Hi EveryoneTwo of us are looking to leave Mulhouse on the morning of 14 September to go down to Pescara in Italy - allowing for an overnight stop on the way.I had originally planned to work out a route across Switzerland closer to the time but with the various delays being mentioned in Switzerland, I’m wondering if it would be a good idea to make some seat reservations now.OBB isn’t currently letting me book reservations on the 11:03dep from Basel SBB on the Eurocity 151 to Milano.Any thoughts on why this might be?I did think about going via the Bernina Express route and staying in Tirano before continuing to Pescara but thought I’d take a quicker route this time. Happy to revert to this route though if need be. Any thoughts gratefully received!

Dear All,Apologies first of all for the seemingly endless questions!If I decide to travel on a Friday from Lille to Nice via Paris where I intend to get a night train will this mean two journeys?  The first train I will take will be from Lille to Paris and the second train - a night one - from Paris to Nice.  The two journeys will not be in excess of 24 hours but will be over two days or two parts of days.I hope this makes sense and I am grateful for any replies received.Many thanks & kind regards, John

I got the 19:10 CFR train from Budapest to bucharest supposed to be arrive 11:19 local time. It's now 15:40 and will probably be arriving within the hour. That's a delay of around 5 hours and with no explanation why. We left on time and as we went on progressively became more and more behind schedule.

Hello , I’m non European citizen so I m getting eurail Global pass to have trips Zurich to Zermatt and back to Zurich . Then Zurich to Vienna. That will be night  SBB train leaving at 21:40 . Do I need to book couchette or not ? If yes then how ? thank you Natalie 

Hello everyone,I have a few questions regarding some advice people have given here:Why is it unwise to activate travel days or my pass itself in advance, if I can always deactivate it before the day starts?  Why is it unwise to plan your whole trip in advance? AnnaB said in another post “If you travel right now, the only journeys connected to your pass should be those for today and previous days.” But why? Can’t I always remove or add trains to my pass/trip if needed, even if the day is already activated? I don’t really see the disadvantage here. Just for absolute clarification and inner peace: I have a 4-day Flexi-Pass and I also am 100% sure on which days my pass needs to be active. So if I don’t mess up the activation days, is there really anything I can do wrong or have to be careful about?Thank you very much in advance!  :)

During these days I would like to go to Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris, I cannot find any trains during December, where can I find the schedule for the trains, any tips? I know I need to buy my ticket for Sofia to Istanbul at the station. I arrive to Sofia tomorrow morning and plan to get the train to Istanbul that evening. 1. What are the chances there is still availability and 2. Why doesn't the journey show on the planner anymore. The same for Bucharest to Sofia it was no longer showing 

Can you sit in the hallway if there are no more seats available? Can you get a fine? If so, how much does it cost?

Is 20 minutes enough time to transfer from an arriving Eurostar train at Brussels Midi to a departing IC train to Liege. The Liege train is the last one of the day at about 23:00 and leaves from platform 11. Since we have the Eurail global pass, can we just board the IC train straightaway?

On holiday from 21st to 29th October 2023 inclusive. We have what looks like 52 minutes to transfer trains in Bruxelles-MIDI from a THALYS train to a EUROSTAR train. There was a note that said check in closes 30 minutes before departure and to allow 45-60 minutes for passport control. The ticket looks like the below 14:08 - BRUXELLES-MIDI (Belgium) Thalys0h 35m (Eurostar -check in closes 30m before departure; allow 45-60m for passport control)14:52 -BRUXELLES-MIDI (Belgium) EurostarI think the 35 minutes in between is saying that is how long it takes to get from one train to the other...not sure, because it doesnt mention anything but the note next to it. Im worried that we will miss the connection and this is the train to Gatwick Airport to our flight out. We dont want to have any issues.Is anyone familiar with this process and able to guide me in terms of how this works? Where/how do you check in? I want to purchase and use a mobile Eurail Global Pass tomorrow, flex days (4). I am unable to find the answer as to buying and using the first flex day on the same day as purchase. Can anyone help?I don't want to purchase tomorrow if I can't use it. Is there a waiting period, one day before use, for example?Thanks. 

We reserved a ticket and a seat on Eurostar train from London to Brussels on 22 September at 19:34. We would like to take an earlier train that day but it looks like all the earlier have either no tickets or seats. What are the chances of being able to buy a ticket and seat on an earlier Eurostar train by simply showing up early at the st pancras train station and talking to a Eurostar ticket agent?  We would use the Eurail global pass to buy the ticket.

Hi everyone! I am considering buying a 4-day Greek Island Pass for myself and my sister, but before purchasing, I would like to clarify an issue that seems to have popped up for many others. Is it or is it no longer required to book domestic ferries in chronological order? I’m seeing some conflicting information (both saying yes and no) on the forum, and wanted to see if I can clarify this.The reason I am wondering is because I would like to start by booking a 5-day stay in Naxos during September (i.e. a return ticket) via the Hellenic Seaways website. From Naxos, I would like to make the most out of my pass and use it one day to go to Paros, and maybe to another island nearby (bringing me to 4 days in total of travelling domestically). However, I do not want to risk that by booking the return ticket online, I cannot use the pass at all during the days in between going to Naxos and leaving Naxos. I am from Canada and will be traveling from Civitavecchia to Rome for the first time. I am not familiar with the train stations in Italy. When planning my trip, it shows two options for Rome: Rome and Rome Termini. Which one is the correct one to choose if my hotel is the Crowne Plaza? Also, should I expect any issues with getting a ticket if I don't reserve ahead of time?

Dear All,I think that I am going to go for this pass as I am planning to go to 3 Rugby World Cup matches this autumn.As I can only use two journeys [days of travel] out of 7 from the UK to France and back am I obliged to use these on my first and last journey, that is journey 1 and journey 7 or can I use them for a return journey which might be journey 1 & 2 or journey 3 & 4 or journey 5 & 6?Many thanks, John

Hi, I live in Germany with a permanent residency but I am a non-EU citizen (of course with a valid non-EU passport). Can I choose to travel with Eurail pass instead of Interrail pass? I would really prefer to travel with Eurail pass as Germany’s central location and interrail pass’ inbound/outbound rule renders the interrail pass kinda useless if I want to say travel a few days to France and some days on the other side of Germany, to say Austria (unless I take some complicated route that doesn’t include journey’s in Germany). The language on eurail website creates a bit of a grey area (as it’s mentioned there that non-EU citizens who reside in the EU can ‘choose’ to buy an interrail pass). If I buy an eurail pass by providing the details of my non-EU passport, would it be fine or would I get into trouble? Has anybody been fined for such cases?  To be really honest, this inbound/outbound rule is very very inconvenient and frustrating, especially for people like me who live in central eu
