Good afternoon guys, I am trying to understand the Eurail Global Pass. (New to Europe). Hope you guys can help.So it would be a family of 11 persons. 3 adults, 2 seniors, 4 youths, 1 child, 1 infant. ( I realized the child and infant are free). Travel Dates 27th December 2022- 14th January (thats the time we have allotted for going to the different cities).Cities we have in mind( bare in mind we will be based in London so at of the week we will return to London): 1st Week: Amsterdam, Brussels & Luxembourg then back to London 2nd Week: Paris, Switzerland & Italy then back to LondonMy questions are:Travel Day; Can we use “one travel day” to Brussels and then lets say Antwerp on the same day as long as its before 11:59pm?  Seeing that it is 11 of us, do we have to reserve seats for any of those routes?  Is it possible to have all 9 passes on one device?

Quick question - we are travelling from Paris to Caen on Friday 5th August and are, so far, unable to book online as there are no reservations remaining.  According to the Eurail advice, we can buy the tickets at the station.  Will these be at our Eurail/Interail discount or will we be paying full price?

At the eurail website they say I have to change trains 1x. On the Austrian train connection website they say I have to change trains 2x. Which one is right?My journey will be from Zurich to Ljubljana and will definately make 1x stop in Schwarzach St. Veit (Austria).

Hi everyone :) I want to book a Seat reservation for the train from Frankfurt HBF to Paris Est since it is mandotory. However, neither in the interrail nor the DB website is it possible to book it. I am currently in Kopenhagen so i can't go to a ticket machine and try it there. I do have to take this train so i dont know what to do. Anybody got some suggestions? :)

I am using a mobile app and have booked seat reservations for all the journeys that the app required them for a couple of months ago. The app has no way of allowing me to book a reservation from Hamburg to Copenhagen, but I wanted to book one for ease of mind, but it just says a seat reservation is not required. However, when I use the interrail website, it says that I must book a reservation but will not allow me to do so. I cannot seem to do it through DB or DSB either. Do you know how I might be able to book one? Many thanks

I am a solo traveler from South Africa. Since I don't care for sharing tables and seat arrangements with strangers I bought a 1st class Eurail pass. All works fine for booking seat reservations with EC and ÖBB trains. But unfortunately the bulk of my travel is in Italy and I was hoping to book Frecciarossa seats between Venice, Florance, Rome and Napels. Unfortunately none of these trains are being listed post 18 September 2022 on either Eurail app or ÖBB sites. I was informed it best to make Frecciarossa seat reservation via ÖBB. But nothing yet available. Although you can buy tickets and seats on TrenItalia and many other sites that does not support Eurail. It is such a dissspointment to see prime seats on selected 1st class journeys dissapear 1 by 1 as I am unable to make any seat reservation post 18 September. My travel dates for these journeys are 29 Sept, 1 October, 6 October. Seems like I will have to just bear and grin while sharing seat arrangements with total strangers. A sit

Dear Community,I’ve had so many issues with my interrail tickets over the past few days. I had urgent questions as my tickets didn’t arrive in time (or got lost), and they do not have a contact number…..why not? I lost a lot of money and wasn’t even able to travel with my pass. I sent several emails to the customer service of interrail and they do not respond to me. Also on twitter they haven’t been answering. Can someone help me with this? Did people have the same issues? Did people manage to get a refund for their passes and additional reservation costs?I am disappointed and desperate. With the same pass I have a trip planned for this Friday (already paid for the high speed trains), and I desperately need them to answer to me, otherwise my global pass will be completely unused:(Help me! 

I’m planning to travel from Prague to Budapest next month via night train and have made a reservation for a sleeper cabin.I’ve got my paper ticket through the post and it says ‘Gentleman T3’ for the cabin - I’m a female traveller and I read online that sleeper cabins were all female or all male? Does anyone know if this is meant to be the case and my ticket is a mistake?Thanks! 

Hi, I made a seat reservation on May 31th Order ID R2022188767. I paid 52 US dollars with the post delivered included, but today the paper reservations hasn´t arrived yet. They send the paper reservation via PostNL but the tracking guide doesn´t updated since 10th of June. I tried to contact support two times but Eurail always answer “We will try to get back to you within 2 days” and never answer with a solution.My travel is in 20 days and i need to have the reservation. I'm going from Venice (S. Lucia) to Vienna on the Obb nightjet, but accidentally only reserved from Venice (Mestre) because that was the default that came up in the reservation tool and i didn't realise where the different stations were. Can i get on the train at S. Lucia anyway, or do i need to book an additional reservation for that portion (or go on an earlier S. Lucia to Mestre train that doesn't need a reservation)? I've got quite a few bags so would ideally like to avoid an extra change, but also baulk at paying what looks like 16 euros for a reservation for the S. Lucia to Mestre portion of the journey! 

I have digital interrail pass for me and my teen-age son. We are travelling from PARIS to ANTIBES in a few days. The online booking service asks for interrail pass cover number, but that can only be found on paper version. We don’t have paper version. The eurail number generator produced a cover number, but that doesn’t work. How to reserve seat in this situation? TGV phone line doesnt answer, just playing songs… 

Hi, on twitter today, someone has found out that in the PACA region (Region South East of France - like Nice. For trips between Paca and Occitanie (South West) is it valid.For more information please check on Twitter.@Nanja @Marion Can you please check if here is a mistake by the regions in France or can they say, Interrail/Eurail is not more valid? 

Hello, I wanted to ask which pass (Interrail or Eurail) I should choose if I have temporary residence permit in germany. I’m a student here. Do they check the documents while travelling? And if yes what should I show them: my passport or residence permit?

Hello, for personal reasons I will not be able to make the Interrail trip that I had planned for this August. I received the pass thanks to the raffle carried out by DiscoverEU, and I would like to use it in the summer of 2023. To do this, since this year's pass will expire, I have read that an exchange is necessary, and I have to buy a new pass first, and later, contact you for the refund of the older Interrail pass. My question is that, if I have received the trip through DiscoverEU, I am also entitled to this exchange and subsequent reimbursement, in order to be able to carry out my long-awaited trip in the summer of 2023. Hi, we have a urgent issue. We are travelling in 2 days with our 3 children. All have the correct country of residence (NL) except for our son who erroneously has country of residence Ukraine in the booking. Last week we asked for support to have this error undone and to change this to Netherlands but so far have not received a response. Hello Interrail-experts.I have a question: recently I bought an Interrail German Rail Pass for 2 months with 10 traveling days. However, in the Trainapp it only shows a duration for only 1 month. Is this a common problem? How could I fix this? Hope someone can help!

Hello everyone,We have a question about our interrail pass. In the app it says there is no seat reservation required for our train form Hamburg (Germany) to Malmö (Sweden). However, on the website of DB (train in Germany) it says a seat reservation is required. Can we still go with this train but then sit somewhere on the ground / still available seats or is that not aloud and is a seat reservation absolutely necessary? I have some questions about the train between Hamburg Dammtor and Innsbruck at 20:21 the 23 of July.Why can’t I make a reservation on this train?when I search on this train in the reservation tool it doesn’t show it and I try to book it on DB it says that reservation is impossible and that they can’t sell the ticket online?

Hey, im going on my first interrail the August, and om looking for the seat reservations. I do feel like some reservationen go quite high in price compared to others? Ex. i have a reservation form Copenhagen til Hamburg for 4 Euros, and then an other from Brussel to Paris for 26 Euros? I think it runs up really fast, it that's the normal prices? or am I doing something wrong? :-) Hope someone have an answer. 

I know a different question has been asked before. the rail planner app and interrail reservation site have the train listed as two seperate trains, propably changes at the border. bought the reservation/ticket for a sleeper via the czech railway website, which lists it as one train. sooo … does that count as one travel day or two since the “second” train starts at 4:55??

Hi,3 issues I hope someone has experience of and answers to:we’re looking to travel over night from Messina back to the UK on 21 September (2 of us) but the Interrail app (Global Pass) is only giving me options with about 10 or so changes! When I look on Trenitalia, there are Frecciarossa and Frecciargento sleepers with just 1 or 2 changes but no option to book/reserve with interrail (none that I can see - have looked at all the discount options but no Interrail). How do I book a sleeper from Messina to London (stopping in Milan or Turin for the night)? in sicily itself, what’s the best way of getting from Trapani to Siracusa stopping off in Piazza Armerina (or Enna) on the way? Looks like buses are the best option, but maybe you’ve found a good rail route? would a ferry - with or without interrail - from Milazzo/Messina back to mainland Italy and then a train back to London from Naples or Rome be better?Thanks for any suggestions,Julia

Hello,we’re actually in France but because of the extremely hot weather we‘re thinking about visiting Norway instead of Spain. The question is, are we allowed to travel trough Germany (we live in Germany) or would this end our trip because it’s our inbound ticket back to Germany?

Hallo zusammen, vielleicht hatte jemand schon mal dieses Problem und kann mir helfen. Ich habe ein global Pass den ich aktivieren weil ich eigentlich losfahren möchte. Leider akzeptiert  wird mir bei dem letzten Schritt (Eingabe der Reisepassnummer) jedes Mal mit geteilt „uups hier ist etwas schief gelaufen, bitte wenden Sie sich an den Kundenservice, wenn das Problem weiter besteht (was es tut) .  Da meine Erfahrung mit der Antwortdauer des Kundenservices etwas unterirdisch ist  stelle ich meine Frage hier im Forum. Habt ihr so etwas schon mal gehabt und wie konntet ihr das lösen. Beim letzten Mal hat es völlig problemlos bei mir klappt es ist also keinster Weise für mich nachzuvollziehen wieso es jetzt nicht klappt. Vielen Dank
