Need to get to Chamonix and all routes are taking me through Switzerland. Is this covered on my France eurail pass? If not, do I just need to buy a ticket for the portions of the trip that aren’t covered? 

hello, I am from Canada, and I am planning a trip to Germany this October. Is covid pass still required to enter Europe? Do I need to wear my mask in train? Are we allowed to bring our own snack, and eat in long distance train? Should I get the who covid pass? 

I heard I could travel to multiple destinations in a day with eurail pass. So my question is, how do I activate my ticket for that occasion? Also how would that look if I had to reserve seat for those trips?  I am planning on trip leaving from koblenz to trier, then back to koblenz within a day.So in this case, with eurail, is there a day pass ticket where I just activate it, and I am good for that day, or would I have to activate ticket going from koblenz to trier, and activate another ticket for the return trip back to koblenz?   

Hey trying to book Seat reservations through italy and france so that my trip doesnt take 24 hours, but when giving the passwordet information, my physical pass cover number doesnt work. Help!!!

There’s going to be 2 of us travelling toghether and we want to book seats from the “Rail Planner” App. The thing is that we have added two passes to the same device, but they are on different journeys. So when we make the seat reservation there is no record that there are two people and only one seat is reserved. How can we book both seats at the same time through the application?

Hi please help!!!I had selected to use today as a travel day on accident (13/07/2023) and I was meant to select tomorrow (14/07/2023)! I did not know that a travel day was used if it was on the app day of? Plus there were disruptions in services for the trains in Germany today anyway so it would not have been valid to use it today.  I need all my travel days and I really hope I can get it back! I’m not sure if there is a way I can contact someone from eurail asap or have this question flagged. I’m desperate as my trip comes to an end soon and I need my all my days! thanks for any help!! Does anyone know the extension for the RENFE number to speak to someone in English? I have tried calling the number but am unable to go through on my personal phone. When I previously called in my home country I had no problem getting through and speaking to someone. I have tried using a friend’s phone and can only get to an automated Spanish line and am having trouble figuring out how to switch it to English. Otherwise does anyone have advice for making the reservations for Barcelona to Madrid and Madrid to Lisbon?

[NEED HELP ASAP]Hi!My family and I (4 pax) will be traveling to Spain and Portugal this coming September up until October. We will be visiting Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Madrid, and Lisbon, Portugal at the minimum. The trip starts and ends in Barcelona.I was wondering if the Eurail pass can be used for our transfers between the different Spanish cities? If yes, do the travel days have to be consecutive or can we choose different travel days within our trip? Is the Eurail pass even worth it for these transfers?Alternatively, can anyone recommend a better (and hopefully cheaper) way to visit these cities? I’ve just been considering booking individual train trips through renfe, but I was hoping there was a cheaper option.Thank you for your help!

I live in Canada. Next year I’d like travel through Europe with my 35 pound mixed bulldog starting in London and ending up in Athens. For the leg to London I will be of course flying. For the rest of the journey I’m considering different options (including Eurail) with a focus on pet friendliness.  My dog must be physically next to me as I travel. It can be leashed but not locked away somewhere in a cage.  I will also require stops where I can get off for a few minutes for my dog to relieve itself. (no longer than 4 hours between stops I have no problem paying extra for my dog to travel on trains in seat next to me. My vacation isn’t just for me. I want my dog to have fun too not treated like a parcel being delivered.. I have no issue arranging my trip along a route where different trains can meet the above requirements Is there some sort of online resource or specific Eurail pet support line that can help me plan the specifics of my trip? Hello,I have a question regarding the validity of the pass. I won a France Germany Interrail Pass. I would like to travel from Grenoble to Briancon (in France) by this bus. This bus is operated by the REGION SUD, by ZOU, so from that company which also the TER trains operates. As far as I know my pass is valid on this bus, but I want to make that sure. I will travel with my family, two adults and a 2-year-old child.I initially ordered two interrail global passes, one for me and one for my wife, as my child travels for free.But then, as I started to make group reservations, I realise I could not include my daughter because she had no pass. As many users, I was not aware that I had to associate a child pass with an adult pass to make a group reservation because your website is not clear and even counterintuitive (my daughter is 2 and the child pass is named “Child (4-11)”). It’s a shame, you should definitely clarify this !I found out in the FAQ that I had to ask a (85%) refund for my adult pass and order a new pass for myself and my child, which I did. My questions are the following :The initial order was for 2 passes, one for me and one for my wife : I asked to refund my pass only and would like to be sure the pass for my wife will not be cancelled (I only needed to replace one of the two passes to solve the problem of the child pass

I’ve heard it’s easier for a couple to each buy their own pass separately and download their individual pass onto their own phones. How easy is it for one person to reserve two seats together? Does each person have to reserve their own seat separately?

I could not find a precise answer to this question : most answers refer to activating the pass, but my question is whether I can add a journey on an active day (after I already completed a journey on that same day using my interrail global pass).Here is a concrete example : I use my interrail global pass to take a train, in the morning, from Hamburg to Koln (thus the pass has been activated, and the travel day associated with this journey is active). When I arrive in Koln, I decide to go further away and take a train, in the evening, to go from Koln to Liège. The two journeys are performed on the same day but the first journey Hamburg-Koln was planned and the second journey Koln-Liège was decided on the go. Can I add the journey Koln-Liège on my pass although the day is already active ?Mike

About travelling within the country of residence ?Does it include any journey starting from a city in your country of residence, whatever the destination (e.g. Liège-Koln) ? Or do you specifically refer to journeys within the country of residence, i.e. from one city in the country of residence to another city in the country of residence (e.g. Namur-Liège) ?Concretely, I live in Belgium and would like to know if I could use my remaining travel days to go from Brussels to Paris (directly) after coming back from a trip Brussels-Berlin (for which I will use my outbound/inbound days) ?Mike

I just looked out my reservations and looked again online. I found that the train on 24.07.23 from Milano Centrale to Napoli Centrale no longer exists. I have it reserved from 4:10pm to 9:13pm (train number: Frecciarossa 9551), but online I can only find a train from 4:30pm to 9:03pm (train number: Frecciarossa 9647).What can I do now that I have already paid and booked the reservation?

Hi, from Italy station tell me that with global pass I can't go to Paris from Italy. Is it true? I read that is possible to take an Italian train from Italy to Paris. Let me know ,thanks.

I am trying to reserve a train from Barcelona to Paris on 14 August 2023. Eurail website instructs me to go to SNCF. On the SNCF website, there is no way to reserve a seat without buying a ticket.Please advise ASAP. The train I wanted to go on is already booked!anne france

I have train travel booked in Italy on the 13/07 (Interlaken to Milan via Domodossola). However I’ve just discovered there are national rail strikes planned in Italy for that day. The Domodossola - Milan train is still bookable on the Trenitalia site - does this mean it will still run, or is it likely to be cancelled last minute? Alternatively I’m considering booking a train that goes direct from Switzerland to Milan - does anyone know if these sorts of strikes affect inbound international services? Thanks in advance!

Hi people, I am new here,I am going away with my daughter, I live in the UK, so through my interrail pass I have booked us to Paris, for a couple of days ,a day trip to Belgium then back to Paris, then on the Friday of the 6 day trip a trip to Amsterdam staying at a hotel and returning to Paris on the Saturday 29th July  Eurostar back to the UK on Sunday  all accommodation booked all seat reservations made all arrangements made However Thalys have cancelled the part of the return journey from Amsterdam on the Saturday, the part that is cancelled is the Brussels to Paris part, I have tried and tried there are only 2 other trains that evening from Brussels (after we arrive at Brussels from Amsterdam)  no availability to book seat reservations with our interrail passes. Even tried looking to see if I could take different train from Amsterdam, but again no availability to book with our interrail passes.Is my only option to pay the nearly 200 euros for the full fares now ? which makes getti

So confused. We have planned a 5 week trip to 5 countries. We know how long we are staying at each location. Should we make all our trip reservations in the Rail Planner now before we leave?  We are pretty firm on our travel dates but if something happens will we be able to change the reservation?Thanks.
