail Experienced Users,We are as 2 adults + 2kids are planning to visit Paris Disneyland and than travel to Switzerland in the beginning of early November. This is the first time when are going to use trains across Europe and we want to make sure that our plan is valid and will not bring any issues.The plan is to purchase 2 day one country Eurail pass for France and Swiss Pass to cover all our movements across Switzerland:5th of November move from Marne de Vile (Disneyland) to Lyon for short day visit. Same day we will take train from Lyon to Geneva. Then we are going to spend 5 days in Switzerland .12th of November travel from Zurich to Paris to take our flight back home.We did a math and looks like that purchasing Eurail France one country pass is cheaper than buying individual tickets as we didn’t book anything in advance. But the question is - will Eurail pass +Swiss Pass two together cover our train movements from Lyon to Geneva and from Zurich to Paris? If yes, how the pro

I wasn’t aware of how limited the seats were and did not book the reservation. I tried to book today for this Sunday 29th but was surprised to find out it was full. I need to get back to London to fly back home. I am very desperate, can someone please provide me any suggestions? Will they take any foot passengers? or anyone please suggest alternative routes to get me to london by the latest the 31st? 

My husband and I, along with 2 of our friends are planning a trip to Italy and other countries in December. Our route would look like this:Venice- ViennaVienna- Salzburg (round trip)Vienna- BudapestBudapest- PraguePrague- Rome (considering an overnight train)I was wondering if it makes sense to take a Eurail pass or book single point to point tickets? Also would my pass be valid on any and every train that goes between these countries. Would appreciate suggestions on the above, since in some instances I am still not able to see a timetable which makes buying tickets impossible this early on.

 Hi, looking at a separate trip to visit Belgium in mid August 2024. I will be travelling from Bern and want to visit Luxembourg as well before returning to Bern.How long do you recommend for this trip? The Eurail map does not show any connections to Luxembourg- any tips or ways to get here would be appreciated and to know if this would be covered with the Eurail pass? Can you visit Antwerp and Ghent, Belgium with the Eurail pass? Is it best by bus or train and is it covered by Eurail? Any other cities or places to visit around/between Bern and Brussels would be appreciated.Thank you!

We are trying to go from Salzburg Hbf (Austria) to Heidelberg Hbf (Germany) on November 25th, using our multi-day Eurail passes; I was looking through the costs of buying reservations because someone mentioned it is nice to have so you have a guaranteed seat, and then I noticed our original planned train (nonstop leaving at 2pm) wasn't showing up anymore on my app; I then updated the app and searched that route again and that train was no longer listed, I am guessing it was cancelled? Anyway, now I am getting super paranoid about our train rides because I guess as this is the low season, they occasionally cancel trains? I have never had this happen before, but maybe because I would just book trains right before leaving.Anyway, sorry for the long question, but I found a new train showing up on my Eurail app from Salzburg to Heidelberg (13:00-17:34; 13:00 Salzburg to Muenchen Hbf on RJX 60, 14:28 Meunchen to Mannheim, ICE 914, and then 17:23 Mannheim to Heidelberg on IC 2046).Are you see

Hi, could anyone tell me if eurail pass covers train ride from Mannheim to Heidelberg? Is it considered as an intercity ride?

Advice on route planning- suggestions and help please!Hi would love some information on the best route to go from Bern through North Italy then down the South of France coast. Nice is a must and would love to go to Andorra but cannot find any information around public transport/Eurail to their. Would then consider going to Barcelona before heading back to Bern.Would love some suggestions and advice around:Are all trains included? How to get to Andorra?  Is 2 weeks too short to complete this? Planning on staying in Nice for several days and doing day trips- would these be covered with the pass? Will I need to reserve for these trains?Thanks

Hello,I’m very confused.I bought a UK One Country Pass and successfully made seat reservations for the Eurostar. Now I read on several websites only a Global Pass can travel with Eurostar. Should I worry? Will the train attendant check my pass and make me pay the full price for the ride, even when I successfully made a reservation with the pass? Also confused about the possibility of swapping to a Global Pass → is this even possible with a booked reservation linked to my current pass? Many thanks for the help, quite panicking right now 😅   

Is it possible to do different trips (use different tickets) on one travel day? So I would like to use only one of my travel days but use different tickets (so maybe get out in a city for a few hours and then continue… Is this possible? or does this count then as another travel day even if its  the same day? 

Hi all, Feeling a bit frustrated here. I’ve been trying to get trains tickets for after Dec 10th. Apparently the times were just downloaded yesterday. I was only able to get one purchase through. All of the rest are not going through. Getting error message with no explanation. Try later… Is this normal? This platform is not overly user friendly, Thanks for any advice. 

I am traveling with my 17 year old son 7th - London to Paris anytime after 5pm 10th - Paris to London 17th - Vienna to Prague 20th - Prague to Berlin 25th - Berlin to Amsterdam 27th - Day trip to Brussles (and burges or that on another day, not sure what is practical) Depart Amstardam on 1st Jan. - nothing to be booked.  I am also looking for suggestions of modes of transport to purchase within the cities please. 

I just want to Start  my Next Trip from Milano to Basel. As I have no InternetConnection in Switzerland, I habe connected also the trip von Basel to Essen, which is my last one. Now my Ticket is no longer visablr. And I do not find a  possibility to contect interrail.  Kerstin 

I'm new to interrailing but am planning to interrail in August 2024 with the first leg of my trip being from London to Paris on the Eurostar on 2nd August.  This will obviously be a very busy booking period due to the Olympics.  Does anyone have any tips for booking please?  It is all totally new to me.  Thanks!

Planning to go away with one adult and one senior with 3 children aged 4-11Can get two free child passes with one adult but don't seem to be able to get the third child pass with the senior one?Can the senior person just get an adult pass instead or does their age not allow this?

Hi!My fiancé and I are wanting to travel from London to Strasbourg on December 26 2023.From what I can see, there will be a reduced timetable for this day. Are we better off changing our trip to avoid travelling on this day?

I am terribly confused by the eurail website. I expected to be able to put in a start location and a destination and it would show me all options of how to get to my destination including stops. Instead it just shows a map with a straight line which is not part of the rail routes. I expected it to be like google maps which shows exact route or even better, like San Francisco CA MUNI which shows you every form of transportation including length of time to get to your destination. Can someone please tell me if this feature exists and if so, where do I find it on the Eurail website? Or if you can recommend a better way to try to plan a 10 trip in France and Spain next summer. Hi there, My name is Tom and i’m thinking about interrailing next Spring. I just wondered what people’s idea is on hostels? Should i book these in advance for each city?My route will be London-Amsterdam-Prague-Vienna-Rome-Paris-London.I thought it would be a good idea to book the hostel in Amsterdam, but then i might decide to spend an extra day in Prague. If i do it would change my plan, not the end of the world but not great.Or would it be easier to pay for them whilst i am on the trip? If i do a bit of planning before i go i can work out where to stay.Any opinions?Tom

Starting 9 October, we will be in Slovenia for roughly 10-12 days and then from there will begin using our pass (let's say 20/21st of October). The pass that we are looking at is the 10 days in 2-month pass (Eurail).The countries that we would like to visit (and in order) are Italy, Spain, France*, Netherlands, Germany,  Czechia, Poland*, Hungary*, and Slovenia/Croatia. We return to Slovenia as our flights are from Zagreb, Croatia. Le problème est que je suis actuellement en Allemagne et j'aimerai l'utiliser pour faire UN aller retour vers la France.
