Hi guys, does anyone know of ways to get from Zagreb to Budapest as seat reservations are now unavailable on the rail app? Without having to pay a full priced ticket instead.Thanks :)

Hello, I have planned a route for spain and portugal and I have a global pass for a month. Can you help me in terms of lowering cost and planning better?Places and dates are as follows:10th -12th June Granada12-14th June Malaga 14-16th Sevilla16-19th Lisbon19-21st Porto21-24th Madrid24-26th barcelonaI wont use my pass between lisbon and seville. I ll use bus for that trip. Are there free reservations on other trips and can you also advise on the dates? Is there any night trains? Since I mostly try to use couchsurfing app, the dates are flexible. I dont know that I can find a place at everywhere, but im trying. I can also appreciate any help or advise regarding accommodation. Additionally, is there any advantage of using global pass except the trains? What I mean is is there a discount or any type of activities?thank you so much in advance

When I’m trying to reserve a seat for a nighttrain between Cluj Napoca to Budapest, I’ll go to the checkout and see I’ll have to pay an additional 9 euros for shipping the ticket to my home adress on top of the original price. Does someone know if I can switch this paper reservation to simply being send with email, or maybe an online reservation? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I’m moving from Costa Rica to Europe, and I will arrive at Barajas Airport in Madrid. My question is, with the global pass, do I have any form of transportation to get to the center of Madrid, or do I need to buy some other train pass?

I have some work in Kongsburg (near Oslo) on 4th July. I’d like to do all the travel by train. I have a family in Utrecht (en route nearly). So this would require leaving home in Welwyn Garden on 2nd July, staying with family in Utrecht and then on 3rd doing the Utrecht to Kongburg larger 2nd half of the journey. Returning on 5th with hopefully everything in reverse. Would buying some kind of pass enable a fare reduction ?

If I have entered a longer journey with several changes in the mobile app: One of the trains is late and I cannot catch the following trains. Do I then have to put together a new trip or can I take other trains (no reservations) with the notice of the delay without having to re-enter everything?Or, optionally, can I immediately insert several trains as a ticket whose times overlap?

Does the Bernina Express stop in St. Moritz?  Looks like it doesn’t, though I can choose St. Moritz as a destination point on the Bernina Express website.  Are those non-Bernina regional trains?  Will the journey (views) be the same as the Bernina Express (other than the jog over to St. Moritz instead of Pontresina?

Hi everyone,I haven't found the answer to my problem in the community yet.I will be traveling in August for my first Interrail trip with a 5-day Global Pass. I plan to depart from Rome (Italy is my home country) on an Intercity Train to Trieste, and then take a bus to Croatia. This way, I would use one day (out of the 5) of my pass.My question is: am I obligated to use the inbound journey as well? Or can I use the outbound journey without using the inbound one, and consequently return to my country by plane?

Hi all,This summer I would like to visit the Balkans as part of my interrail pass. However I do have some questions, so I hope someone can help me! The route I'm intending to take is as follows:Split Mostar Dubrovnik Kotor Bar Belgrade LjubljanaI already figured out that I need to take the bus to reach the first 4 destinations and to go from Belgrade to Ljubljana. I do have some questions about the rest of the route. Is there a train running from Kotor to Bar? Since I'm traveling in summer, there should be a night train from Bar to Belgrade. Is there any way I can reserve this train in advance?Could someone help me? If anyone has any additional advice regarding this route it would also be appreciated!  

Hi, I was delayed by over two hours on a journey from Bruxelles to Hamburg on 13th May after DB cancelled my connecting train to Koln. I want to make a claim for the delay to Interrail but apparently I need a screenshot of my pass ticket for the day. I didn’t take one at the time. I’ve also deleted the journey from my trip. I can’t see anyway of getting the required screenshot now. Does anyone know if there is any way of doing this? Thanks.

Hi there,Preparing for my next trip (with Global Pass) I saw, that except the Dublin-Belfast route, I cannot find trains and stations from Northern Ireland in the RailPlanner app (nor in the map, neither at the search). Does it mean, that the pass is not valid on the other (Bangor, Larne, Londonderry, etc.) lines, or only a lack of data exists?

I am trying to book a required reservation from Split to Zagreb on June 10th at 8:23 and arriving at 15:09.  It appears to book and charges my credit card.  Then it says it is not available and gives me a credit.  This is with OBB. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Worrying so much with horror stories of app, I’m greatly considering changing to paper ticket for trip in July with teenage daughters. I’m finding it all very confusing.Thoughts on changing please? many thanks , Melanie 

From the 1st of June till September, a seat reservation is obligatory on the ICEs between Amsterdam and Frankfurt. Normally, I can make a (first class) reservation at the website of the DB for € 5,90. But last week, when making a reservation in that period from Bern-Amsterdam, I suddenly had to pay double, € 11,80. Did anyone else experience this? How could this be prevented? It seems like a very healthy business model to me, making a reservation obligatory and then doubling the prices… For now, I just buy reservations for the leg Frankfurt-Amsterdam, but that means I’m screwed when the connection does’t work, which happens frequently.

I’m feeling a little neurotic at the thought of everything about my trip being on my smartphone and not having a hard copy backup.  (It did not help that there was an item on the news today about phone thefts!)I really don’t expect to use the pages below but I can’t see why they should not be acceptable as an alternative to scanning my phone in a worst case scenario.  (Obviously as this is an open forum I have redacted all personal information.  However I hope it is clear what I have done.)  Basically I have produced on three pages everything that is to be found on the ticket of a given day.  At the start of each new page I have shown some information which is specific to the ticket from the previous page.Clearly I appreciate that this is for a particular set of trains planned for before setting off on my travels.  However I am only travelling for seven days and I know precisely which trains I plan to catch.Am I deluding myself to think that I’ve got myself a back up system here?? Pete

Hey guys, i was just trying to buy a Ticket from Barcelona Sants to Paris Gare de Lyon on 15 june at the Renfe Desk. But they could not find „Paris“ and also on Renfe.com you cant find Paris Station. Can anyone help me? 

I’m taking the Ankara-Kars train in July, then heading to Tblisi. Are there currently buses running from Kars to Tblisi direct, or do I have to go north via Batumi?

I’m trying to book the nightjet from Prague to Zurich on August 24th. However I’ve looked many times over the past few weeks and although there is availability for the next month, there’s nothing for August at all it seems. Could be sold out, but seems like something else is the issue. I’ve written to nightjet with no response from them. I’ve tried on the Czech railways site as well.Can anyone help?

I’ve written a couple of times to them over the years and I’ve never actually had a response. Once trying to claim a delay repayment and once recently about a booking query. Neither time did I actually get anything back. Same with DB. Do they exist, can you get a response? Do they just ignore English!?I don’t think much of the train companies in the UK, but one thing we do have is delay repay which does work really well.

So, I believe I have all my seat reservations, especially the ones that get me to my next destination, but I did have some general questions.Are seat reservations required from Glasgow to London in the summer? Eurail says they are but I have seen others say they aren’t. I’m going to the F1 race in Austria, but staying in Vienna, should I make a seat reservation or will I be okay if I don’t? I’m planning on visiting a couple of other cities, while in Glasgow, London, and Italy, I know Italy requires reservations, but should I make them now or is the night before okay? Glasgow to Edinburgh and possibly Inverness London to Oxford, Dover, and Bakewell Rome to Venice, Pisa, or Florence

Hello, As suggested by experts, for Caledonian sleeper journey from Edinburgh to London Euston, we have to add the journey manually with time as 00.40 CET, But I don't see any option to add manually now.Also, I can see 2 trains journey by Rail planner starting at 23.40, which one to add and how to add? Are both Caledonian sleeper?1) Edinburgh (23.40) -->(00.11) Carstairs (00.20) -->(6.40)Watford (6.53)-->(7.09)London Euston2.)Edinburgh (23.40) -->(00.11) Carstairs (00.20) -->(7.15)London Euston And below screenshot showing no option to add manually, add to journey redirects to planner page.TIA

We’re a family of.5 travelling from Milan to Zermatt in August 2024. What’s the best train route we can take for this trip? When I search using Eurail app, the route that comes up is: Milan Centrale → Domodossola (By Bus???); Domodossola → Brig (By Train); Brig Bahnhof → Zermatt (By Train)Is this the best way to do this trip? And is Milan Centrale to Domodossola route can only be done by Bus? Can we use our Global Eurail Pass for the Bus? Appreciate your help and tips on what the best route we can take for this Milan to Zermatt trip. Thank you.

FSE seems to be owned by/just a regional division of Trenitalia and using trenit app or Trenitalia web site the (many) regional trains and stations in Puglia appear (as do a lot of busses!) but these stations and trains don't appear in railplanner app. Does this mean we have to buy tickets for these routes and can't use our eurail passes?

Hi! We’re traveling trough Spain and have to back at the 11th of may. Now we just heard that the train from Barcelona to Lyon isn’t going that weekend. Our Seats are already booked from Lyon to home (Utrecht) at the 11th and we can’t delay our trip to the 12th. Already had contact with Renfe, NS International and Interrail but so far no help yet…. Anyone any ideas? Thanks!
