My wife and I wish to travel on Sun 9 June from Budapest Kelenforld to Ljubljana.I am trying to book a seat reservation on the train departing at 0907.  I have tried on the Eurail app and on CD and MAV apps but can’t seem to work out how to book a seat for the two of us.how can I reserve a seat?which site or carrier to I book it thru.how do I just reserve a seat without paying for a ticket?  We have a 3 mth global pass. thanks in advance jon

Hello all,I am planning a trip with my daughter through Europe this summer - part of this trip we are travelling the Bernina Express, panoramic car, afternoon train.This train arrives in Tirano 17:59 with our connecting train to Milan via Trenord departing 18:08 to Milan.Is the 9minutes enough time to transfer between the two? Is anyone familiar with this stop?We will be carrying straight on in Milan onto a sleeper train departing Milan 21:35 and if we miss the Trenord connection we miss the night train ex Milan and I am concerned this is too risky and may look to stay in Tirano the night instead.Help and advice appreciated, thanks in advance. :)

Hello everybody,I paid for a global Interrail pass including all European countries which I activated and which will take effect next Monday (April 15) for my first trip Paris Gare de Lyon - Padova. Is it possible to add/delete journeys from the Pass after the journey has started? And what about after it has finished?Reason for asking is that I was originally intending to take the Eurostar from St. Pancras to Amsterdam, and I bought a passholder reservation for that journey.My plans have now changed and I would like to get off the Eurostar early in Brussels. As I understand it this might not technically be allowed but in practice should be OK because there aren’t ticket checks on arrival. I don’t want to change the passholder reservation because there is a charge for doing that.However, if I change the journey in my Pass to say Brussels instead of Amsterdam it won’t match the passholder reservation. And if I leave it as Amsterdam I can’t add the next train I am going to take from Brussels because it leaves before the Eurostar has arrived in Amsterdam (i.e. it overlaps).So what I was thinking was to leave the journey in the Pass as Amsterdam until I arrive in Brussels, then delete

Why is that? I understand that Swiss trains don't need reservations but the cross border ones into Italy do, correct? Or am I missing something? Can I just get on any EC/IC/ RE trains going out of Switzerland without reservations? Thank you for your suggestions!  

Hello, Just looking for some general advice on the Interail trip that we're planning this May/June. Particularly any advice that would help us do the journey with a 8&10 year old. We've booked the big legs but if anyone thinks it wouldn't work or we are planning too much we'd love the advice. Day 1 - London to Paris (booked)Day 2 - Paris - Chur (need to book) 2 nights in Chur. Anyone have any tips on accommodation? We are looking forward to the cable car up the mountain! Day 4 - Bernina Express (booked) then Turino to Milan. Any advice on accommodation in Milan for a quick overnight?Day 5 - 8 - from Milan we want to travel somewhere near Pisa for some sightseeing. There are busses run by the Greek Rail company - for example from Patras railway station to connect with the train from Kiato into Athens. Does anyone know if the bus part is covered by a global interrail pass?

Hello, I recently heard about the Eurail 4 days pass for Greek Islands. I though I finally found an affordable way to visit the Greek islands are to me, ferry prices are outrageous. Unfortunately, I am not that young anymore and not extremely enthusiast to the idea of spending long overnight trip on an economy seat.   My question is the following: is there a way to upgrade from an economy seat to a bed when making a reservation? I am going to Greece at the end of April - beginning of May, which should normally be a relatively quiet time. However, this year, Orthodox Easter is May 5 and ferry are popular.  There is no chance I will get a bed if I wait to be on the ferry to upgrade.  Thank you.

I have searched trips a near as tomorrow and as far as it’s in their calendar, their system can’t find any seat available.. is this normal? (trying to reserve tickets from London to Liverpool)

Hey! I’m trying to make seat reservations to a train from Ljubljana to Rijeka (8:30 am - 11:12 am) on 12th of May since the Rail Planner says that seat reservation are required. In the app the name/number of the train is EN 60237 but when I try to book with CD (Ceske Drahy) on their website the train number is INT 481 OPATIJA. The route and schedule of the trains seems to be the same so is it okay to book the seats with CD ? And extra question if anybody knows the answer… I wanted to travel from Budapest to Graz on 8th of May with direct connection (4:29 pm - 9:20 pm). I tried to make the seat reservation already in March, but both CD and Eurail said that the train is temporarily unavailable for reservations or the prices are unavailable. Today I checked the Hungarian website (MAV-START) and according to it the train is fully booked. Rail Planner says seat reservations are optional for that route, but since we don’t have seats booked does this mean we don’t have any chance to catch tha

Après recherche, je comprends que c'est la partie Lucques - Florence qui coince car il y a ce qu'il faut pour Florence - Venise. Hey everybody :) I’m trying to have a nice week of hiking in early May, and I was thinking of the French Pyrenees (I’m traveling from up North so Spain adds a lot of travel time), the French Alps, or maybe Austria.I’m having a hard time narrowing down my options! I would love to hike from hut to hut, and if possible walk through both forests and mountainous terrain. Staying a hut or hostel from which day hikes are possible would also be a perfectly agreeable option.Does anybody have any advice? Much appreciated :)

The high speed train I will take are Eurostar to Paris, TGV to Strasbourg and Italian high speeds trains travelling in Italy. I'am going to Jungfrau as well. Should I get a Eurail Global pass or just point to point tickets with maybe Swiss Half Fare?

Hello! We are looking to travel around Britain as well as one stop in Paris. We are there for 15 days. Our itinerary is roughly as follows. We have some dates that are fixed, but we also have a few spare days and so we want to stay a bit flexible. It seems like our options are Brit rail pass, this would cover all the Britain portions, and then pay out of pocket for London to Paris. If we use Brit rail, we would need 4 days Flexi pass at a minimum This is 898 CDN$ for 2 people.If we use the Eurail option, we would need 7 days Flexipass 1,138 CDN$ for 2 people + the 260.71$ fee for using it from London to Paris which makes it close to individual tickets. I looked up tickets in advance on a few different websites. Hi everyone! Im really confused about this supplement, and i don’t know where to buy it either! My friends and I are travelling from Amsterdam to Frankfurt in August, and we’ve already booked our seats on the DSB website (as it wasn’t still possible on interrail website). There was nothing about any supplement on this website, but if i look this train up on the Interrail app, or on the online planner, it says that a supplement is required. Does anyone know what this supplement is? And where we can buy it? We’re travelling on an ICE on the 28th of August. Thank you very much!!

Hi, we are planning to get the 7 days in 1 month pass in august. Does anyone have some suggestions for routes as I am totally new to this? I would love to include slovenia and Croatia. We are planning to do 2/3 weeks. Is it easier to fly over to Europe or use the Eurostar?

Hi,I am planning on taking ride on 3. 7. 2024 form Prague (6:38) to London via Köln an Bruxelles, but train between Köln and Bruxelles (EUR 9474) is for Interrail pass holders already sold out. In mobile app I found ICE 12, but on website I can not find it. Can I book seats on bahn.com and use it with Interrail pass? And if so, why it is not showing up in train times? If not, do I understand it correctly, that I would need to buy full fare and seat reservation for EUR 9474 or ICE 12? Also from my understanding it should be in possible most cases to book reservation through carriers sites? If so, is it better to book seats through interrail.eu or directly from carriers?Thanks
