4 of us, 2 couples, will be traveling in Switzerland and Italy this September. Should each of us have our own e-pass on our phone or is it better for 1 person from each couple to have 2 passes?

I wanted to ask regarding my journey which involes multiple cities. If I’m going in a group of 5 should I book using the train’s local website or the eurail website regarding getting seated together. Cause I heard booking using eurail might not get you seated together and its more expensive, is that true?. Also, whats a good amount of time to prepare for booking a seat reservation for places like Paris, Amsterdam and Barcelona etc. (Would a month before the travel date be possible to book for 5 people in these places?)

Hello !Does anyone have an axperience about travelling with a dog and an interrail pass ?We want to travel in France and Italy with our dog next week ( 29 march-6 april). We havn't buy the interrail pass yet because we can't find a clear information about how to buy him his ticket.Indeed, we can buy a ticket for a dog in the website if we buy an adult ticket. But with interail we dont buy an adult ticket. So how to buy the dog ticket ? We already called trenitalia and they dont have an answer. So we are a bit blocked.Thanks a lot !

Hi there, I wanted to go to Italy by train with my mum and medium size dog.First we wanted to go from Czech republic thru Greece and then Italy and back, but it seems Greece isn’t passable still. We replanned and decided to go around Italy, but I wasn't able to make a reservation in night train from Vienna to Rome.Then I haven't found any information or possibility to book a ticket for a dog or any condition on the web of Tranitalia.I am quite lost.Do you have any experience with / suggestions for traveling by trains around Europe with a dog and mum by the time of Christmas? :)Thank you for any help!

I just discovered one small problem regarding booking sest reservations using raileurope. I’m in a group of 5 and one of them will be buying a eurail pass since he resides in europe while the rest 4 will be on interail. And when I checked to book seat reservations, I cant book seat reservations for interail and eurail in one booking. Is there any way I can solve this so we can be seated together?. Moreover not just raileuorpe but other local sites like oebb and deutschbahn doesn’t show the seating map. So is one of my friends just stuck on his own in the train for the rest of the trip?

Hey everyone! I'm planning my Interrail journey starting from Milan around July 20. My goal is to visit seven cities before flying back to Milan. So far, my plan includes Milan → Ljubljana → Prague → Krakow, but I still need to pick three more destinations.One idea I have is to continue with Vilnius → Tallinn → Helsinki, but I’m not sure if that’s the best choice. I’m looking for cities that are affordable, have great nightlife for young travelers, and offer a fun atmosphere.Do you have any recommendations for exciting and budget-friendly destinations? Planning a trip with a 4-day global Interrail pass and on the final day (27/04) will travel from Paris home to London.If I make a passholder reservation on the last Eurostar to London that day, what will happen if the train is cancelled?Seems that generally Eurostar will cover accommodation and book passengers onto a train the following morning, but I don't know whether this applies to passholders? Especially given that I wouldn't have any travel days left by the following morning?Thanks in advance for any advice!

Im planning to travel 19 MayPart of the journey is between Milan and Lugano.  I was looking yesterday trying to decide on the best route, and the whole journey from Milan to Basel was €6.Ive come to book it today and it states there is no service available.Can anyone help and advise how I can resolve this please? 

Hi there! This summer I’m going to Norway and I’ve used the interrail discount to book a ferry between Stavanger and Bergen. It states that I should show both my interrail pass and my booking when boarding the ship, but I find it unclear as to whether I should fill in a travel day for this journey or if simply showing the pass is sufficient.Thanks in advance!

I am planning to book Eurail passes for my family of 5 (2 Adults, 2 Youth, 1 Child). We are planning to book 1st Class Eurail passes. I understand that some trains in our itinerary require seat reservations and I have a few questions:If I have booked 1st Class Eurail passes for every traveler in my family, will I still be required to reserve seats on the trains that say a reservation is required? When seat reservations are required, am I required to pay the 1st Class seat reservation fee (which is higher than the 2nd Class seat reservation fee) even though I will already have a 1st Class Eurail pass? For the trains that do not require seat reservations, if I do not reserve seats am I still likely to find 5 seats together in 1st Class so I can feel confident my family can sit together in 1st Class even if we don’t have seat reservations?

Hello,I purchased a 7-day Global Pass for 4 people, so have 4 pass numbers and added a trip with multiple cities and dates (below).  If I connect the trip to my pass and later need to change dates and cities, can I do that w/out disconnecting pass from a trip? Hi,I am ready to book my first set of reservations for my sister and myself.I want to book us on a train from Paris to Lucerne in August.  I did a search that said we should use Gare de Lyon in Paris.I went to buy the reservations but they only list Basel and they don’t mention Lucerne.Do the reservations just say the name of the first city and not the name of the second train when you change trains?Please help. It's my first time in Europe.  My family of 4 is traveling from Salzburg to Roma on April 13.  The train leaves Salzburg at 8:56 goes to Woergl Hbf (seat recommended) from Woergl Hbf to Bologna Central (seat recommded), Bologna Central 16:37 to Roma Termini 18:40 (seat reservations required) and finally Roma Ostiense to Roma S. Pietro.  Seeing this I bought the seat reservations from Bologna Central to Roma Termini.   Does this mean that I automatically will be able to get on the other trains or is it possible we won't be allowed on the other trains if we don't have seat reservations.  For example, I tried to get a seat reservation from Woergl Hbf to Roma Termini but I was unable to because it looked like the train was full.  Does this mean that I won't be able to do that leg of the journey and if so do I have to find a different way to get to Bologna Central by 16:37

I will turn 80 whilst on a 3 week train journey and now need a walking stick and am unable to carry any suitcases - can I apply for assistance from check-in on trains please ?Should i have a Eurail pass with a code or stamp on it ? I have the Pass Order for me & my husband (email printed copy) and an interrail payment confirmation with Order ID number (posted to me in London from Ultrecht and these bits of information have enabled me to book trains & seats online, so guess that all is ok ?  just a first timer worrying a little ??  

I had been planning trip from Naples to Paris in a single day on 20 May, one night hotel in Paris before returning to UK on 21 May.However, Naples to Paris is to be over 2 days.  I had thought overnight in Mulhouse, because its small so should be easier for accommodation near the station.  A commenter has put me off staying there.My requirements are this: an easy trip on day 2 so can grab a good few hours in Paris.  A place that is safe, cheap and easily accessible to the train station for an early start on day 2 to Paris.  Low reservations.  And preferably beautifully scenic.That is the ideal, asking a lot, but prepared to compromise.  Also happy to have longer connections in interesting stations .Any ideas and plans would be gratefully accepted.Thank you 

Hello, I’m scheduling a trip by train with my kids from Madrid to Milan with different stops (Valencia, Barcelona, Girona, Montpellier, Frejus, Sanremo, and Milan). We should leave Madrid on the 20th of April and be back in Milan on the 2nd May. I have to arrive in Frejus on the 27th April to attend a wedding the day after. I have a client who uses a wheelchair, and he is requesting a complimentary pass for his caregiver (his wife). If I arrange the Eurail pass through a third-party merchant like Rail Europe, can my client obtain the complimentary pass directly from Eurail?

Hello everyone! I am trying to book the night train from Zurich to Amsterdam from within the ÖBB App and although it registers the Eurail discount option the same is not reflected in the price. The price is €99 per passenger as shown in screenshot below:  Obviously I'm missing something very simple here but can't figure it out! Can someone point me to it? Thanks in advance...

Purchased two global passes for 7 days already, our trip is only on 3rd April but can seem to figure how to reserve seats from Amsterdam Centraal or Rotterdam to Eiffel Paris.
