Hi, all!  I bought a pass for 5 members of my family for upcoming travel.  I also purchased reservations (for all 5 of us) through the website for two different trains.  I have not activated our passes yet.Now with our trip approaching I was trying to set up the mobile app, and discovered that the trips I created online don’t carry over.  While traveling, I was planning to use the mobile app to activate the pass, activate travel days, and add additional tickets for trains that don’t require reservations.  But I can’t figure out how this will work with the two trips I’ve already booked.I was thinking I could do everything through the website instead, but I can’t see how to get tickets for trains that don’t require reservations through the website.  Can someone help me with how to proceed?  We leave in a week and I’m beginning to regret buying these passes; everything has been so complicated.  :(  Thanks for any help!

Wir möchten von Hamburg nach Fredericia in Dänemark fahren und haben festgestellt, dass es einen reservierunngspflichtigen Abschnitt von Schleswig nach Padborg gibt, für den man aber keine separate Reservierung kaufen kann.Müssen wir nun ein Ticket für diesen Abschnitt kaufen oder steigen wir mit unserem Global Pass einfach in den Zug?Danke für eure Antworten, es ist relativ dringend (zeitlich)Viele Grüße, Kerstin  

We are travelling on the sleeper from Amsterdam to Innsbruck next month and have reserved a couchette for 4. Is there room in the couchette for 2 cases ? Thanks! 

Hi,I recently bought my Interrail pass and started to reserve seats. I would’ve need a ticket from Amsterdam - London on the 11st of August. I saw that there is no more seat on the Interrail site, so I checked the SNBC’s site. After pressing “Later trains” I found a train, got happy and reserved it… for 30th of August (accidentally). We have several other parts of the journey purchased so impossible to travel on the 30th of August.I tried the date changing on SNCB and on Eurostar as well, but I should pay around 700 euros. Do you have any idea what to do now? I found alternative ways to London from Brussels, and it would be okay for me, but I already paid 100 euros to a seat I will not need. Maybe there is a chance to get my money back or change the reservation to 11th of August? Thank you!

Hey!We will be soon in Greece and we are struggling to find any train connections in the rail planner. We will be going from Sofia to Thessaloniki with the Bus, since there is no train going, but we are not sure if we need to travel by bus also in Greece or if there is a way to take a train to different destinations.

Hi All, I'm trying to travel from Munich to Zagreb via the overnight EuroNight 40237 train on February 4th but when I try to buy from the ÖBB website it's saying there are no options available in all of the options (seats, couchettes, sleepers).  I've tried other dates, varying from today to the end of February and none of them seem to have any options so I don't think the trains are sold out. Additionally I've tried changing the starting location to Salzburg but it's still the same outcome. Is there some issue with the ÖBB website? Thanks :))

DB has an IC Brussels-Lille listed today. Is that a new connection? Would it be usable with an Interrail pass? Strangely, neither SNCB nor SNCF list that train. 

My husband and I are trying to plan a big anniversary trip in July 2024 to Europe. We will also have our youngest child with us (9 yrs old at time of travel). We are planning to spend between 21-30 days there using Eurail as our primary source of transportation. Our anticipated destinations include Dublin, London, Paris, Versailles, Venice, Rome, Portofino, Barcelona, and Madrid. We mostly want to experience ancient architecture, landscapes, culture, and cuisine, but will also concede to popular tourists attractions. We have a rough agenda, but hope to have more of a laissez faire sort of vibe for flexibility.Is Eurail user friendly? Child friendly? How easy are seat reservations to make? Must they be made very far in advance? Is the first class ticket worth the extra $$? What roadblocks or challenges do seasoned Eurail travelers see for us? Hi,So I got a 4 day global interrail pass in order to go from the Netherlands to Italy and also to Scotland in two separate trips. I read online that if you want to use the pass for separate trips where you return to your starting country in between that you need to buy a ticket to get in and out of the starting country for your way back and way out in between trips. Which is what I did, and am now currently back in the country where I started and will be going to scotland soon. But my confusion is that on the My Pass page of the interrail app, it says I’ve used 1/3 Outbound/inbound, but shouldnt that be ½? Does this mean that I can use the interrail pass to get out and back in on my second journey as opposed to getting a local fare to leave NL and picking up my journey with the interrail pass from there? Has anyone else has similar experiences or noticed the same thing with their pass? Thanks in advance

Hi.We would like to travel soon (1 week+) with the Greek Islands Interrail pass.Unfortunately the 6 days pass only exists in paper option and won’t be mailed on time for departure.Do you know how easy it is to get it directly from a train station in France/ Italy the day of departure, and if we can book the international ferry crossing with Anek without actually having the paper pass yet ?Thank you in advance for your quick response.Stanislas

Hi, my parents and I plan on travelling from Den Haag Centraal (Netherlands) to Milano Centrale (Italy). Basically, we were planning our travels  on 18/06/2023 for the travel date 03/01/2023 and we found a timetable, for which we bought a seat reservation for. But now it’s dissapeared, but I can still find the timetable on other train apps, so we know it’s still going, but that the railplanner app doesnt show it. But I’m under the impression that in order to use our mobile passes we need to generate passes for the specific trains, which you do through the railplanner app, and we can no longer do that since the route does not show up anymore. Does anyone have a solution for this? The alternative that the railplanner app is showing is a worse option, that requires more seat reservation, and on different trains than the train that we already reserved our seat on. I’ve attached the image of the original route we planned on taking.  Any info would be very much appreciated! 

I just purchased a global Eurail pass and created a Eurail account, and now I want to reserve a seat to get from Vienna to Amsterdam (any route possible).I’ve tried multiple different routes, days, browsers etc. but every time when I get to the check out screen, the system runs an error and says “something went wrong”. I’ve sunk 6 hours into trying to reserve this trip. It’s really frustrating.Am I missing something?

Hello! I will travel with Interrail for the first time in one week. I really hope somebody can help me. I am really confused. My question is whether I can add a journey on an active day. Here is my problem: I want to travel from Hanover (Germany) to Munich (Germany). I want to stay there for some hours and use the night train to Venice (Italy). I already know that there is no extra “active” day when using a night train but how does it work with the stay? I would have to use two “active” days when I stay in Munich for some hours although it is just one day. It says that the inspector have to see the train you’re staying in, when he scans the barcode. But how is it handled when you’re not traveling the exact route that is on your “ticket” because the rail planner didn’t show it?   

Hi my  partner and I (both in our 60s) are wanting to travel to Prague via Germany in September. We will be getting onto the rail network from Eurostar as we are coming from the uk. We fancy stopping over for a couple of nights in 4 German cities and 3 nights in Prague. I'm thinking that some kind of European flexible travel passes would be more economical..We are not great at purchasing online. Can anyone suggest any help available and best deals, whilst remaining as flexible as possible.Thanks Carolyn    

Hello,yesterday I’ve bought a seat reservation for a train ICE 9558 (Mannheim → Paris Est). I thought there’ll be an option to choose where I’d like to seat after pay, anyway it chose me random seat right in the couch 22. I’m travelling with my girlfriend who doesn’t have an Interrail pass, but every train I saw yet had an option to choose where exactly I’d like to seat. When I tried to buy tickets for her on the https://bahn.com (Deutsche Bahn site) I wasn’t able to select the seat and the same for SNCF, they didn’t tell me the seat before I buy it.  I’m afraid that if I buy two random seats and the train will be full, there’ll be no way to seat next to each other. Also, she’s getting sick when seated somewhere else than next to the window and in the direction of the travel.  Is there anything I can do? Or at least can I refund my “random selected” ticket? Is the sleeper train from Ljubliana to Budapest running this year? Specifically the 00:30-8:59 on 25th August There was no mention of it on The man in seat 61. https://www.seat61.com/international-trains/trains-from-Ljubljana.htm#Ljubljana-Budapest However in my copy of the European Rail Timetable summer 2023 edition it is shown and on trainline it appears but says unavailable. while OBB does say there is a train but there is no option to book a seat let alone a sleeper. Is there a limited services or will i need to look at an alternative route? was hoping to not travel that long throughout the day.

Do I need Eurail Pass before I make a reservation for the trip from Paris to Rome?Or, in other words, can I make reservation for trip without a Eurail Pass?Would an overnight stop in Milan make sense? t\Then train to Rome from Milan?This would be our only train trip. Hi All, I wonder if anyone can help…I bought a seat reservation for the Berlin to Brussels night train, and I have an interrail mobile pass. But, the sleeper journey doesnt show up in the interrail journey finder, so how can I add the journey to the pass??

Hi, we are a family of 4 adults and one child 6 years old. We just bought passes for 10 days within 2 months. I was trying to find some journeys using the planner, but unfortunately i wasn't very successful. So i have following questions1. On the 5 July late on the day or on the 6 july very early i wanted to find a connection from Vejle/Kolding in dk to Munich in de with a night express and with sleeping department, so that we would be in munich in the morning on the 6 july. i couldn't find any.2. Generally when traveling in July during a weekdays is it always worth to make reservations also for trains which don't require one?3. Monday, the 10 July from Ljubljana in sv to Verona in it in the morning i could find any train connections, only with some flexbus. How to find one?4. On the 12 July from Verona to Chur in ch in the morning i only found a connection through Zurych but we wanted to take to tirano to take Bernina express or regular train on the route from there to chur. Can I buy an interrail pass for my child as a present? 

Hello all, I'm planning a trip to the Greek Islands and I have a questions regarding the booking order. I understand that the first booked must be the first leg to match the activation date and the first day used as a travel day. However, in my case, I want to book from Athens to Paros on the 20th, and then from Ios to Athens on the 30th. Those are the only 2 routes I am sure I want to book via the 4 day ferry pass as of right now. And that would be fine, but what I don't know if I can do is: can I, on the 23th (for example) being in Paros, book a new route for the 24th to go to another island? Or would i only be able to book routes that chronologically occur after the second booked one (already returning from Ios to Athens)? From reading other questions I see i need to add journeys for each travel day, but the website really doesn't tell whether one can add a journey between two days that were already planned in the mobile pass.  Perhaps a solution would be to book all tickets as I de
