I need a how-to.If I want to buy a mandatory seat reservation to use with my already purchased Eurail pass on a train that can be booked at https://www.oebb.at/en/ is there any way that I can buy just a Eurail seat reservation instead of a full price ticket?More generally, is there any way to purchase mandatory seat reservations to use with a Eurail pass from a national rail line’s own web site?

Hello,is it possible to reserve a sleeping compartment with an interrail pass 1. class? I have one, bute I can only reserve sit or couchette 2. class. At sj.se I only can reserve sit or couchette, for sleeping compartment I have to pay the full price.Can someone help me? I only bought the interrail 1. class because of using sleeping compartments. If this wouldt be possible, this pass has no sense for me. Thank you for your help!

Can I spontaneously change my mind and get a different ticket for an other train right befor it departs? So if yes, I can change my ticket over the day as often as I want?Thank you for your answer. PS. I am travelling with global pass.

I activated my pass the day I flew out to first destination, thinking I needed to know how to use it etc before getting to a station - but didn’t realise that by doing this it would use a day! I’m now a day short of travel. Can I get this back? I didn’t go on any journeys that day..?

I was thinking about getting the 2 month continuous pass and I was wondering what the situation is in regards to inbound and outbound trips, my country of residence is ireland and I was hoping to be able to come in and out somewhat regularly. I read on the information page that it said you are allowed 1 inbound and 1 outbound trip from your country of residence during travel days and i was wondering does that mean your allowed 1 inbound and 1 outbound trip per travel day or would that be 1 inbound and 1 outbound over the duration of the 2 months. If its the latter I could understand how this would be fine for other countries as you can get a train to the border and then just pay to get back in yourself but the cheapest flights from ireland to mainland europe are in the range of 100 euros for return.

Hello everyone!We need to travel from Lausanne to Venice in one day, preferably arriving in Venice  mid afternoon latest. When I try to book reservations on trains on the Eurail website, it keeps saying there is nothing available for this journey! It brings up the same message for every route into anywhere in Italy on that day! Help! It seems we are stuck in Lausanne! Can we board trains from Lausanne to Milan and on to Venice without making a reservation? I need to be sure we can do this so that I can book accommodation in Venice. We are travelling in June.Thank you in advance

I am trying to book a reservation for the direct train from Berlin to Warsaw. It is saying that this cannot be done on every website I have tried. Does anyone know how I make this booking? Thanks!

My partner and I hold Eurail Global pass and I tried to book a reservation for us via OBB for my journey from Switzerland to Italy.After that we downloaded PDF from OBB website, but seems like my partner’s name is not mentioned on the PDF. Hi,I’m finishing my student exchange in July in France. I indicated in the pass that I have Polish residence (as stated on my ID) and planning to start using the pass at the end/after my exchange in France. I’m not sure whether I should’ve put France because I will no longer stay officially in France (I have no proof of my residency, just papers from the University) and also it would be an abuse to use the interrail in Poland (where I will live after my exchange). I’m just afraid that due to frequent passing through France where I have friends I may be eventually fined.Should it be a problem? Moreover, could I stay longer in another country (I’m planning to stay one month in Portugal) and use the interrail global pass in another country for a longer period?Arkadiusz

Hello, I will do a roundtrip with Eurail pass 1. class, mainly on Highspeed trains in Germany, France, UK, Italy and Austria. The trip will be End of July. When do you recommend to make seat reservations to be on the safe side, but also to have flexibility as long as possible? 1 month in advance? Or more?

Hi, I am a first time eurail user from Australia! Just bought a eurail pass for myself and 3 others. Having a bit of trouble figuring out the best way to make train reservations and link the pass to a journey. I have a few questions I would love answered. Once I link the pass to a trip created on the app, am I then able to edit or unlink the pass?  How can I make reservations for train seats and sleepers for overnight trains without getting charged more than necessary, on an external website? Ie. is there something I can use to put in a code for my pass or something? I have a 7 day in a month pass, how does the eurail pass know the maximum journey cap and calculate it? Is it possible to then for example overbook an extra train/day and then get charged extra (want to avoid this)? I bought tickets for all 4 of us, but we will be on the same journey. What is the best way to go about booking for all of us and using the passes, should we all just input the same trip onto seperate phones and

Hi! My paper pass doesn’t seem to include cover number (capital letter I and 8 digits). Last time I traveled in 2019 I didn’t have this problem, and the cover number was printed where it should be. I managed to book reservations without it (for example Swedish SJ accepted my order number as a pass number) but I would like to have my cover number if I need it later. I’d also like to use RailPlanner app, now I can’t connect my pass to my trip. Can someone help and send me my cover number?

The website crashed while I was purchasing my 2x Eurail tickets for the 50% sale! I can see that the UK reseller has extended their sale, but as I live in Australia I can’t purchase of their site (I think). How can I purchase a sale ticket as a resident of Australi if the website keeps crashing:( 

When I wanted to add this train to my trip I was shocked that this train is not in mobile RailPlanner.It always says I have to go to Milano Central, but this train goes exactly from Porta Garibaldi to Roma.If I type trip from P. Garibaldi to Roma (on 27.7.2022) there is no train 797.Am I just too fast?Thanks

It doesn’t say that I have used up my inbound/outbound journeys,but I still get the ‘’no travel days left’’ message when I’m trying to book my outbound trip. Any explanation?Edit: In the app it said that it might be because my pass is expired but I literally bought it yesterday and it says in the app that it’s valid from June 10th to August 9th. It’s May.Edit 2: Don’t know what happened, it just magically started working. Issue resolved I guess?

I am trying to book a reservation for a journey from Paris, France to Nice Ville, France, however, due to a technical glitch on the website it won't let me reserve a seat. The reservations are for sure available when I'm not logged into my account.
