Hello, I am preparing for my first Interrail trip and I have troubles with reservations… I need to make a reservation for a train that goes from Barcelona to Seville, but I can't do it online. I called at Refe and they told me that I can make the reservation 3 days before, but I have to be at the desk in Barcelona 24 hrs before the embarking and pay my reservation… Unfortunately that is impossible because I want to arrive and leave in the same day (I want to reach Portugal).Moreover, they told me I can use my pass in Spain only One time. And this is not cool because I need to also get back through Spain…Did somebody have this experience of going through Spain? Is it true what Renfe told me?Is there any possibility of making and paying my reservation- from another country maybe?

Hello, I have to book a train that says that seat reservations are required. The train i need is very expensive or there are no more seats available. I already have the eurorail pass and i know that there are some trains that is posible to get on without having a reservation and sit on the floor if there are no more seats. My question is: is it posible to get on a train that says seat reservations are required without actually buying the reservation?

I want to do a trip with a friend together. We have both seperated tickets, when I try to connect them there comes this“Sorry, this is not possibleDifferent passport requirements apply to this traveller, so we cannot add them to your journey. You must book separate seat reservations”why? and how can we book reservations togehter?

Hey as in the title above i have a permanent resident permit in Italy and iam Tunisian my question is do i need to travel with my passport inside of Europe ( in case of a control) or my italian id, residence permit and  passport copy is enough because i fear losing my own passport

I am on the 11.20am EC 52 from Milan to Frankfurt today I did not make a seat reservation and sat in a seat that stated it was available The train conductor ( who was very rude) has just charged me €23 euros saying I had to pay this or else I would be thrown off the train at the next station!I am a 54 year old interailer ( teacher ) in first class and I think this is just a money making exercise by TrentaliaFirst class on this train is also very poor compared to other countries trains.Is this correct that this payment is mandatory?In my opinion the cost of seat reservations spoils the whole Interail experience as it increases the cost massively

hello everybody! i have a 2nd class youth interrail pass, but the woman at renfe (spain train organization) sold me a seat reservation for first class for a train from spain to france bc the rest was sold out (even though she knew that i had a 2nd class pass). on the seat reservation are 2 qr codes and it says ticket+reservation. now i am confused if i am allowed to go on this train or not, can you help me?

I go with the train fron bordueax to lille, and need to go with the metro in paris, is the metro include in the eurail pass? Thanks Tsafi

Hey Interrail community,I’m travelling with a mobile Global Pass with my family with residence in Germany. We started our journey in Berlin at 9pm with an overnight train to Offenburg (border with France) arriving the following day at 6am and from there change to a TGV to Paris at 7am. As expected this consumed two travel days. What it was unexpected is that this consumed both out-/inbound days in all our tickets.My return journey is with the same overnight train in Germany (already reserved). Asking the personnel in the train and train stations they all coincided this is not correct. They gave me some tips for the next time, to split the trip (my second trip starting in Strasbourg across the border, instead of Offenburg) or indicate the first outbound train in the app starting the next day.To fix our current situation they suggested to contact Interrail’s service center, but since this is hard to reach, here I am 😀. But I’d like that a bit better defined for my case … specifically, we live in Manchester, so can we, in one day take these trips outbound:Manchester → London (on Avanti); andLondon → BrusselsWe’ve read ‘one outbound trip’ as one overall journey not as one single ticketSo, can we outbound Manchester → Brussels, one Avanti, one Eurostar in one day as our outbound trip?

Hi, I was just trying to find a ferry route between Italy and Greece on one of the Superfast Ferries, but in the booking process there are only discount boxes for Greece Island Pass holders.Where can I find the discount for the global passes? Thank you very much for your answer 

Hi there,I am trying to book a direct train from Amsterdam to London using the Eurail pass. I can see that the train stops at Rotterdam Centraal and has a half hour gap between the IC train and the Eurostar train. My concern is at the Boarding Time section, it says that check in closes at Rotterdam 30mins before the train leaves, and says to make sure you have 45-60mins for security and passport control. On the Eurail website it says there is 35mins in between but the IC arrives at 4:36PM and Eurostar leaves at 5:28PM, which is actually around 60mins. Is anyone able to explain and clarify whether it is 35mins or if it is 60mins (allowing for the passport check and all)?I have attached a screenshot of the times below. 

Hello! My phone and luggage were stolen today on an overnight train from Amsterdam Centraal to Basel Switzerland. Just wondering how anyone has gone about this, did the train company look at camera footage? They said they couldn’t do anything, it happens all the time, to file a police report.

Anyone here who also took this route during the construction in Innsbruck, which leads to replacement busses between Innsbruck and Brenner? How was your experience, did it work well? Does the train in Brenner wait for the busses? Thank you a lot!

I am Italian, and I'm traveling from Verona to Munich with a German pass, since there are construction works on the rail system at the border, I will need to take a substitute bus to go from Trento to Innsbruck. when I try to activate my trip it says that part of it is not included in the pass, while the bus is operated by OBB and it is, infact just a substitution of the usual Eurocity. as a result my trip is active only from Innsbruck.anyone had the same issue? How should I do?

This is serious. Here is the message I constantly receive when trying to reset my password (either one I choose or one automatically generated by Firefox.  My own suggested passwords are judged “weak,” something I believe not to be justified.I attach a screenshot of the message I repeatedly receive. 

Hi, My wife and I want to take TGV from Lausanne, Swiss to Paris Gare de Lyon. We already have a eurail pass (activated), and we follow the instruction to add traveler into the”trip”. The problem is that when if we book the seat reservation for each person, the price is EUR 41 (first class). but if we want to book seat reservations together to make sure we can seat aside, the price will become EUR 160. this is not reasonable to me. Is there any advice for us?We hope we can buy the normal price and seat together.thanks a lot.

Hi, I want to take a night train from Krakow to Prague on IC407 and I intend to make a seat reservation first.  On the eurail app, it says that there is 1 transfer (IC407+ LE1248), but on the CD app, 0 transfer is needed so I can just take IC407.  Can someone please kindly tell me which one is the correct train journey?   

I want to take this train. Are there seats available? Can I make the reservation at the Bucuresti Nord station? What would you recommend seats, sleeper...?

On the Southeastern website, it seems quite clear that you need to buy a supplement for their high speed trains:You can buy a supplement and upgrade to high speed services if you have:A valid ticket or Season Ticket for any Southeastern service into LondonHowever, this isn't mentioned in the rail planner app, the seat reservations page, the country page or the supplements page.Am I correct in thinking that this information is missing in all these places? Or is there somehow an exception for pass holders that isn't mentioned on Southeastern website?

we are travelling today and daughters pass not activated as it didn’t work yesterday.

I’ve got 4 global passes on my phone and we will be traveling in September.  I have set up almost all our trips on the RP but I have not activated our passes because I’m nervous about accidentally starting the clock too soon.  But, I’m worried because when I look at the journeys in My Trip, I don’t see the toggle switch that is frequently referred to.  Will that appear on each journey once I activate our passes?Probably a dumb question, but my nerves will really appreciate any answers from the community on this.Thanks much,John

I have a Eurail Global Pass and I’m trying to go from Barcelona to Paris on 8 August. The Rail Planner won’t let me reserve a ticket, but it says that ticket reservation is mandatory. I talked to every person I could at the Barcelona Sants station and they all said they wouldn’t deal with international trips. None of the websites I can find work either. I’ve been struggling with this all day trying every option I can. 

Hi, we are a group of 6 ladies (50+) planning our European adventure and trying to decipher the rail ticketing system.Our itinerary is Amsterdam - Bruges - Paris - Strasbourg - Chur (Bernini Express) - Milan (via Tirano) - Venice.We will have a set itinerary.Looking at April/May 2024.I am so confused by all I have read with the pro’s & cons of Eurail passes versus individual tickets.Some of our concerns are limited reservations available, difficulty in booking, getting seats together etcAny advice would be gratefully received.Thank you in advance.
