Get ready to travel

hi everyone..thank you in advance for your insights..we will be traveling around Europe in April-May. We are planning on catching a train from Milan to Tirano and from Tirano, italy take the Bernina Express...And get off in St Moritz and catch a train until we arrive in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Anyone know if I get 4 inbound/outbound days in a 5 days or a 7 days adult global pass as a swede? (I for instance got 4 inbound/outbound days in a recent 7 days adult global pass).I am asking this since I am considering staying a few days in the south of Sweden (Scania) before continuing my itinerary towards France and then finally I go home again to Stockholm, Sweden. And I also thought about doing the same on the journey back, i.e. staying in the south of Sweden (Scania) for one or two nights before using my final travel day to travel home (from Malmö to Stockholm). I might have to use 3-4 days of travel inside of Sweden to make this work. Would this be equivalent to "misusing the pass" (which I saw someone writing in a discussion about these pilots with 4 outbound/inbound trips)?

I have checked the rail planner app, and Rail Europe.Railplanner states £6 reservation fee for all trains from Sunderland to London.However rail europe states no reservation required.This has confused me, and Im wondering how to log the journey as free.

Hi all,I am travelling through Italy, France, Switzerland and Slovenia this April-June, and I am trying to determine the best value option for train travel. My first journey will be on April 22, my last on June 3. I’ve listed every planned train journey below.I’m trying to determine the best-value option. Should I get a Eurail pass, a Swiss Pass, or a combination of passes and single fare tickets?Are all the below trips worth using a whole day of a pass, or are some/all of the journeys short enough/regional enough for a standalone ticket to be better value? If so, what days would you use a pass on? What pass would you suggest?Complicating things somewhat is the fact I’m travelling with my partner up until Lyon, and we would obviously like to be seated together on those train journeys we take. He has the option of buying a shorter pass too, if it represents good value. I’ve indicated Naples > Rome Florence

I have a Global Pass 1st class. I’ll be travelling next March and April from Brussels to Berlin, from Berlin to Vienna, from Vienna to Ljubljana, from Ljubljana to Venise. Réservations are not required, not compulsory, but I’d like to know if it would be  better to reserve to make sure I have a seated place. Thank you.

Hi, I will be travelling to those cities mentioned from March 14th, to MArch 31st, 2025, what in your consideration, would be my besto choice to purchase a ticket? Im travelling with my whole family. Appreciate your comments, :)

I'm travelling from zurich to prague on 27 March 25 but have been unable to make any reservation on any of the apps/ sites for the direct night train ( leaving zurich at 19.56 arriving prague 09.13am the next morning .I understand that this is possibly because the seats have sold out however will I be able to just board the train on the off chance that I can find a seat or worst case sit on baggage on floor? I have a 15 day in 2 month interrail global pass but my itinerary is tight on days so don't really want to use more days than absolutely necessary please help 

How do I start my trip planning on the Eurail app?I would like to be able to stop at many different places along the way

Hallo,Ich habe meine Interrailreise um einen Tag vorverlegt: Ich habe meinen Pass deaktiviert und für das neue Datum aktiviert. Ich kann jedoch für dieses neue Datum keine Reservationen vornehmen. Das System sagt mir, mein Pass sei an diesem Tag nicht gültig. In der App sehe ich jedoch, dass mein Pass für diesen Tag gültig ist. In einem anderen Forum hiess es, man müsse ein paar Tage warten. Es ist jetzt vier Tage seither und ich kann immer noch nicht für den Abreisetag reservieren. Danke für jede Hilfe. 

Hi everyone, we will be traveling with Eurail in April. I wanted to include Northern Spain, but it seems as if most trains are not part of the Eurail network?Does anyone have experience here, and some advice? Thanks!

Hey everyone,I will be travelling on a One-Country France Pass through France. I live in Germany close to the border and want to take the local train Offenburg-Kehl-Strasbourg to cross the border. I also own a Deutschlandticket which is valid up to the borderpoint Kehl (Gr) (which is a few metres further than the physical train station of Kehl).My question is if I need an additional ticket for the section Kehl (Gr) to Krimmeri-Meinau (first stop in France) or if my interrail will also cover this stretch.Maybe this is kind of similar to Basel SNCF/SBB being included in the one-country France pass.Any suggestions?

HiIm trying to reserve seats from Nice to Paris on 12th July and thre are no options.  I have gone back a few days and it the same thing. when i clickon a train it goes form being available to not being available. I went on the SNCF website and it says something about Urban travel Im confused as I booked Paris to Nice on the 27th June okany ideas?? thanks

I seem to be getting conflicting views as to whether I can travel from Zagreb to Split using a Eurail Pass.

I am planning on travelling to Europe from the United States for my first trip in May, visiting England, France, Netherlands, Finland, and Sweden (and maybe more). I am probably going to purchase the Eurail Global Pass to travel from country to country. My first stop is in England; next will be France. I’m not clear as to whether the Eurail Global Pass includes the train from London to Paris. Can you tell me if it does? If not, what additional ticket do I need to purchase, and how do I purchase it (is there a website? do I purchase in advance or at the time of travel? anything else I need to know?) Hi,I am planning to go in roumania for the summer and I am checking if it is interesting to buy an interrail pass. But I cannot figure out if we can book beds in night trains, for exemple from cluj to Suceava, or Suceava o Bucharest. I did not buy my pass yet, and when I select the train, they only offer first class or second class seats, and not beds. Is it possible ?

I need to know of it is possible to travelThe routes and with planned travel days below:MUnich-zurich (1 day) Munich-Berlin- Paris-Munich(3days) Munich- vienna -Budapest-Munich (2days) Munich- insbruck- bologna- venice- rome -Munich (5 days)I would like to take break with multiple trips to- and -fro with munich as my base , or am i missing something regarding inbound and outbound conditions?  

If I purchase an Interrail 7 day pass does this include the Eurostar from London to Brussels and are seat reservations needed or are they included?

Hi fellow-travelers, Me and my family have been enjoying interrailing for the last two years. We are making new plans for this year. Either just Italy again (this time try to reach the south with Bari or Brindisi) or Zagreb and northern Italy.  I started looking for the Nightjet to Innsbruck and found NJ421 that leaves from Amersfoort in the Netherlands, our country. But if I look correctly reservation of a 4 persons couchette om 19-7 will cost us € 224,60 (see screenshots) besides the Interrail ticket. Is that correct? We have done this the last two years, but this keeps on getting more and more expensive…If anyone has any tips, happy to hear them. Thanks!  Hanno

Hello, I already have my Eurail pass, but I have not reserved a seat, if I do not reserve a seat to travel from Rome to Florence or from Florence to Verona or from Verona to Milan, do they let me board the train or is it mandatory to reserve the seat so that I can board? The train is from the Frecciarossa company

Hello, is there any route from Verona to Tirano without going through Milan? Or what is the fastest route to get from Verona to Tirano?
