Hi, I am trying to do my seat reservations through Eurail but when I log into my account it shows I don’t have a pass. I have gone back and forth with the Live Chat but I have still only managed to book the two trains I can using Eurostar. I need to book the rest. Any help?

I’m into my second class pass for a few days now in Norway.  I’m having no luck reservation of seat on train if it’s required through eurail app. Entur website seems to require i buy ticket to reserve seat which doesn’t make sense.  I have to call customer service to reserve seat, lengthy wait but i get the reservation for seat.  Why is this so difficult?  I am thinking of upgrading to first class pass.  Any suggestions?

Cuando planifico mis días de viaje en la app, en cada tramo de tren me aparece “Está listo para abordar”, “Puedes comprar una reserva de asientos si lo deseas, pero no es obligatorio” o bien “Este es un tren popular. Se recomienda hacer reserva de asientos, pero no es obligatorio”. Mi duda es (sobretodo cuando aparece la segunda o tercera frase) si puede que el tren esté completo y no dejen subir a pasajeros sin reserva o bien, como en nuestros trenes de cercanías, siempre queda la posibilidad de viajar de pie. 

Hi guys!I know I have to activate the Flex Pass in the app by scheduling its 1-month validity period by 31st of August 2025, but I don’t know when I will travel or where, so I have no idea which day I will start my trip. Will I lose my pass if I don’t do it? Can I pick a random date and change it when I will plan my trip? Any help would be really appreciated.Thank you,Maria

Hello, I already created a trip that is linked to my DiscoverEU interrail pass. I would like to share it with the people I will be travelling with. I have already tried sharing the trip as a link but it opens in the Eurail planner mobile app. Is there a way to share a trip in the DiscoverEU app? Are my friends forced to use Eurail planner?

Good morning,  I have a reservation that can’t be refound. i am planning to change the trip plan. It seem that the reservation can not simply be cancelled (i don’t need the money back). What will it happen if I don’t use a reservation?    Thanksregards

Could you please let me know if there is a train route available from Östersund to Gällivare? The route is shown on the Interrail map for 2025, but the planner doesn't show any connections. How can I check if trains are actually running there? Does anyone know?

I saved two trip with two different names for my up and coming visit to England. Without my consciously doing so, the app has linked the SECOND of these trip to my pass, even though the dates is obvious after the first trip. Will this be the one I get when I activate my pass? In which case I really have to start again otherwisew I’ll be out of synchronisation. (How) Can I do this? HEEELP

Hey everyone. My boyfriend and I are travelling from Paris to Hamburg 01/08/25 and I just got the last seat reservation, so he didnt get anyone. Does anyone have a spare that we could buy? Please help if you know someone

I cannot book seat reservations for an Inter Regio train in Romania. I need to travel to Ploiesti Sud to then go on the night train to Vienna and at first it showed that i can only book the seat 30 days before departure and then it changed to “No price results were found” and when i clicked on more it said to book in person at a main station in Europe and when i went there the lady had no idea of the pass, said that i need to give her something printed but she had no idea what, she didn’t want to see my pass or anything from my phone and then she just said that i can only buy the ticket at full price. I then found through another question that i can book it though MAV (https://jegy.mav.hu/) but it doesn’t work either. At the last step of selecting the seats for the train that stops in Ploiesti it says “Failed reservation”. Is there a way to book the seats online or like at all? 

This isn’t a question, more so a complaint.In the past, you could delete past journeys to tidy up your trip. I liked writing down my different options and then activating them. Or even adding journeys that I didn’t use my pass for to keep an overview of how much I’ve travelled.Now I’m no longer able to delete journeys in the past, even if I didn’t take them. It’s only something minor, but now I can’t have an accurate overview of how many kilometres I’ve travelled and how many places I’ve visited.Also, while I’m travelling, I can no longer see where I’ve been. I probably will be able to once the trip ends, but it’s still a downgrade in my opinion.

Hi All, Have been learning a bit about travelling with a bike in a train in Germany. (Might help some others. And also others might have better solutions)I found this quite challenging: 1) Tried the Eurail app - this does not seem possible. 2) Tried the db Bahn app - but this seemed difficult to do without also purchasing a normal ticket as well.3) Tried ringing the db bahn.. And discovered a lot of the fast train (ICE) legs were already booked. 4) Decided to then use db bahn to filter a trip without fast trains.. which then allow bikes without reservations. It made the trip longer.. But possible! (I don't think there is a way in the Eurail app to filter out the fast trains.. So had to cross reference from the db bahn app) Now an travelling on the train.. But got in trouble because I was travelling before 9am on a regional train.. Around 60 Euro fine.. Hello I am new to this and have made two errors and cannot for the life of me work out how to fix. I have put my journeys on my pass for each day, but when I reserved the ACTUAL seats in first class on one leg I have put in the wrong date. When I try to change it is says it is non changable and non refundable. Do I just leave these and lose the money and rebook seats on the correct day and pay again or is there a way to change.  My husband, daughter and I all got 7 day in 1 month passes and I have started a booking for all three of us and we are all on the same trains for the first 4 - then our daughter goes off on her own with friends and is on different trains and destinations to us, but I mucked up and started the booking with all of us together and now need to seperate it so I can book the last three journeys seperately - but can’t work out if I can do this or if I have to start again. I have paid for seats on each of the four journeys I have booked so far in the one booking.Hope t

Hi!We will go from Vienna to Milano per night train, but we have to change trains before midnight in Salzburg. Does this still count as 1 travel day?Next we want to travel further to Bergamo on the evening of the same day we arrived in Milano. Does this still count as 1st travel day then (it will be within 24 hours of the start of the journey)? Thanks for helping me:-)

Hi!I won a discovereu interrailing pass and i’m planning on travelling in august. My friend, who i’m travelling with, bought a 7 day in a month interrailing card since it’s the same that i received. We are now trying to book seat reservations but it won’t work. I’m trying to book everything togheter, since we want the same things and want to sit togheter. But when i try to add a traveller i get this message. What can i do?

Hello all - I’ve tried to find the answer to the following in the community posts but with no luck! If the question has already been answered, then apologies and please feel free to direct me to the post!I live in the uk and have a global pass - 15 days in 2 months. after i have returned to my home country (using both my in country travel days), i will be flying back out to europe within the 2 month valid period. I will have 4 travel days left, can I use these remaining travel days to take a train from Gothenburg to Copenhagen? I’m wondering if the pass is “complete” and ends once I’ve used my 2nd inbound journey? Thanks in advance, Tom.

Hello, I have loaded 3 days of journeys on to my pass and I am confused re: dates. The app says that the pass was activated today 27th July which is when I loaded journeys on to My pass from My trip. It also says the pass is valid from 22nd October which is my first travel day. Is the pass going to run out in august because it has been activated today, 27th July, or does the validity date of 22nd October mean that I don’t need to worry about the activation date.  I am a bit confused since reading various forums would suggest the idea that the activation date is the date from which my pass is going to be valid and I need to use it within the next month or deactivate it now.Any assistance much appreciated.

Does it make sense that happyrail allow to book a seat for trains Barcelona Madrid while RailEurope says  interrail is not valid in that train?Am I misunderstanding something from happyrail?Thanks

Bonjour, Nous partons bientôt avec 3 enfants de 8, 11 et 15 ans. On a voulu aller en Grèce puis au Portugal mais à chaque fois, il y a des tarifs supplémentaires. Quelqu'un aurait une idée d'un trajet sympa sans réservation de train, pas trop cher sur place et comprenant l'Italie (5 trajets sur 3 semaines). Merci d'avance 

The journey I’m trying to book in France shows one hour of “public transportation” between the two trains. Does the Global Pass work for this? And how do I find the “public transportation… “ we need? We’re super new to this and need all the help we can get! Any tips will be greatly appreciated. 

I am traveling to Europe in a couple of weeks.I have booked two of my journeys on my laptop and EURAIL sent me emails so I could print out the tickets.Question - do I just show these printed tickets at the Italian rail stations or do I also need to show them something on my phone app?Secondly, I have one of my journeys on the phone app and I can see a QR code (“Pass Number”) on the phone for this ticket (Munich to Verona).Question -  Is this my ticket? Do I need something else to show the conductor? I would like to print this ticket but I don’t see an option to do so. I don’t see a seat reservation and I don’t see an option to add one.- how do I do this?Question - Is there a way for me to get phone app tickets emailed to me or can I somehow navigate to this phone app reservation in my online account (laptop) so I can print them?Comment - I have three journeys booked. 1 on the phone app and 2 on the laptop. Hi!How it works when we want to travel with a train that booking is not necessary? How we get those tickets, or we just have to show our interail pass to the train controller?Because I was checking that there are some that tell you a message such as:This is a popular train. Seat reservations are recommended, but not required.So, I was wondering how it works because we are travelling in four from Vien to Frankfurt.Thanks in advance.mariana

Hello, i am very new to this interrail thing and I'm trying to understand. I first thought that is I take a train on day 1 and it arrives on day 2 at his final destination, even is there is switches (that make part of the train trajectory), it still counted as 1 day. But when I checked for trains in the app I saw +1 day literally in every train I watched. Is it normal and does the +1 day means I spend actually 2 days of travel? Thank you very much.
