Hey so we are planning our interrail route and in my country (Greece), railway network is not so good so it's kinda hard to get out and expensive. We were thinking starting from spain but tickets are not that cheap. Anyways the question is if airplane tickets are covered by the pass in any way or even if a part of the amount is covered. Thank you!! 

HiI have purchased Eurail Global pass 10 days within 2 months.I have completed my itinerary in My Trip in the app for 9 days but have not yet activated the pass as my first day of travel is 8 September.Can I add the remaining Day 10 in the trip after the pass has been activated and I have commenced the travel?  Reason being I am considering a few options for the Day 10 depending on how I go.Regards   

There’s a bunch of topics here on the Narvik-Kiruna connection but they are >10months old. We're doing that this Summer and running into some interesting challenges. In particular, the Kiruna-Gällivare tracks are being revised (details at https://bransch.trafikverket.se/contentassets/8f4ef0aa71e34f7fbee83cfd6da5e1b1/ns_2025_2025_06_09.pdf) and it is quite tricky to find a through-connection from Narvik via Kiruna to Boden and onwards. So this is a heads-up to anyone aiming to cover this route in August 2025.We'll find our way across (it involves a bus for the Kiruna-Gällivare bit) but I do have a question that the SJ website hasn't answered for me. Apart from the tracks undergoing renovation, Kiruna station (along with the whole city center, famously) will be moved by a few miles due to the iron ore mine needing more space. (For us that's one reason to go check out Kiruna, in case you’re wondering.)But my question for the rail heads: where exactly will the train stop in Kiruna in Au

We ordered paper passes and do not get them delivered. Interrail said they did send them. PostNL said they never got them. Interrail says I have to go to PostNL PostNL says Interrail has to ask them information, not me. Interrail says it is not their problem. And we can not travel if we do not have passes   What can we do. Who can help us?

I have a 1st Class Interrail Global pass and want to reserve a seat on ICE9574 between Strasbourg and Paris.  Neither interrail.eu nor Rail Europe offer it - they only offer 2nd class seats.However, this train starts from Stuttgart and 1st Class seats CAN be booked from either Stuttgart or from Karlsruhe to Paris - so there are very definitely 1st Class seats on the train that are available between Strasbourg and Paris but for some reason the booking engines do not allow a 1st Class reservation from Strasbourg.  (Rail Europe doesn’t even allow a 1st Class ticket to be purchased from Strasbourg!)Is it legitimate for me to make a reservation from Karlsruhe to Paris and simply get on in Strasbourg?  Can anything go wrong if I do this?

Hi,Trying to book seats for an ICE Amsterdam-Köln on the ÖBB app.I get the following message:"Reservation not possibleSorry, shared accommodation on the ICE 153 from Amsterdam Centraal to Köln Hbf is not possible for the passengers as requested."i tried to book without table, in a different part of the train. Every time I get this message. Try again, different app, or is the train just full...?Thanks!!

Hi. I' m travelling from Madrid to Lisbon on October 21st with my family on interrail. I have received good information in this group, but there are still things I do not quite understand. At the moment I can only find one connection (3 changes- 8-9 hours and with one change with only 3 minutes change time) during the day, I like to travel. Is that because the time table has not yet been put on the site? And if so- when will it normally be released? I'm not quite sure if there are many connections where you're not allowed to go with your interrail ticket. Do you by any chance know anything about that? Best wishes Agnethe.

Hi, I have a 6 day single country Spain interail ticket and I am planning to check out northern spain.  I am flying into Barcelona, then a long train journey to Madrid, and after that id like to head north, ending up in Bilbao where i will be getting my flight home.   Does anyone have any suggestions of routes, places to visit/avoid  tips for traveling?   in fact any advice at all.  FYI i am a 50 yr old gay guy traveling alone. not done an interail trip before. 

We are a family of 3 with a four year old and planning to travel across 10 countries within 40 days time using Euro rail. Can anyone recommend buying first class is a good idea or would the 2nd class do the same job for a lower price? What extra benefits we get for first class? We will be covering Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungry, Netherland, France, Spain and Portugal. 

It's the first time I bought an interrail pass. Unfortunately for this weekend the reserved seats are already sold out, so I must choose the trains with non-reserved seats with more lay-overs. However, some lay-overs are just 6 or even 3 minutes. What if I miss one lay-over? Can I just take the next train with the Interrail pass without having to pay extra?

HiI am travelling from Chur to Muenchen HBF via St Margrethen Sg Station and have to change train from platform 1 to Platform 3 at St Margrethen Sg Station.I have a large suitcase with wheels. What is the minimum time I need to change the platform? Do I have to go up and down by stairs or there is escalator or lift at St Margrethen Sg Station?Thanks

Hi all,I’m planning to travel on the Paris - Nice Intercités de Nuit on 8th September. I have a valid 1st class youth global pass and would like to reserve the 1st class (4 couchette) option. I have tried to reserve this using the Interrail booking system, Rail Europe, and B-Europe (as detailed in https://www.interrail.eu/en/plan-your-trip/tips-and-tricks/trains-europe/night-trains/intercites-de-nuit), however as soon as I get to the very last step of checking out I am greeted with an error message (see pictures below). I am able to reserve the 1st class on the following day, or 2nd class (6 couchette) on the desired day, with no problem.There are still 1st class seats available (as tickets, not reservations) on the SNCF Connect website, and I assume that those three reservation websites would either make it clear that this is sold out before entering all of your details or simply not list it as an option to reserve.Emailing these companies has not been much help, and I have been told

Hello! I’m trying to travel from Paris to Amsterdam, and although I have a ticket from using my pass, there are no 2nd class seats available. There are 1st class seats available, but I do not have the 1st class pass. We were told we are able to buy the 1st class seat reservation, but I’m not sure how that will work since we only have a 2nd class pass. Am I able to upgrade my pass for 1 time only? Will they charge me for a 1st class ticket although I have a 2nd class ticket? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you! 

I’m trying to book a ticket from Munich to Verona on 12th September. The Man in Seat 61 gives trains which includes an 11:32 from Hbf but when I go onto the DB website it’s an 11:02 from Hbf and all the other trains that (per DB) day go from Munich Ost not Hbf. On OBB website they ALL go from Hbf. They’ve all got different departure times as well although they have the same train numbers.I have booked a reservation on OBB as it gives the trains and times I want but I’m now worried that perhaps OBB have not got the up-to-date trains, my train may leave from a different time and station and that my seat reservation won’t be valid.Who should I trust? Any ideas?

Just spoke to someone who went by train to Domodossola, Italy and found the trains not operating and the station deserted. How can I establish whether they’re operational again?

I am trying to book my seat reservation for the 12th-  tomorrow’s train from Paris to Amsterdam at 10:25 am from the Nord station. It is not letting me and in fact gives no options for this route at all, please help! So confused

It appears as if I have made all of my train reservations with Eurail, but I am a resident in Europe and purchased an Interrail pass. Are these tickets invalid? Can I still use them? Is there anything that I can do?????????

Dear fellow travellers, this is the first time I am using interrail. I have a flexi ticket for 4 days. I managed to book a seat on eurorail from London to Brussels (June 20th 2025 at 15.04). I paid and received the seat reservation. My understanding I have to add this trip to “my trip” on the app. But this train is not showing. Can I still travel with the seat reservation and somehow activate my day ticket on the app? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Hi all,I’m still trying to plot a route between Vienna and Zagreb over 2 days. I have been advised Graz but would prefer to be closer to Zagreb for a quick train in and car collection (meeting friends in Croatia) in the morning. I will be travelling from next week on an Interrail pass. Officially, it appears from the website that my iPhone is no longer supported by Interrail (it cannot be updated to iOS 16, which appears to mean that my Rail Planner app can no longer be updated). However, I did not notice until now (actually, it’s possible my phone was still supported when I bought the pass!): I still have the app and it still works just fine. I was able to add my pass and activate it, and QR codes are showing up as expected.The only issue I have encountered so far is that the schedule is not always up to date (e.g., Eurostar trains are not showing up at all), so that I am having to add some journeys manually (which, anyway, I have had to do in the past as well, even with up-to-date app versions). This probably reflects the fact that it’s an old version of the app.Do you think there is any risk that the QR codes generated by my app might not scan or be considered invalid?
