Hello, I want to go with my family (2 adults, 2 children 2,5) with the Flambahn. I already heard, that I can buy discounted tickets only a ticket offices and maybe any hotline. Do you know the price of a discounted round trip ticket?Do you know if there is a ticket office in Myrdal?Is there a nice way to combine a ship in the fjord with a trip to Bergen or Flam?Or is it better in Andalsness?

So the title pretty much says it all. For context, I am French but currently live in Germany for work/studies. I have an Anmeldung in Berlin, which I am hoping can be used to prove my German residency while I interrail in France. Would that be enough? Or do I need a Meldebescheinigung (which costs money, in contrary to the Anmeldung document, although max 10 euros)?Thanks in advance!

Hi,Me and my family are going to travel to Slovenia for the first time. We have a four day interrail pass for the longs streches, the rest of the tickets we plan to buy there.Our plan is Netherlands - Munchen - Maribor - Postonja - Koper - ljubljana - Stuttgart? - Netherlands.I have seat reservations for the trips Netherlands - Munchen en Munchen - Maribor.A few questions:Do we need to buy the train tickets within Slovenia (between Maribor - Postonja - Koper - ljubljana) in advance or can we just show up on the day and buy at the trainstation? I am trying to see if there are still tickets for the night train ljubljana - Stuttgart, but the OBB site says currently not reservable. Does anyone know whether that is a temporary problem? Any tips for nice day trips from Maribor, Postonja or Koper :) ?Thanks in advance!

Hi, I‘ve planend the Route Forums Interrail Trip a now it’s time to book the seat reservations. I remember that I bought them at the counter in my local train station here in Germany before, but the last time they said they dont do that anymore for Interrail seat reservations. In my route are trains in Portugal, Spain and France. For some the App only lists off the possibility to buy the reservations in person at train stations, for some it says i can buy them via their Eurail Website but when i click that link it always says 404 Page not found.I’d appreciate some help what’s the safest and easiest way to buy the reservations for my trip now so i dont get any problems or unnessecary stress during ,y trip.Thanks in advance.

Hello,I bought a Pass, valid for August but when I try to book seats, it shows “your pass isn’t valid on this date” (whether I log in or not). How it can be possible and how to fix that? Meanwhile, I am trying to book via direct sites (trains Hamburg Copenhagen / Copenhagen / Stockholm / Hambrug) but the sites show that the prices informations are unvailable ; does it means I have to wait a few more weeks until it’s available ? Thanks !

I saw that there was another thread about this general topic but I would like to know if there is someone here who already made the experience of turning 28 while starting the journey and if it’s possible to activate the pass (mine is for two months/10days) before your birthday and start your first travel day after that and it’s still valid. In the Interrail description it states that you have to ‘start your journey’ (or similar) before your 28th birthday  but does it mean activate the pass or actually start traveling? If someone already had that case please tell me about it - thank you!:)

Hi,I’m planning my first interrailing trip for this summer for my family, and could use some advise on seat reservations please.We are a group of 8, 4 of us having an interrail pass, 4 having an eurail pass as they live in China. 2 members of the group do not speak or understand English so they are reliant on being sat with those of us who can translate. I need to book seat reservations on some journeys, including Eurostar and TGV. My understanding is that if I book 4 seats with an interrail pass indicated, and make a separate reservation for the 4 people using an eurail pass, that it is unlikely to seat us all together. Does it actually matter if instead of splitting the group into 2 groups of 4 to make reservations, I make the seat reservations for 8 people in one reservation indicating that we all have an interrail pass, when 4 of us have an eurail pass?Thanks for any advice!

When I consult the Eurail planner app, for example, Narbonne-Carcassonne on June 28, 2025, at 7:11 a.m., no reservation is required. However, when I add it to my trip, only when I enter the specific trip, a required reservation appears, starting at €1.70, even though I'm booking a TER. Should I make a reservation in these cases?I bought a global pass.    

Hi. I’m using 8 days of a 10 day in 2 month pass to travel from the UK to Turkey. Then I’m flying back. Before the 2 months expire I’d like to fly to somewhere served by a budget airline and travel back to London, UK. I’d be interested to hear any suggestions or routes people have followed. Ideally 6 hours or so on the train each day. Thanks.

I’m trying to make seat reservations via the oebb website and no matter which date I use the website tells me NO SEATS AVAILABLE. Is there any other way to reserve a seat?

Hi! I’m on a bike touring trip and I’m trying to get myself home from Verona (Italy) towards Sweden by train with my interrail card, since I don’t have enough time to bike the whole way back. All of the reserved bike spots on the direct trains to Munich are fully booked for the foreseeable future so I ended up buying tickets for the S-Bahn 3 train from Brennerero-Innsbruck and the regional express and local train from Innsbruck-Munich. I payed for a ”bicycle ticket” but it also says ”if there is enough space, you may take your bike on board on the train”.   Does this mean that I might not get to bring my bike on the train even if I booked a bicycle ticket in advance? Does anyone have experience with these tickets on ÖBB? Also, if anyone has experience with bringing bikes on the regional trains in Italy or Germany I would appreciate your input. Going with DB from Munich to northern Germany doesn’t seem possible, the bike spots are all fully booked.

Hi Everyone,Feeling a bit apprehensive!I booked a2 x 1st class seat reservations on a 17:09 Paris Montparnasse1 et 2 (TGV INOUI 8477) to Bordeaux departing at 17:09 and arriving at 19:17. I booked this via the Interrail EU website using the seat reservation tab.Last evening I went into my App to check all the times of the train tickets and noticed the ticket was issued for a train departing at 17:16 and arriving at 20:14. I was able to manually enter the 17:09 Paris Montparnasse1 et 2 (TGV INOUI 8477) to Bordeaux departing at 17:09 that fits with the seat reservation and generate a ticket. However I am now wondering which is the correct train time and is there a train departing Paris Montparnasse at 17:09 and arriving into Bordeaux at 19:17.Also if you have made seat reservations on the website why aren’t these copied into the ticket issued?Appreciate your help as this is one of several trips where the same thing has occurred.

We were getting a bus replacement for a train from Valencia del Norte to Zaragoza Delicias. When the ticket inspector looked at our interrail tickets she kept saying ‘no this is just your interrail ticket’. after a phone call she let us on. we were wondering if we still had to get an actual ticket with our interrail pass in the train station. thankyou

Hi. My partner and I have planned to travel from Budapest to Ljubljana on July 26th, 2025. We've been trying for a while now to reserve seat tickets for the 9 a.m. departure from Budapest. But everywhere we've looked, it's not possible to reserve seats... Does anyone know why that is or how we can get it done?

Hi, I want to travel from Vienna to Trieste in July. Interail site says ‘No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection.’ I looked on the OBB website and it lets me buy supplements for that train but there is no seat reservation included. If I tick the ‘seat reservation’ box it says that the train is all booked up. Question – Does this mean that all seats for interail pass holders are sold out and if I just buy supplements will we be standing? Presume I can still buy tickets if I pay full price? odd that they let me purchase supplements if no seats were available!Thank you in advance!

We are taking the Glacier Express and ending in St. Moritz.  We then are staying the night in Fussen.  Do you know the best way to get to Fussen from St. Moritz?

However, I am encountering some issues and would appreciate any advice.My planned trips are: 8th August: Milan to Venice 10th August: Venice to Milan 13th August: Milan to Brig The timetable for the Milan to Venice route keeps changing—sometimes there is a direct train available, and sometimes not.Additionally, when I try to make seat reservations through ÖBB applying a discount (Eurail Pass), I keep getting a message saying "ticket not available."Does anyone know why this might be happening or how I can resolve it? Booked a 1st class reservation on the Ljubljana to Zagreb train. When the the train arrived, there was no 1st class carriage. The ticket inspector told us to sit in 2nd.Tried to get a refund from CD.cz but they're refusing saying that I haven't provided evidence that there was no 1st class. I don't know how to do that. The inspector didn't give us any documentation, and it isn't like I could have taken a photo of a non existent carriage.CD.cz refuse to contact the train company to check the formation. I've tried, but got no response.Should I just do a credit card charge back?

Me and 3 friends are hopefully going to take an interrailing trip next year in July, and I am wondering if this route would be good or not or if anyone can help me make some adjustments. The plan would be to fly across to Brussels from the UK on the 6th of July 2026, and spend 2 nights there before heading off to Amsterdam on the 8th, then after spending 1 night there head to Berlin on the 9th and spend 2 nights there, then to Warsaw on the 11th and spend 1 night there, after that heading to Prague on the 12th to spend 2 nights there (taking a sleeper train between Warsaw and Prague possibly), then heading to Bratislava on the 15th and spending 2 nights there, after that going to Graz on the 17th and staying 1 night, then Venice on the 18th and spending 3 nights there, after that traveling to Nice on the 21st and staying 1 night there, then finally going to Paris on the 22nd and spending 3 nights there before heading back to the UK on the 25th. If anyone could suggest some adjustments,
