Hi,I am Sher. I have an Indonesian passport but currently I am on my student exchange to Sweden. Due to this reason, I also hold a temporary residence permit for Sweden (August 2022 to January 2023). Would you recommend me to buy an interrail pas or must i buy eurail pass? Other than that, I would tentatively visit 7 cities within 1 month (Paris → Berlin → Bern → Liechtenstein → Salzburg → Vienna → Budapest). Ideally, I would buy the 7 travel days. However, I realised that Liechtenstein is not part of the eurail. Hence, would you recommend me buying the 5 travel days plan? Thank you

Ik reis op een zondag in november op mijn driemaands global van Amsterdam naar Parijs en moet dan de Thalys nemen. Ik heb de toeslag van € 30,- gekocht en ging er vanuit dat ik het Nederlandse deel van het traject zou kunnen dekken met mijn Weekend Vrij, maar ik begin nu te twijfelen. De inbegrepen outbound heb ik dan al gebruikt (wil ik morgen, 2-9, gaan gebruiken).Gaat dat goed?

Hi All!I'll be visiting the UK and would like to purchase tickets for a one day trip to Paris and back.  However, when looking up information,  I'm a bit confused as to what to pay?  Would like to do 1st class seats there, but I am reading that I also have to purchase a reservation.   Can someone please guide me to a good website on purchasing tickets and what excited is needed?  Also, do I need a global pass for this one day trip?

Hi fellow Interrailers, has anybody managed to get a delay compensation from Eurail?I have tried to submit my delay compensation request multiple times using different browsers/devices but have never managed to get any confirmation message once I submitted my request (neither on the webpage itself nor by email) nor have I heard back from Eurail by email ever since.Now, I am wondering whether the online compensation form actually works and how I can get in touch with them. Anyone in a similar situation? According to their policies, I understand such compensations should be processed in 10 days. Thanks.

Hello all, I have questions regarding to interail pass.I’m not an European citizen, but I bought a interail pass because I’m staying in Germany for 1 year and got residence permit.While I was planning my travel around Europe, I need 2 inbound and 2 outbound each.In this case, do I have to buy additional inbound and outbound ticket? If yes, how can I buy it?Also, will it be possible for me to change interail pass to eurail pass?Thanks for your answer.

Hi, I am traveling around Greece and bought the eurrail. We are trying to go from Milos to Santorini on the 2Oth of July. From Santorini to Mykonos on the 22nd of July, and from Mykonos to Athens on the 24th of July. We are trying to figure out if these lines are possible but the Employees at the ticket offices in Greece told us that we can only travel along the certain domestic routes and that most of our planned trips from island to island were not possible with the eurrail. Is there anyone who can help us out?  

Il mese scorso ho acquistato le prenotazioni dei treni che necessitavano di un supplemento, sia quelli cartacei, che quelli digitali. I biglietti digitali mi sono giunti il giorno stesso per mail, mentre quelli cartacei sono stati spediti qualche giorno dopo, tuttavia non sono ancora arrivati, tracciando la spedizione sembra che il pacco sia in Italia, ma non si sa quando giungerà a destinazione. Dato che tra pochi giorni devo partire per l'interrail mi chiedevo se fosse possibile ricevere un documento digitale che certifichi i posti sui treni da me acquistati.

Hi guys!I want to travel from zagreb to rijeka. In HZ (national train transport company), which is related to interrail, there is a direct trip from zagreb to split which would be perfect for us, but in the reservation app of interrail it doesnt appear. Instead, there is another one that makes an stopover in Ljubjana (Slovenia), but we only have teh one country pass, so… What can we do? Could we take the direct train without reservation? Or should we take the global pass in order to go to ljubjuana? Isn’t there any option to make the stopover in Ljubjana without having the global pass? Thanks!

Hi, I have problem with my interrail ticket. I won it in Discover EU program and it should be used until 30.09. In an app I activated it 30.08 and then deactivated it and set to be activated on 31.08 - I fought it would be activated automatically and today when I opened app I saw this message. We have yet to activate our passes for our trip to Europe at the end of august and we just reserved seats on one of the legs of our trip, only to realize that my fiancé is listed as a female. Does this mean his eurail pass too will say he is “Ms?” If so, is it a big deal or do I need to do something about it?

I'm planning a trip with my mother in switzerland for 4 days and i was wondering if the 1st class option is worth the difference in price since some trains don't even offer 1st class. We're going from paris -> geneve -> interlaken -> jungfrau and back to paris. Is it worth it for my mom? Is it more comfortable? And which areas don't have the 1st class options on trains?And is it possible to purchase a 2nd class pass but upgrade to 1st on a couple trains like on the goldenpass line

We made a trip, with several journeys. When we try to edit the trip, it says “ connect a pass to this trip”. When we activate this it says “choose which pass you want to travel with” and it says  “paper pass”. And we can not change this. And we have a mobile pass. What should we do?

I haven’t received a confirmation email even though I paid for the Europass for more than a day.Where do I request a confirmation email?And I wrote my driver’s license number on the passport number and ID number, is there no problem with using Eurail Pass?

Hey guys,I’ve been a lurker since I bought my 2 month global pass but it seems like it will fail on the 5th day.Our ticket were supposed to arrive two weeks ago with PostNL but unfortunately the postman marked the parcel as refused without trying to deliver it or ring our bell or give the neighbors or give it to the post office . The parcel is now it’s on its way back to interrail. I tried to contact interrail via email and chat support but they’re not answering. I talked with PostNL but they apparently don’t have any control over it and only the sender can resend it. I talked with SNCF but the woman said she can’t book me another ticket because it’s booked out. We are leaving Germany in 3 days. Marseille is our second stop after Paris. Does anybody know what other options there are? We have reservation but we don’t have the paper ticket. Can we get a copy ticket in Paris office? Do you think interrail will ever answer to us? Even if they do will it every arrive on time? Do you thinks

HI,We have several questions regarding our Christmas trip. It is our first time taking Eurrail/Interrail.We live in Mannheim, Germany, planning to travel to friends near London in Christmas. We are a family of 5 (3 kids age - 8, 10 & 12 years old).Our trip is a total of 10 days and we plan to visit Manchester for 2 days. I imagine we will need to buy a 4 days tickets (German To & from London, London to & from Manchester). I saw that there is a ‘One Country Pass’ 4 days pass that is 619€.Is it the correct type of tickets we should get?The itinerary schedule I saw on the web is: Mannheim Main train station (hbf) to Paris, then London. Since I stopped Paris for transit, is it still considered ‘One Country’? If I purchase this ‘One country 4 days tickets’, that means I dont have to buy any other tickets correct? except booking the seats from Paris to London On our return trip, I saw that it is London to Brussel, Belgium to Mannheim, Germany. Hello,I am fully aware that a Global Pass is only valid in countries other than my own (except those two days).However, České dráhy (Czech national railway operator) claim on the Interrail page of their site that “During the ticket’s term of validity, it is possible to return to the Czech Republic and to use the same ticket to travel out again, without any formalities.” - https://www.cd.cz/en/typy-jizdenek/mezinarodni-jizdenky/-28278/That confuses me quite a lot because there’s been this https://community.eurail.com/eurail-interrail-passes-41/interrail-global-pass-with-bahncard-100-2646 overwhelming discussion that I can NOT arrive and depart more times BUT that Interrail can be combined with a network-wide ticket. I have no problem with buying ČD’s summer ticket to cover the Czech republic as it’s remarkably cheap, but I’m just confused whether the statement above is true or whether the truth is somewhere in between.Thank you so much :)Daniel

Hi!I am a South African citizen (living in SA), currently in England, however I left my SA passport at my brothers house elsewhere in Europe. I currently only have my Italian passport and my SA drivers license on me. I also have SA police verified copies of my SA passport and ID with me.I am currently attempting to purchase a Eurrail pass, however I do not have my SA passport with me. Would an SA drivers license, or the copies of my ID & passport be sufficient as proof of identification? Thank you in advance for your assistance.

At this moment we are staying in Slovakia but we are planning to go to Krakow. It is not possible to book a seat online, so we will have to do that in Ostrava (that’s where we will start the trip to Poland). However, we are afraid the train will be fully booked by that time.. Has anyone travelled to Krakow recently and can tell us how busy the trains were? 

Hello, I am planning to go interrailing in three weeks and starting to book train reservations. I noticed that, for example, when travelling from Wien to Bratislava, Rail Planner App says that you don’t need a reservation. But how can I be sure that there is room in the train 3 weeks from now if I don’t book a seat?? This is making me stress a lot because I don’t want any surprises, like missing the train, when travelling😅

Hi,I’d like to take an overnight train from Hamburg to Copenhagen. On the official Interrail website it says that reservations aren’t required, but in the official Interrail app it says that they are. Which one is correct?Thanks!Anna

Hi peeps, we have arrived in Italy with a prepaid Eurail pass and it has failed us already. We have a booking reference number from our agent… problem is that we a) we havent travelled yet and our mobile pass says that we have used day 1 of our 4 days in one month...have yet to step foot on a train.we do not know how to load or access the booking number. the pass 1st class Eurail Italy Mobile Pass 4 days in one month already paidCan anyone out there help me please as we need to catch the train tomorrow morning  and nobody here seems to be able to help and we cannot contact our agent as it is the middle of the night in Australia.ThanksCorinne :)

Bonjour. J’ai un problème avec mon Interrail Global Pass. Je n’ai actuellement utilisé que 9 journées de voyage, dont 1 outbound, mais l’application me considère 10 journées de voyage utilisées. L’application me bloque au 31 Août mais je souhaite utiliser ma dernière journée de voyage le dimanche 4 septembre. J’ai déjà réservé mes places pour les trajets requis du 4 septembre.Svp aidez moi à finaliser ma réservation et débloquer l’application car j’ai encore 1 journée utilisable sur mon Global Pass. Merci beaucoup  

Hi there! So I’m in Barcelona right now and yesterday I went to the train station to get a seat reservation to Bordeaux St Jean and they told me I could only get one for the transit train to Nerbonne, wich I did and the seat reservation from Narbonne to Bordeaux I should get when I’m in France or online. But when I was trying to get it online It asks me for a “Interrail cover number” but the thing is I have the mobile pass and not the paper format. I won´t be in france until exactly the day of my journey, and the missing seat reservation is for the train I would need…. so it would be really risky to wait until minutes before departure to go in person to the service at the station and ask for buying the seat reservation. That is really risky. If that doesn´t work, I lost the following connections for what I already have reservations.Could somebody with experience on this help me, please? I cannot believe that this risky way is really the only way…Thanks a lot in advance!Cheers,Tim.
