I am planning this journey in Spain on July 29:San Sebastian 11:00 to Palencia 16:08 with Renfe MD 18012Wait 17 minutesPalencia 16:25 to Oviedo 18:13 with Renfe AVE 5721Will 17 minutes be enough to change trains? Will the MD train be on time? I don't have any experience with Spanish trains.This will my first time on a Spanish train station with x-ray security check. How long will it take? I will bring a large hiking backpack with Camping gear, including metal objects like tent poles, tent pegs, cooking pot and an (empty) fuel bottle. Maybe it will look suspecious on x-ray.My alternative would be:Palencia 20:20 to Oviedo 22:22 with Renfe Alvia 4181But that means that I will have to wait more than 4 hours in PalenciaCan I use my reservation on Alvia 4181, if my first plan fails? Palle Dam

Hi, just want to ask should I buy interrail pass of eurail pass if I am a BNO visa holder from Hong Kong living in the UK for studying?

I am trying to purchase train tickets for me and some people who are coming on this trip. when booking a train i can add members from my trip. they have all sent me money but i am unsure of the process. after purchasing the tickets do the tickets get distributed and sent to the members of the trip i have selected or do they all get sent to me?

The DB App doesn’t say one is necessary at all but somehow the Interrail App says it’ll be required (from E8). (Pretty sure I’ve been on this train before and cannot recall ever getting one...)I’m looking to get back from Germany to England in July; Brussels is faster than Amsterdam but I’d like to avoid additional reservation fees (on top of the Eurostar ones).Any advice appreciated. I’ve not yet raised a ticket with the helpdesk...

When I'm logged in on my Rail Planner app and choose a trip that has multiple train or bus changes and choose to book through EuRail it's not showing I'm purchasing the whole trip unless a seat reservation is required.  For example, I am trying to book a trip from Venice, Italy to Zermatt, Switzerland. There are 4 changes total, so 5 different vessels of transportation we will be in. Within this trip, it has 3 trains that offer open seating, a bus that has seating required, and 1 train that has seating reservations. I can select a seating preference for the train that has required seating, but I can't select anything for the bus. Once, I scroll to the bottom and try to add the whole trip to my EuRail cart, it only shows that I'm purchasing the one train ticket for the required seating, not the entire trip which includes 5 total means of transportation.  I have one more situation that is just like this, and I can't book anything until I know it's for the entire trip from point A to poin

Can we load the Apps/Passes on both of our phones, so that we have security if one of our phones in lost/stolen.

My wife and I (both seniors) will be traveling 1st class to Venice (except for the Eurostar legs) leaving London on 15.12, staying overnight in Lille and then going to Chambery the following day, staying overnight there  and onto Milan and then Venice on our third day.  We are leaving Venice on 4.1.27 and will do a similar journey coming back but not stop over in Lille.  Alternatively we may go from Chambery to Paris and take the Eurostar back from there.   I used AI to ask whether or not it was worth purchasing interrail tickets, and the response was yes- because of price inflation over the Christmas period.  I have to say that we did a similar trip last Christmas and the prices were very high.  So my 1st question is - do you agree with that assessment?     Note - if we do not use Interrail then we have the option of using the Frecciarossa to and from Lyon as an alternative to the Chambery.Ideally we don’t want to commit until after 1st August as this will be our first experience of t

Hi All,New to rail travel!Earlier in the month i arranged a trip. London > France > Italy > Switzerland > London (Via France).It’s for 4 people and includes several reserved seats over a two week period.On the day i “sorted” the trip i added all the details to the app and all the journeys were there.This included a trip from Basel (12:34) > Paris Gare De Lyon (15:38) on the 7th June ahead of getting the Eurostar at at 6pm.I am now trying to add the journeys to the other travelers apps. but we can not find this journey. There are also no other options (except for ones that require multiple changes). Does this journey still exist? this was also a journey that required a reservation and was relatively expensive. Last thing we want is to rely on this train, to find out it doesn’t exist and then we miss our Eurostar journey!Any help much appreciated.

Hi,I’ve planned an Journey on the website and gave it a name.When I open the Journey all I can do is edit travellers an so on  but not the details of the Journey.Is it possible or do I have to make a new Journey? Thanks for help.Gerhard

I’ve seen on the SBB website that there’s a direct train from Lugano to Venice Santa Lucia. However, the train doesn’t appear on the Interrail app; it’s only listed up until June. Could it be that it’s still too early? I’m travelling at the end of July. I’ve seen in other forum replies that they closed a tunnel for a while last year… I hope that’s not the case. Thanks!

Help please.Travelling last week of March 2026 from Lyon to Milan.Saw somewhere that the above train, which is not currently in the pass network, was due to ‘join’ the pass network soon.Any information on the progress & timing of the ‘joining’ appreciated.Alternative is to fly London to Milan! 😗Thanks  Graeme

Hello, I purchased a Eurail Pass through  KKday, but I’m unable to add the pass to the Eurail app.When I enter my pass number and last name, I receive a message saying that I need to update the app. However, both my iPhone iOS and the Eurail app are already updated to the latest version, so I cannot update them any further. I also contacted KKday, and they advised me to contact Eurail directly regarding app-related issues. In addition, I have already tried reinstalling the app several times and restarting my iPhone, but the issue still has not been resolved. Could you please help me solve this problem? Thank you.

I’m planning on taking an Amsterdam-Berlin train tomorrow, however every train for the day is sold out of seat reservations. The website said that they were optional so I didn’t think anything of it.  My question is this: will I still be able to board the train, and if there truly are no seats available, will I be allowed to just stand or sit on the floor somewhere that doesn’t obstruct anything?

I am looking to travel from Ljubljana to Split in July, I have the ticket on the Eurail app but when I try to reserve a seat it says that “No price results were found. Pass holder reservations may be sold out for this connection, but there are other ways to check for available seats—more info below our timetable.”  and that I can’t get on the train without a reservation for any of the times/days. I have tried looking on other websites to make the reservation but none are coming up. Any ideas on how to look into it? Reservations only opened up yesterday and I need to get that train as my flight back home is from Split.

Hi, For my trip from Munich to Bologna, there is a replacement bus from Innsbruck to Bolzano. I can book seats from Munich to Innsbruck, but I can't book seats on the bus. Is that possible, and if not can we be sure to get a seat on the bus in july? /Karina 

Can anyone advise why it isn’t possible to book a train from Lulea in Sweden to Oulu, Finland? Its clear that there are trains running, but not bookable on inter rail app!

We're a family of 5 looking to book the overnight sleeper from Berlin to Stockholm. Couchettes sleep 6 and we'd like a private sleeper cabin. Booking for 5 (each with Railcard), it's 2,075 SEK, in a shared cabin while the private cabin comes in at an eye watering 11,410 SEK!!!Adding a 'phantom child' ticket (without a Railcard) to ensure we don't share, comes in at a reasonable 3,192SEK.Has anyone had experience of booking for a non travelling child?! Are there any risks of doing this? Penalty fares?! 😬

As part of my upcoming trip, I booked a reservation on a Eurocity train between Zurich HB and Milano through the Eurail website. Listed under “conditions of use” on the ticket it says “This ticket is valid only when printed with a laserjet or inkjet printer on a white A4 sheet of paper, blank on both sides, in portrait format (vertical) and in the original, unchanged font size. Under no circumstances may it be presented on other media (electronic, screen, etc.).” I live in the United States and do not have easy access to A4 paper. Can I get away with 8.5”x11” paper as is commonly found here, since they are very similar? Can they print it for me at the Zurich train station? Is there a way to add this to my apple wallet with every other reservation I have instead? Thanks in advance.

Hi there - I live in the UK but am coming back from a holiday in Italy in June with family, but plan to go:Day 1: Rome-ZurichDay 2: Zurich-London….and then a couple of weeks later:Day 3: London-ParisDay 4: Paris-London….using the “4 days in one month” of an Interrail pass. Is this thing allowable? I was reading about how you can only use one entrance/exit in into a “home country” - but I’m not starting off from my home country, so I’m a bit confused if this will work...Any help appreciated with this technicality !
