Hi there!I’m travelling from UK > France > Spain in late May/June, and a family member purchased a Eurail pass for me which I’ve now loaded onto my phone but for some reason I cannot get my booking for the first leg of the journey onto the app? The family member already purchased seat reservations for us and I have the confirmation emails but that particular leg of the journey and times do not show up and there does not seem to be an easy way to add it. Any assistance would be much appreciated! 

Hi, I’m going inter railing for 3 weeks for the first time in June. I am travelling through Spain, south of France and Italy. I’m undecided on whether to take a suitcase or buy a backpack. Everywhere I am staying is close to all the train stations so I won't be walking around with luggage for long. just wondering whether to save the cost of buying a backpack and taking a suitcase that Ive already got. Hi,I am looking to do a night train from Zurich to Ljubijana on May 23rd for the 20:40. I am very confused on the person. It says I need to buy a seat reservation of USD $18.53. Okay makes sense there. However when I go to OEBB website and click Seat Reservation only it says no tickets available. When I unclick that box, it shows me the cost of OEBB ticket starting at 55 euros and then whatever seat I want. I guess my question is, when I pay on Eurail for the seat reservation of $18.53, am I getting some sort of seat on OEBB or do I have to do something else on OEBB website?   

On the 17th of May we (my wife and I) from Venice to Napoli. By mistake I made seat reservations in the silent wagon. However it is nice to talk a bit to each other on such a long trip.Tried to correct this with Trenitalia customer service, tomnromal 1st claas, but found out that this is not easy.Questiion is double.Is silent very silent or is soft conversation allowed. In Holland itis a deathsin to make any noise. Can imagine that in Italy one is more easy.Or does someone know a fastlane for changing a seat booking? Thanks Haeije Manders

I want to use my Global Pass to travel from Paddington to Bristol Parkway. On the Eurail website I get “Not available from Eurail.com……Book online at www.acprail.com” When I go to ACPRail, i can’t use my pass, I have to purchase a ticket. Am I doing something wrong?   

I am planning a 16 day trip this month to travel from Switzerland to Italy. Arriving in Zurich airport and going to Lucerne immediately. Will then travel to Grindewald for a few days before going to Zermatt. However, my next stop from Zermatt to Venice seems to be very more than 9 hours (based on the train schedule from SBB). I am planning to go to Rome after Venice before my final destination at Milan which is where I will fly back home.My questions are :(a) Should I buy Swiss Travel pass to travel within Switzerland? What pass should I buy since there are 2 countries i am travelling (b) Is there a faster train ride to travel from Zermatt to Venice? Based on what SBB provides, it is a very long ride with the need to make 5 train changes so I am hoping to find a shorter train ride. (c) Could I obtain advice which route requires seat reservations and should I purchase 1st or 2nd class seats? Thanking in advance. 

Hello,I’m travelling with a few young girls and want to make sure my first few days of travel go as smooth as possible. I’m planning to travel from Amsterdam to Istanbul. I need to be in Istanbul on a specific date for a wedding! Therefore, my question is… do I need to take ‘buffer’ days into consideration? I am aiming to go interrailing next year in 2026, however am very prepared and like to have a look at various route options, and to accustom myself to the process I will have to go through when eventually booking my trip. I looked up the routes I want to go on during my trip with my partner, and also had a look at some of the seat reservation options for 2025 in May (which is when we want to travel next year). I see that you can book seats up to 90 days in advance, but found EVERY date within 90 days in the future completely booked up! 90 days from today is specifically the 7th of July 2025, and even those tickets were completely sold out. How do I avoid this or ensure that I can reserve a space on the more popular routes? I did check at 11am, should I be checking at midnight or early hours of the morning? The route I am talking about specifically is Avignon to Barcelona. 

Hello Fellow travellerswe are coming in may and i cant seem to get any answers to my questions!do each of us (two adults and 1 youth - 16 year old and two 9 year old) need our passes on our own phones? .kids dont have internet nor devices my 16 year old has a phone but wont have internet access if we get a pass from example:  Zurich to MIlan but decide to stop over at Como - will we lose our seat reservations? if we are on trains that dont require seat reservations and we dont book them, is there a place we can sit otherwise if the seats are full?your assistance is appreciated!family of 5 coming in from Australia to Europe!

I want to make a seat reservation for the train from milan to ventimiglia. I can do this through the interrail page, but I would like to choose the seats so that I am on the right (coastal) side. This is not possible with interrail. Via OBB I can find the train (one way & discount interrail) but there it says “no ticket available”, while I clicked “only seat reservation”. How/where can I make a seat reservation for this train?

I plan to travel from grindwald to Lucerne with golden pass. And I have eurail pass. Do I need to book seat revervstion or other pass for the train? If yes I need to buy it onlime or at train station? If I can buy at train station which one, at grindwald or interlaken station? 

Is my Interrail Pass generally valid for one day, or only for the trains I'm planning to take? So, if I miss a train, for example, can I just take the next one?

Do I have a Chance to aktivate a pass with an iPhone 6??? Thanks for help! 

Hello!I’m trying to book seat reservations on trains between Maribor and Chioggia on 12 July, but am wondering if they’re not yet available? Can anyone please confirm?Also, a while back (actually quite a few years ago) I took a train from Ljubljana to Venice, but I’m not sure such a train is still running? The suggested routes seem to be to head north to Austria before heading down to Venice and then Chioggia. Is it no longer possible to take the train from Ljubljana to Venice via Trieste?Thanks for your help in advance - it’s hugely appreciated!Mel 

Sorry if this is a silly question but I’m new to this and finding it harder than I thought!I want to book my trip but trains don’t appear when I try to add the journey for example trains from Helsinki to Kemi  and Narvik to Stockholm at the start of July.Why is that? and what should i do?Thanks for any help

Hi,I bought last year the Interrail Global pass during the sale in July. It says I need to activate it before 18 June 2025. Just to be sure: if I activate it for example on 17 June, than I will be able to use it after 18 June? Or should I use all the travel days before 18 June?Thanks!Greetings Bart

Hey,on April 17th, I need to go from Prague to Berlin.i tried to reserve a seat, but it looks like there aren’t any available .according to Eurail , seats are recommended , not required .is it still possible to get on the train?or should I find an alternative ?

I’m planning to travel to Sicily from Belgium by train in a few weeks. I was able to book seat reservations from Brussels to Messina using the Interrail web planner. However, I need to get from Messina to Palermo, and I can’t find an available ticket online, even on the ÖBB website, as recommended by other Interrail users.Has anyone encountered this issue before? Do you know the best way to book this ticket?  

Hi, I have a friend who resides in sweden who has a 15 travel day pass and wants to use an outbound journey from gothenburg to copenhagen and then go back in gothenburg without activating inbound journey (He will buy a separate ticket). Can he then use the remaining travel days to get to stockholm?. so basically travel within his country.  *Reason for traveling to stockholm is for him to catch a flight from stockholm to eastern europe and start his remaining travel days there

Hi, we’ve got 4 nights in Florence early July 2025 and looking at taking a day-trip over to Pisa one day and possibly across to Venice on another day. Can we use our Eurail pass on these trains please?I’ve checked the timetable and it seems like there’s plenty of trains departing Florence to Pisa, looking at the 08.28am train. Seems I’m unable to make seat reservations however. Do we simply board the train and show our Global Pass or I assume we need to validate a ticket somewhere? 

We are travelling this summer from Marseille to Brussels with five people on Interrail passes. There is almost or no availability on this route for seat reservations, I tried a few seconds after they were available to book to no avail. So I ended up booking seats to Lille (easy and great availability) and figured I’d pay cash for the remainder of the trip to Brussels.However, the very same train with the same number 9868, was “Fully booked” from the moment the tickets were released, even for cash tickets, from Lille to Brussels. Though a very similar TGV train, with the number 9864 travels the exact same route at the exact same time.  I managed to book tickets on this one. But my question is, is this actually the same train? It seems odd to run two TGV services at the exact same time on the exact same route, and having one be basically unbookable. This is all very to confusing, and Im hoping we just have to change places/carriage at Lille, and not run to a different platform (with only

My answer to this is no, despite it being advertised in the Eurail planner. After a long flight from Australia, trying to activate our mobile pass for the first time, the train attendant tells us it isnt valid...because Heathrow Express isnt part of Network Rail (the UK rail consortium that combines all the tracks). Im aware of this, and I was happy that the Heathrow Express was listed as being part of the Eurail pass. But no, the ticket lady said it wasnt part of the pass and that they had tried to explain to Eurail many times that they werent involved in the scheme but they kept having travellers come up to them (like I did) showing them the Eurail Planner rules/inclusions and expecting to be able to use it. Can anyone else confirm if it really is part of the pass or if it isnt and Eurail are just false advertising?

I wanted to regarding the interail outbound and inbound rules, I have a friend who lives in sweden (GOT) and is planning to meet us in copenhagen. He plans to use the outbound journey to CPH and then headback to gothenburg without using inbound journey  and then continuing the travel days within sweden from gothenburg to sweden. Will there be a problem using a travel day within sweden if  he used an outbound journey? (Like does the app consider him being out an issue)
