Can I shorten/exchange my pass for free with PLUS?

I am intending to get the 3 month eurail pass. However, I was wondering whether to add "Plus". It states in the terms and conditions that "If your travel plans change you can request an exchange for free. Simply order a new Pass that fits your new needs and contact our customer service to request the refund of your old Pass." Does this mean that, if I were to cut short my trip, and only travel for 2 months, am I able to travel, and then request for an exchange to a 2 months pass, even though I am halfway through my trip?

Overnight travel. Does it count as one travel day?

Hey, I want to travel from Zuerich HB to Florance (Firenze) starting 16:15 in Swisterland and arriving 06:18 in Italy. Does this count as one day travelling? I don't believe the train is a designated sleep train.

Night trains for my itinerary

Hi I am Anushka and I have planned an itinerary for my Europe trip in May.I would like to travel from each destination via the night trains. Through my research I have noticed that the night train routes start and go via different destinations that don't necessarily match my route.I am leaving from Arnhem,NL for my first destination: Copenhagen to hamburg to Antwerp to Paris to Marseille to Milan to Florence to Rome to Venice to Vienna to Prague back to Amsterdam.Could you please help me find night trains that match this route?Thank you.

Why am I only finding overnight trains to reserve in Italy

I've tried booking reservations from Venice to Milan on June 15th. The only time thar comes up is an overnight train that takes almost 20 hours. I can find plenty of trains available on the rail planner app but when I try to reserve them on eurails site only one night train comes uk

Reserving sleeper cars: Is there anyway to ensure that we are booked in a sleeper car on these overnight trains, and not just in regular seats?

I have purchased global rail passes for myself and my family for a Europe trip In July/august. I have run into a question about reservations. There are several nights that we would like to use the sleeper trains. I can see that we can reserve these through yours website service. I also know from making my other reservation that seats will be selected for me, but Is there anyway to ensure that we are booked in a sleeper car on these overnight trains, and not just in regular seats. It appears that both seating types are available on this train.

Buy seat reservation in Madrid - does it work?

Hey guys!I have to take the train from Madrid to Leon and then from Leon to Vigo on Sunday (27/03). Both connections require a reservation. The app says I can only book the tickets on the spot at a counter. Does anyone have experience with this? Does it work well? Or is there any option to buy the tickets online after all? Thank you!!

How to buy a global-pass as a gift?

Hi together,I want to buy a global-pass for my daughter as an gift for her 18´th birthday.If I wont to buy this ticket via the homepage, I have to open an account. Does anybody know, if this account I have to open for purchase has to be the same account my daughter has to use later for traveling? or can I open an account with my email-address just for this purchase and transfer the ticket later somehow to her? The background ist, that I don´t want, that my daughter know about the ticket in advance. But if I have to use her mail-address, she will knows it directly.I ask at the ticket counter in my city, but they don´t know.I also would by a paper-ticket. But therefore I read, I have to enter a first date of traveling, wich I don´t know right now. Is this true? And is it possible to enter or change this paper -ticket into a mobile-ticket later?Question over questions - hopefully somebody of you knows something about. :-)Thank you!Yvonne

Brussels-Köln with One Country pass ''your pass is not valid for this connection''

I have bought a German Rail Pass for me and my boyfriend, because I found it is also valid for ICE-trains between Brussels and Köln (source: it says in the conditions “"The German Rail Pass is valid on the following direct routes: Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi) Cologne (Köln Hbf) - Liège (Liège-Guillemins)" and I found also confirmation here German Interrail pass : Liège (Belgium) to Cologne (Köln, Germany) | Community (eurail.com) ).But now I tried to reserve us seats for this train, and it says “Your Pass or the Pass of a travel companion is not valid for this connection.”How can this be solved? Thank you!

Interrail app does not find the connection Barcelona - Madrid

Dear community, I have another question regarding my Interrail tour. I am travelling from Barcelona to Madrid with a train at 8 p.m. I was able to make a seat reservation for this train via Deutsche Bahn. However, when I tried to find this train connection in the Interrail app, it didn’t show up. What could be the reason for this? And will I have any problems if I travel with this train without that it’s listed in my app? (I have the seat reservation as a printed ticket though). Thank you in advance for your help!

Seat and bed reservation Berlin HBF to Malmö Central

Hi everyone! New Eurail couple here and we are super confused about the seat “Reservation” required on most of our selected trains in our trip for MAY 2022….either the Eurail app says to do it “at station” and on countries’ train website it says “reservation impossible”also, the Eurail and countries train websites times, are often different …..Am I reading too much into this or is this difficult to get in sync?Are long night-train cabins worth it and how long before a trip can those be reserved?

Hoe kan het dat het reserveren van een nachttrein niet lukt?Overal krijg ik een rood signaal, terwijl ik via bv de SJ wel kan boeken, maar dan is de nachttrein 4x zo prijzig, ik heb niet voor niets een 1ste klas inter/eurorail globall pass genomen.

Probleme Etstbenutzumg Mobile Pass

Hi, ist da jemand, der mir bei der erstmaligen Benutzung des mobile pass per Telefon oder hier helfen kann? Ich schicke dann gerne meine Telefonnummer per Mail zu. Fragen ergeben sich für mich bei der Verbindung eines Trips mit dem mobile pass und wann ich eine konkrete Reise eintragen muss:Wie kann ich einen kompletten Trip wechseln, wenn ich den schon mit dem mobilen pass verbunden habe, dieser aber noch nicht aktiviert ist? ist es eigentlich sinnvoll bei einem Trip bereits alle geplanten Zugreisen vorab einzugeben oder die jeweilige Reise erst am Reisetag dem Trip zuzufügen? Reservierungen für alle notwendigen Züge habe ich schon vorgenommen. freue mich auf Unterstützung beste Grüße Gerd nach 48 Jahren mal wieder Interrail versuchen.

Interrail ID in Sweden

I just bought an Interrail Global Pass for use in Sweden this summer.To activate the pass in the Rail Planner app I need to enter my passport or ID number. Can I use my drivers license number instead of passport number? I don’t have a national ID card (These are not issued in Denmark)Citizen from the Nordic countries are allowed to travel within these countries without having a passport. But we need to have some other kind of picture ID (like a drivers license).I don’t want to bring my passport if it is’t nessesary. The reason is that I will go on a hiking trip and don’t want to risk my passport gets wet or otherwise damaged. A drives license (plastic card) is more durable. Palle Dam, Denmark

Day trains before night trains and outbound journey

Hello :)I have the Mobile Global Pass for four days.I live in Göttingen, Germany and my first destination is Venice.I want to take a Nightrain on 27.March.22 departure Göttingen: 07.02 PMi need to change trains in Munich at 11 PM.I only have 20 minutes to change trains. can I take an earlier ICE train to make sure I don’t miss the Night-train (NJ40463?And also: This only counts as one travel day right? Because the night-train departs before midnight and I don’t have to change trains before I arrive in Venice.Which one of these two trains do I have to put as that outbound journey? I don’t really understand it the outbound journey thing.. because I read, that you only have one outbound and one inbound journey. Am I even allowed to use the train in Göttingen to get to Munich? lots of questions.. I know 😅but thanks in advance

Cancelling inbound on the same day before journey

Hello,Im all new here and just found out that it is better to buy the route (Offenburg to Kehl Grenze or Krimmeri-Meinau) because its not allowed take two trains in the country of residence. I am now on the second travel day (night train) but still hours away from the journey. I wanted to cancel the inbound/outbound but I cant because it is linked to the day and not the route. Why? Hello, I'd like to ask whether the European railway pass in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the cross-border trains in Montenegro, Kosovo, Serbia, northern Macedonia, Albania, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania can't be booked. I can't find it on the app. Then I see that the European railway pass has four free rides on the Greek islands and two Italian round trips to Greece, but there is no one when I click the preferential option for four domestic round trips, However, there are round-trip tickets in Italy, as well as European railway tickets. Many of them are operated by railway, but they will appear when scheduled/

Delay and changes close to midnight. Does that cost an extra travel day?

Hi! I’m planning a trip through Europe. I want to take a train from Berlin to Copenhagen, with a change in Hamburg at 23:56. If the previous train is not in time and I have to take the next train on the next day, does it count as 2 days of travel, or the travel day refers at the scheduled time?
